Great value for money
Location. Staff are incredibly friendly. Quiet Great cocktail bar downstairs.
Rooms getting a bit tired in the bathroom but otherwise are great
Location. Quiet. Boutique size Cocktail bar downstairs
Desk chair is a pouf/ottoman. If you've got lots of work to do, it's not ideal.
Lovely personnel and the location is great
The bedroom was very small though clean
Alright Hotel for a one night layover.
Small, cosy and comfortable, 2.5 star hotel. Clean and Tidy for the price. Friendly staff. Sheets and towels were nice and clean.
We were not told there was a hidden minibar. Also the entrance to the hotel is nice but it has a ghastly display of bottles and mixologist stuff in the window making it look tacky and like an entrance to a bong shop. This Hotel could increase it's star rating easily if it got a designer to spiffy it up. It is looking a bit dated. A bit more general lighting would be good. I for one like a darker hotel and room but appreciate if the hotel I stay in had the option to brighten it, e.g. when packing, and checking that the dim lighting is not to hide dirt or marks.
I loved the location of the Kirketon. Darlinghurst is an amazing neighborhood. The staff was friendly and their bar is convenient. Their boutique look made this hotel stand out amongst the crowd. Near the Kings Cross subway line which can take you almost anywhere in the city. Also the local coffee shop down the street is great.
The rooms were very small. Very tight fittings if traveling as a couple.
A stay at Kirketon Hotel Sydney places you in the heart of East Sydney, within a 10-minute walk of St Vincent’s Hospital and Crown Street. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
