Surfers Paradise hotels near Cavill Avenue

Pros: Excellent and location was perfect

Cons: All in all was awsom . The spa only failed. We had it for one day only.

Cons: carpet in the hotel was not clean and sticky.

Pros: The restaurant at the coco , we had all you could eat buffet, it was awesome

Pros: The hotel included nice restaurants that provided delicious food and great service. Rooms were of decent size and the location was within walking distance of the main shopping area.

Cons: In short, we were placed in the first room on level 8 that had blood stains on the curtains. We requested to change the room and were able to, but the hotel didn't recognize or acknowledge our concerns. The second room on the same level had further stains on the blinds and carpets that make you realize that this is a party hotel for "schoolies" and not adults, couples or a family retreat.

Pros: Great place to stay. Central to everything, very clean and great facilities.

Pros: Location was in the city near the heart of town

Cons: I was staying at the hotel and thought it would be nice to have some appetizers and a drink at the bar in the lobby, after I ordered a security officer came up to me and said hats were not allowed in the bar after 7pm. I had never been in this bar so I had no idea of a dress code at it was 7:15 so I wasn't really formally dressed for an evening just yet because I had spent the day on the beach. I am an executive at my company, I am usually always dressed well but that day I had board shorts a t shirt and a hat. I explained to security I was simply going to pay for my drinks and go upstairs when he left onto the bar, put his arm down and said "it's simlple mate you can either take it off or I'll do it for you" I was so taken back; I'm staying in a 5 star hotel and never expected to be threatened physically by a member of their staff. I immediately responded with that's not the way to talk to people, I approached the reception and asked for the GM... The GM was not on so an assistant manager was the acting duty manager. As I'm explaining to the Asst Manager I was so distraught by the school yard bully approach of a corporate prestigious hotel that the manager himself could tell it wasn't appropriate what there security had done. I look over at the bar area near the hotel lobby and the security is standing outside with a smirk on his face staring me down followed by putting his hands up in a threatening gesture. I asked the manager if he felt that tactic was appropriate given the situation and he agreed it was wrong and offered me free drink ticket. The last thing on my mind was having a drink inside the bar where the own staff seem to be out of control. Aside from many other things I felt were very lacking in this hotel that was enough for me to want to leave, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemies.

Cons: Had to pay for parking which I was hoping would be included. Check out was at 10am! Thats way too early.

Cons: Check in. We were told off for booking with booking. Com as it classed my 16 year old as a child. There cut off is 12. She complained they would have to get a roll bed and they may not have any. Then told me my breakfast package was for 2 adults and 2 kids. But we had 3 adults. So would have to pay more for one extra adult but no refund for the 2 kids I didn't have. She treated me like a scammer. It was humiliating when all I did was book exactly as the website specified.

Pros: Pool facility is excellent although in need of some TLC as showing a bit of wear.

Cons: Pool area in need of repairs, rooms starting to feel quite dated.

Pros: The pool and bars are fantastic! As are the staff .

Cons: The rooms are terribly dated. Bathroom was in terrible shape with wobbly toilet seat, chipped tiles and floors weren’t cleaned well at all. Pipes rattled all through the night when taps got turned on in other rooms . Disappointed our 6 year old with excellent swimming skills was unable to use slide due to height restrictions, maybe it should go on swimming ability and age over height.

Cons: We paid for a standard king room with hinterland view Nd got a view of tennis court, disable room (sorry for disable persons as shower flooded all bathroom.) Nd no view on low level. No bath like all other rooms. Very ordinary am very disappointed after being so excited 5 star!

Pros: Cleaning staff were exceptional, really had taken care of us anything we needed service was fantastic, all restaurants were great and staff very friendly and helpful would definitely come back to stay again.

Cons: Housekeeping did not properly service the apartment fully. Many simple things like mopping floor, spray and wiping glass dinning table inside and in the balcony not included as daily service in 5 nights stay. Many little things one would expect when paying $1500 per night plus would expect.

Cons: Couch in lounge needs updating and floor rug also needs replacing because of stains

Pros: It is a great place and very close to the beach. The most spectaclar unhindered views. Great pools and awesome facilities.

Cons: The cost does not meet the expectations set.

Pros: Great property! Fantastic location right on the beach and close to good restaurants and shops. Very clean, fantastic view from the 30th floor 3 bedroom apartment. We all enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool, spa, steam room and sauna. Good quality room service. Unit was very spacious, modern furnishings, good quality linen, well stocked mini bar, large fridge and freezer. Loved the variety of complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Overall great experience and I would stay again.

Cons: Only complaints would be that housekeeping only came after 5pm on one day and only after we made a 2nd phone call. I also found the queen size bed to have a lot of movement with me waking up every time my husband turned around - beds can be better quality. The lifts are VERY slow and you wait a long time for them.

Cons: The apartment was not cleaned properly before we came for our stay. The Elevators were very slow for the amount/ capacity of people Facility stated it was newly renovated however 2 of our Down lights were broken

Pros: Whilst initially we were given a room that hadn’t been made up (housekeeping made a mistake and confirmed the room had been cleaned when in fact it had) however the lovely girl at reception quickly rectified the situation and also gave us a free upgrade. Our room faced the beach and was an absolute stunning view.

Cons: This is not something that worries us but it should be known that the nightclub music can be heard till all hours in the morning (even on the 24th floor where we were.

Pros: The hotel was close to downtown and the beach. Rooms were a decent size and fairly comfortable. Nice blinds blocked out the sun.

Cons: The room wasn't the cleanest. I was on the 20th floor and music from the nightclub below was still pretty loud.

Pros: Lovely breakfast. Even gallons n chocs in room as was birthday treat.

Pros: Location. We stayed with our two little children (2.5 and 9 months) in a twin room and there was plenty of room and so close to everything we needed. We ordered room service for the kids meals a couple nights and although it wasn’t on the menu they were happy to make up some veggies for bub Which was a huge help

Cons: Bathroom, water absolutely soaked the floor every shower. Could do with a microwave or toaster when traveling with children

Cons: The food took a little longer than expected. However the staff did apologise and was very lovely about it.

Pros: it was located in a very convenient location, even with a car. The main Cavill Avenue was just located right outside the doorstep, shopping, eating and bars were just around the corner. very impressive. Parking was also a breeze and they had a weekly rate of only A$30.

Cons: Two main lifts broke down the arvo we were there, and waiting for the lift during peak hours (morning and evenings) were a bit agonising, especially if one's hungry.

Pros: near from the beach, in the midle of the shoping area
