Amazing! The customer service was top notch. The staff at the Zagreb Sixt were incredibly helpful in getting us out as fast as possible since we had to catch a bus. When we arrived, we learned our pre-paid reservation had been cancelled without notice. The friendly woman at the counter fixed it for us, but upon returning the car, the bill was about €60 more than what had been arranged. We have to wait a few weeks for the original payment to be refunded. Annoying to have to spend the extra time figuring out the additional charges and getting refunded.Reviewed 2 Aug 2022

The girls at pick up were lovely. Only thing is at drop off the guy was new and could not answer any of our questions and even kept asking us what we should do next. Checkin was a disaster - car was dirty, had scratches that weren’t in the previous report. Then they switched us to another car, and the tank wasn’t even full, had to drive with them to the petrol station so they could fill it up. Checkout too was a disaster, they asked for more money than what was in the initial rental agreement because they had decided to upgrade us. The so called « manager » of the branch could not do anything about it (i don’t think we can say he is a manager if he can’t take any decisions to give decent service). We had to pay the increased amount and claim at a later stage via mail to customer service. Sixt doesn’t care about its customers and is providing the worst service i’ve ever seen. Petrol is super expensive, so rental car experience in Europe needs to be analyzed carefully. When everything is taken into consideration if you can fly between cities, I know, major cities, fly, renting a car is super expensive plus you have to deal with thousands of cars during summer travel -I'm in Croatia- where Europeans are headed to the beaches and islands and you have to deal with some drivers who come within centimeters of your rear if you're in the highspeed lane going 100 MPH and in "their" way. We American drivers think we're supposed to drive in the left hand lane and the answer to that is a big NO, NEVER! Other factor in calculating costs are the toll roads, so it comes to a lot of cash to rent a car, but if you have no other choice, then be my guest.Reviewed 21 Jul 2021
