10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything: Rebecca was really helpful. Comfortable rooms with great views in a fantastic location in the countryside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing host and fab room size. The breakfast was 5* and cooked fresh to order with perfect poached eggs. Great value for money too
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is the best one we have ever stayed in. It's set in its own farmland and so quiet if you wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town or city for a few days or longer. The rooms are large with plenty of storage space and spotlessly clean, with ours having a balcony which was a bonus as the weather was beautiful during our stay so we could take full advantage of it. There is also a guests' own sitting room which is nice. The host Rebecca gives you a very warm welcome on your arrival. She is very friendly and will help you with all your requirements and information where possible should you need it. We stayed because we went to a wedding at Hawkestone Hall and there was no curfew as to what time we got back. The breakfast is superb with a selection of cereal, fresh fruit, nuts etc as well as a good choice of cooked breakfasts including a full English which was delicious, with fresh free range eggs from their own chickens. It is a well-oiled machine and we would definitely recommend The Moorhead Bed and Breakfast to anyone. We gave it 11/10!
Cons: We have no complaints about this B&B.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rebecca was very welcoming and helpful. Everything was very clean and comfortable. A great place to stay.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed really comfy, lovely view from the room and excellent service from Rebecca. Thoroughly recommend.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rebecca was the friendliest, most welcoming host you could wish for from a text on the morning of my visit telling me exactly how to access the property, to the end of my stay. The room was beautiful with a terrifically comfortable bed, a balcony overlooking the countryside and a powerful shower in the en suite bathroom. Great breakfast, and the packed lunch she offered for a very small fee, was tremendous! I felt pampered, but unfussed. Spot on the mark!
Cons: I have no negatives, at all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very relaxing, beautiful location, staff were amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff were exemplary! The housekeeping was great. The rooms were immaculate. The grounds were lovely! The attention to detail and sympathetic planting made it beautiful. The seating area outside with cushioned furniture was lovely. Well done! Staff in general were fantastic
Cons: What could have been better was the food. The breakfast was fine, though I expected pastries as part of a continental breakfast... however everything else including the cooked breakfast was great... Dinner was a different experience. After speaking directly to the chef about problems two nights in s row, I’m reluctant to detail the issues, but the fact we had to, may emphasise the degree of dissatisfaction! Sadly would not recommend the evening dining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing venue. Amazing food. Lovely service. Great kids menu
Cons: The bed could have been better. But overall a nice room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly we felt very welcome, and the hotel was lovely and warm
Cons: The breakfast was excellent, apart from one morning when the toast was brought to our table the minute we sat down. We hadn't even had our cereal/fruit so by the time we were ready for the toast it was cold. We were disappointed that the chamber maid wanted to give us clean towels after only 1 day, when the hotel encourages guests to re-use their towels and the message in the bathroom says they would only be replaced if they are in the bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting. Quiet and relaxing. Good food-evening meal was excellent-staff were lovely
Cons: No faults

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome for us and our dog. We upgraded but the room was a bit small and all surfaces seemed to be covered with literature. My only complaint was no gluten free bread for breakfast when they had so much warning including when we arrived. But the staff in the sister restaurant The Loopy Shrew were lovely and welcoming to us including our dog.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well organised and super friendly. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Shrewsbury. Breakfast superb!
Cons: Couldn't find fault anywhere.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, lovely decor, amazing comfy rooms, breakfast choice was excellent, staff very very nice and friendly. Love the honesty bar....a rare sight nowadays unfortunatley.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble, the decor is gorgeous and the honesty bar was a lovely touch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great - right by the city centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean. All around were lots of touches connected to Darwin which made it really attractive. The breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were happy to adapt the menu to accommodate special diets. What a gem this place turned out to be.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have mobility problems and brought my scooter, so we were given room 15 in the garden block. It's at the top of the ramp and I could park it outside at our little seating area beside the door to our room. The room was perfect for me, with a walk in shower, excellent modern bathroom and really comfortable bed. The hotel itself has stunning decor yet is very comfortable and welcoming. The location is great, central but down a quiet lane close to the river and some lovely shops. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, the breakfast was fantastic and we will definitely be back!
Cons: I cannot think of a single thing to criticise as it is one of the best places we have ever stayed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond with their hospitality. The location was fab and the breakfast and conservatory (the whole building itself really) were heavenly. A perfect place for a short romantic getaway. Looking forward to staying again!
5.7 Okay
Pros: Very central setting. Welcoming owners.
Cons: Parking is an issue in the mornings
4.0 Okay
Pros: The bathroom tiles and the wifi
Cons: I found the brekfast staff unpleasant. It seemed as if he didn't want to be there - he keep banging the plates and cups about - in fact another breakfaster commented upon this. He was quite grumpy. Maybe he should look for a new job. The cleaning lady and the young girl were much nicer.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Good location, close to shops, restaurants and attractions but on a quiet(ish) road; easy to come and go when we wanted and a car park nearby.
Cons: Service a bit uninspired; certainly not the friendliest hotel we have stayed in. Decor a bit tired and old fashioned.
5.7 Okay
Pros: I only stayed one night, but my overall impression was of an efficiently run hotel.
Cons: There was nothing I disliked.
7.0 Good
Pros: Queit cozy place but within few minutes of town square. Family-run informality, excellent breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast window of 8-9 on a Sunday was too early, too short. The room cleaners also worked only till 11 on Sunday which was surprising.
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed. Lots of clean white towels. Interesting old building. Handy for river.
Cons: Noisy (near building site and pubs). Instant coffee with breakfast. Lots of stairs to climb with suitcase. Overpowering "air fresheners". No thermostat on radiator. Owner not particularly friendly.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: Friendly greeting on arrival, comfortable room and a great breakfast.Would stay again.
Cons:
5.6 Okay

Pros: Everything you could want was in the room with a lot of thought going into what to include. There was also cake on offer and bottles of water if required which was very nice.
Cons: The cobwebs in the bedroom could have been removed in advance since they weren't new ones, although the spiders were removed straight away when I requested it. Also, there was a coffee sachet on the floor behind the coffee table when we arrived. Bed also wasn't the comfiest and it squeeked but did the job.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are very spacious, lovely decor! Great location.
Cons: I think the breakfast service could be improved, although i appreciate it was very busy it took a long time for us to get served and get our breakfasts’ 3 out of 4 of us had omelettes, one of them were under cooked, in all fairness we did not complain as we knew how long it took to get them so we did not give them chance to rectify it. The dining room was full with some guests being advised there was a wait for seats, in my opinion you should cater for the amount of rooms you have. Good choice of food and drinks though.

Pros: Breakfast cooked to order. Bed was as good as it looks, slept like a log. Lovely old place, staff great communicators, food good, plenty of outdoor seating in the heated beer garden at the back. This was a stopover when journeying by train to West Wales, but we intend to return, stay longer as a base to visit a few places given all the trains. Great service in a lovely old building in a relaxing old town

7.0 Good
Cons: Does not do breakfast, explaining that there are plenty of cafes around, but aside from a coffee shop and a takeaway snack bar, I could find no proper cafe's nearby that are open in the morning. This is a bit of an issue that will deter me from returning.

Pros: Position of the hotel, very central to explore the town.
Cons: Mattress on the bed was very soggy.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff were nice and rooms were a good size
Cons: But their decor was dated and our room was at the front of the hotel which was on a busy main road
5.8 Okay
Pros: We were on the third floor and in our seventies and were told the lift was not working. There was no idea when it would be. Breakfast was basic and,as my partner is vegetarian, she expected the sausage, bacon and black pudding portions that she did not want would result in larger portions of egg, tomato and baked beans but it did not. Room was clean but the furniture was shabby and tattered.
Cons: See above
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay as very central for Shrewsbury. Parking ideal £5 for the entire stay
Cons: Old quaint hotel. Only complaint when we booked in with 2 suitcase the receptionist did really tell us the quickest way to get to our room. When a mystery tour lugging cases up various flights of stairs and down windi g corridors before we found our room. Luckily we are fit and healthy older people would have struggled. Once we had found our room we then found a more direct route with less stairs. Also stayed out all day only to find that at 4pm when we returned to our room that it hadn't been serviced. This was disappointing and results in a lower score on the reveiw
6.7 Good
Pros: The ancient ambience. History.
Cons: Over familiar staff.
1.0 Poor
Cons: I booked this hotel because it had a lift but it seems to have been decomissioned so I had to walk up six flights of stairs and I am 75, also the heating in my bedroom didn't work.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bath in the bathroom, absolutely spotless room. comfortable bed.
Cons: Feel as if breakfast prices are steep.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great history & late check out given.
Cons: This place is old and tired. Staff were lovely yet suggested one might need to fetch their own menu for room service - and room service is an extra 5 pounds(?!). Overly priced breakfast and dinner menu. No parking at all available until a spot came up in the second car park which is offsite. Also, there was a chocolate wrapper waiting to greet me in the room.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Property needed updating
