Pros: Absolutely everything! Just as you would expect from a 5-star hotel, service and attentiveness is topnotch, amenities are great, in-room facilities are user friendly. Room is spacious and great mattress/bedding for a good night's sleep. Also, definitely recommend getting a few drinks at their Charles H. Bar, wonderful setting with great selection of cocktails!

Particularly I wanna show appreciation to the staff who was on duty in the lobby upon my check out date (but I haven’t taken note of his name)! He was so helpful! He knew that we re rushing to take the airport shuttle (which would be arriving in 3 min per the expected schedule) and proactively helped us take our luggages to the shuttle bus station outside the hotel (about 1 min walk from the lobby but it’s just 0 degree Celsius outside). Excellent service!

Cons: There are 4 lifts servicing the hotel but it took very long. There’s several occasions whereby we waited for almost 10 mins for the lift. The distance to Myeondong street is a bit far. It is not as near as what we think. You need to walk about 10 mins to reach.

Pros: Very comfortable hotel!!! The room was really big, the bed was super comfortable (soft pillows though just fyi), and the shower was very hot and good pressure. Housekeeping was super friendly and did a great job too! It was also right next to Hoehyeon station, opposite Namdaemun market, walking distance to Myeongdong and the N Seoul Tower cable car. It's a perfect hotel with so much around it! Definitely staying here next time in Seoul

Cons: The water of the bidet was freezing cold, it evoked a roller-coaster of emotions (the seat being cozy and hot, while the water was causing my sphincter to flex with a force that could have crushed walnuts). I asked the operator on the phone to place a call back request for my insurer, but the operator was unable to help.

Cons: The staff gave me a bit of flak when I needed a special invoice to get reimbursed by my work and the "pool" was laughable. Good place to crash for the night but honestly, there must be a way better place for as much money as this place charges. The location was fantastic though..I loved being so close to all of the great spots in Seoul. But honestly, my advice is do some homework and save some money.

Though, passing through time, but the hotel has kept itself really well. The room was big and comfy for 3 of us. Beds are perfect. We had 1 king bed and 1 single bed room, so it was very comfortable for us to rest :) All good for us! Truly recommend if you have the budget. For us, hotel needs to be comfortable, safe, clean and roomy when traveling, so this is really quite a great value.

Cons: The tap in the bathroom are quite old and could not completely turn off. Need to turn on & off to adjust several times for it to come to 100% off with no dripping water. The draining for sink basin was rather slow with some blogs. But the housekeeping fixed it when came in for cleaning. Thanks. There should be more separated lighting switches in the room, not just the master & reading lights - for example a night light, especially for family with kid or elderly people to be able to see when going to the restroom during the night. For us, we kept the light in bathroom on :) But overall, it was a great stay for us!

Pros: Walking distance to 3 palaces, insadong, myeongdong and namdaemun. Lots of eateries around. Even the stream is so close to the hotel and served by 3 lines 1, 2 and 5 what more can you ask for!
Cons: The circulating doors as I walk with the aid of a walking stick and had 2 heavy luggages when I first arrived and was hesitant whether I should go in or get hit by the circulating door. Luckily the concerige was observant and immediately came out to help me

Cons: VERY dated hotel. In desperate need of renovation. Glory days for this place was likely 40-50yrs ago and it appears nothing has changed during this time. No A/C and no opening windows make for a warm stuffy room, even iduring our late October stay.

Pros: Loisir Hotel is location in the middle of Myeongdong. In fact it is next to the Myeongdong station which has an exit door especially for the hotel. It is located at the beginning of the famous Myeongdong Street. There is at least 5 halal restaurant within 400m of the hotel and it is convenient for a Muslim like me. There are lots of famous shops nearby including Lotte, Shinsegae Duty Free, Line Friends etc. and close to Namdaemun Market. The rooms are excellent. I paid for a room upgrade and the staff gave us a discount. The room was facing Namsan tower. So the view was amazing. The staff speak excellent english and are very helpful.

Cons: The one thing that i don't like but don't hate is breakfast. It is not American breakfast but rather a mixture of korean-american food. There is french fries and scrambled eggs. Then there is rice, bean sprouts, salad, seeweed soup, rice porridge. Unfortunately it is the same menu everyday.
