Everything is awesome
The staff was outstanding, very comfortable rooms in renovated suites. Excellent location
The breakfast buffet is overpriced and not good compared to similar hotels' offerings. But staff very friendly.
Location was great. About 3 to 8 minute walking distance to two subway stations (Anguk and Jongro-3). Although it was located in Insadong (one of the touristy neighborhoods in Seoul), it was quiet at night and very safe. Insadong is not "Gangnam style" touristy neighborhood but more of a cultural/historical neighborhood. A lot of great restaurants (casual to expensive) nearby (literally speaking, you walk out of the hotel and you'll start seeing many restaurants) and it seems like many of them are very popular (was on TV, etc.). We stayed at 2 room suite and it was very spacious (I would say about 1,100 sq. ft) and well maintained. Kitchen was somewhat equipped (e.g. cups, plates, coffee maker, pots and pans). We had washer/dryer in our unit and was able to do laundry couple of times while staying there. This place is not for a luxury or romantic getaway but more for family and friends on budget.
It seemed like they were preparing western style breakfast but not worth spending your money there. For example, instead of breakfast sausage, they served hotdog style sausage. The pastry they served were all store bought (not fresh item). It basically reminded me of continental breakfast from 1 or 2 star hotel in U.S. Everyone who worked there were nice and most of the staff had some knowledge of the area and had recommendation but no professional concierge service. No free internet service (I was surprised by this especially knowing how entire Korea is very well connected with free wi-fi, etc.).
The Orakai Insadong Suites is an ideal option for those who want to enjoy a visit, whether for business or leisure travel, to Seoul, South Korea. Tucked into the heart of the business and embassy districts, this suites-only property is steps from world-class shopping, traditional and fine dining, and a long list of wonderful parks and temples, including Pagoda Park and the Jogyesa Temple. Less than a mile from Jongmyo Shrine, it is also walking distance to the Changgyeonggung Palace, Gwangjang Market, and Myeongdong Station.
Visitors are steps from all of the basic transportation hubs, too, including train and bus stations, and the Incheon International Airport is roughly an hour by car.
The property offers a long list of amenities and facilities, including an indoor heated pool with separate children’s pool area, a steam room and sauna, a fully-furnished and modern fitness center, a well-appointed playroom for kids, a lounge with library and daily breakfast service, business and meeting rooms and services, pet-friendly options, Wi-Fi (for a fee), parking (for a fee), shuttle services, laundry and dry cleaning, and 24-hour front desk.
The suites are luxury serviced apartments, and there are five styles available. Ranging in size from one to four-bedrooms and also from apartment to penthouse formats, they are all elegantly furnished and decorated. All feature a kitchen or kitchenette, work desk, modern entertainment system, laundry machines, toiletries and linens (including robes and slippers), separate dining and lounging areas, and more.
When you want a home away from home, the Orakai Insadong Suites in Seoul is sure to please.
