Confusion cost us extra
Proximity to CDG Airport.
2 different Hotel Mercures being in close proximity of the CDG Airport, cost us confusion with our taxi, and were dropped off at the wrong location first, which meant we had to pay 2 taxi fares after dropping off our rental car at the airport... Even the knowledge that there were 2 in the vicinity would have made us more specific of a the destination by taxi.
Bad Air Conditionning
Good service, great staff, clean room
No AC and no sheets & blanket, just a big comforter so it was too hot under it and too cold on top. I had to open the window to get some fresh air. The restaurant was way too bright and the menu had a very small selection. I almost went down the street to another but my son was tired
Staff and location
Need to work on bathroom cleanliness
Good choice for an Airport Hotel, but the shuttle
We sprung for the suite with a separate sitting room, and that was quite comfortable. The facilities were good, including a small fridge in the bedroom.
They have a shuttle to the airport but NOT TO TERMINAL 1 (which is the terminal for most flights for US flagged carriers). Because we had a lot of luggage we ended up taking a cab to the airport because we didn't want to have to go to Terminal 3 and then transfer to the airport train to Terminal 1. Also, there are 3 Mercures around CDG and it is often not clear which shuttle to take.
Staff helpful. Had scale to weigh valises in lobby.
Not a good food choice. I believe I booked for the other Hotel Mercure at the airport, but was booked into second hotel. Very difficult finding the place.
Luggage scale in the lobby Refrigerator in the room
Couldn't find a place for a work session for 4 people (table, place to plug in the laptops).
Convenient --- if you can find it.
Unclear how to get there from CDG terminal. there are 2 Mercure's at the airport and the same shuttle does not take you to both. Also, where to get the shuttle is difficult to identify - but that is the airport's problem.
Good personal (staff)
Personal (staff). Close to airport. Food.
I have stayed at several of the CdG airport hotels. This one had, by far, the best value for money and the nicest staff.
The free shuttle service, the large comfortable and clean rooms, and the fresh squeeze orange juice machine at breakfast
The morning staff at reception could be a little more friendly, and a smile wouldn't hurt. When we asked about the time schedule for the shuttle bus the man at reception behaved as though we were annoying him.
calm, very helpful staff, airport shuttle for 15 minutes, easy to go to airport.
Don't have slippers, the shower bath overflows.
The transport from hotel to airport and return are good and convinence. Big room and very confort
Very polite staff at front desk. Room very nicely appointed and clean. Convenient shuttle to airport every 15 minutes. Perfect for staying near the airport. A step up in quality for the price.
The size of the room, the amenities like a hair dryer and the quality of the breakfast.
I found the front desk staff to be indifferent about helping with my questions about where to find a petrol station.
Clean hotel, nice rooms, great lobby
Shuttle from CDG was very late. I ended up taking a taxi after waiting for over 50 minutes.
The 24 hour check in. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast menu was excellent. The location of the Hotel in regards to Airport and train station.
they only had a smoking family room- so when I requested, they gave me two adjoining rooms- of a higher standard- much appreciated as we were very comfortable. the internet price was much lower than the rack rate.
the fact that I did get the feeling that as I had got a very good deal off the internet that we were given a room of a lower standard- that would have been fine, but I did request a non smoking room. however when I complained they were exptremely professional and good about it.
I did not like the fact that our breakfast had been added to our bill before we had eaten at the hotel. because of the very high price of our evening meal we did not have our breakfast meal but it had been added to our bill anyway. It was removed at my request.
