We arrived 10 minutes before they close the salat dinner buffet (we just wanted to eat salad) and they had already removed everything without leaving us the possibility of eating anything. For them, we stay at the Bar. We observe, as guests who arrived 20 minutes after us, received food because they had allegedly "booked" The staff that night was very unfriendly
Breakfast was excellent!
Dinner. The menu card was promising but several of the plates turned out to be very salty.
The breakfast was incredible. The restaurant was amazing. The owner was so involved and you could really tell they took pride in their hotel.
The views (when it wasn't raining) Traditional looking 4 star hotel with balconies. Very impressive from the outside.
Lots! Raw chicken and bad attitude to get it changed. Our chicken was raw, so we asked for a replacement! it took 1.5 hours to get one! lots of apologies and finally at 10 o'clock it came. The staff didn't care and denied that they had tried to sort the complaint out! Eventually, the owner ( I presume) came out and offered a sort of apology but would not do anything about it, Talk is cheap! Having paid for a 4 star experience, he didn't care! If booking half board, like we did, you have a separate menu in German (no English menu - thanks to Google) from everyone else and you have to eat between certain times! not like the other people in the restaurant! The Germans got the best views and it seemed to me that they kept the non German nationals in one part of the restaurant and the service was not as good and efficient. The swimming pool is small and dated, not usual standards for Austria. The bedroom was very dated, it was like stepping back 30 years! I know because I used to have a small ski business in Austria! the bathroom was very very dated, old brown tiles, definitely not 4 star standard at all. No balcony. Considering this hotel markets itself on it's style and eco credentials, it is very dated and really only wants to serve the German market, it has no interest in being a modern hotel or giving good service. Car parking was a pain. You are only allowed to park in the car park outside, around 10 spaces in front of the hotel for 15 minutes, you then have to move the car to park in the side street or another car park at the back of the hotel. I did not move my car as it was raining very hard. This is not mentioned by the hotel at all. A real pain. Overall this hotel is way below standard on so many fronts. The rooms are very dated, but the restaurant has been renovated. No way would I stay here again or send anyone to this hotel. Total waste of money and it will leave you with bad memories. Such a shame as the views and location are...
The hotel is located in a very nice area but the rooms are furnished in a old style.
Rooms are a little old fashioned.
