Pros: The Riad Dar Mayssane was the most beautiful one that we stayed at in Morocco. The room was even bigger than we expected it to be, everything was super clean and all the lovely details in the Interieur- wonderful! But even better than all that was Fatima who welcomed us as 9pm, served us tea on the roof and gave us great recommendations for the next day. Breakfast was served on the Terrasse, very good juice and bread and again Fatima was taking care of everything. Absolutely unique experience, wonderful riad, perfect location and great people working there!

Pros: Both rooms we had were quite large. They have only 5 rooms. We stayed most similar sized Riad had 6+ rooms. All breakfast we had in Morocco were high standard, but Dar Mayssane still managed to do it beyond the rest. The location was just perfect, in the edge of medina, so it's only 2 mins walk from parking, while close to other places. Staff super friendly and professional and knowledgeable.

Pros: It is simply a great place to stay in Rabat. The location within the Medina in between two major streets and very close to the Kasbah des Oudayas is a big plus. Our room, La Belle Endormie, was so beautiful, the view from the terrace amazing (we loved our breakfast here) and the hospitality of the staff and especially Halima incredible! In general we liked Rabat a lot! It is a beautiful town with friendly people and very relaxed in comparison to other major Moroccan cities.

Cons: Not that I didn’t like, but I didn’t realize you pay in cash at the property. It was a quick hustle to go to ATM to pull out money at the last second. It was my bad and didn’t read the fine print.

Pros: The riad has a recent renovation keeping a sort of classical decor. The first night, we stayed in a room turned to the entrance of the riad. This is a very busy street and so a bit noisy. Then, on the second night we had a surprise, has the hotel team was super kind and changed us to a better room and very quiet. Good breakfast. Generally very clean. Good WiFi. Very friendly staff.

He Arranged a taxi for to the airport in Casablanca for an affordable price. I asked him to set up a table on the rooftop terras to enjoy a romantic dinner while watching the sunset. He made the arrangements and it really felts like an exclusive dinner for two. L'alcazar costs a little more than the average Riad but you receive a premium service in return. One would almost forget thaat next to the great service, the Riad itself is eloquently decorated and a joy in its own right. I recommend anyone visiting Rabat to stay in L'alcazar

Cons: The room where we stayed in the first night was noisy, but after relocating for a different room indeed we enjoyed a lot more our stay. Also on the room of the first night we found a gillette razor from a previous customer. That was not the best welcoming gift. :(

Cons: The riad combined modern sensibilities with the traditional Moroccan architecture, so it was not as “Moroccan” as it could be. But it did have every modern convenience, including great WiFi, so perhaps that was the point!

The room had a very interesting layout, with the bed on a second floor. Very clean and spacious. The bed is extremely comfortable. After our initial welcome, he took the time to show us how to get to and back from the main square. The alleys are very confusing and it is easy to get lost. This was great. He made our train ticket purchase utterly seamless for us two senior women. We had the most immediate and frequent interchange with him, but I must tell you that each and every staff member is every bit as kind, gracious and helpful. Between the two of us we have travel in 150 countries and know our hotels. This experience at Tour Hassan was, without exaggeration, the best.

The riad is beautiful and on a more quiet street, but very close to one of the main entrances to the Médina so it’s still very easy to get taxis if you need them. Butter was melted, they do not respect the cold chain which is not acceptable and dangerous and we found a worm in the breakfast Staff is rude at reception. We asked several times for cards (to enter the room) to be replaced as they rarely worked. Rooms were not ready when we arrived.

Cons: It would be nice if the resident could individually control the air conditioning system in the room instead of all rooms having a central air conditioning system controlled by the hotel. The individual room thermostat does not function if the hotel system has been turned off.

Cons: The hotel uses a central air conditioning system. This means when the system has been turned off for the entire hotel the thermostat in the room is of no value. Between October 30 and November 2 the air-conditioning system was off in the entire hotel and the temperature in our room was 83°F or 28°C all the time. This made the room hot and uncomfortable during our stay. We stayed in three different rooms and they were all hot and uncomfortable. For a hotel of this caliber with wonderful amenities and the price they charge this was very disappointing.
