Cons: My only negative point to comment on was the noise level as the hotel is located at a major road intersection and the 7-subway line runs over ground right next to the hotel. Some people are used to noise but unfortunately, I’m not but noise is part of New York City.

Cons: Car horns. So many car horns at the nearby intersection - all day and all night. Slow internet - it was 1 Mbps at its fastest and 0.05 Mbps at its slowest.

Pros: Even if it is not in Mahattan, location is just great - so close to the metro station that takes you in 10-15 mins to 5th Avenue! As for "American" breakfast, the offer was really decent (I especially liked bagels!) and the Indian guy from the crew was doing his best to make the breakfast area as clean and as well equipped as possible. All in all - good value for money (as for NYC!)

Cons: Let's face the truth - the hotel is old and really needs some renovation. Especially carpets in rooms and walls. I was afraid of bed bugs and something indeed has bitten me and my partner... so just be careful. Cards to our room were not working couple of times during our stay do it was quite annoying to go to the reception desk every time (sometimes 3 times in a row as we have been told it should work now... it didn't)

Breakfast - no wonder it is included in price as I would not pay $1 for it. Cleanliness - stuffy room with poor lighting and amenities not working. Avoid at any cost.

Cons: Hotel was dirty, broken elevators for entire stay and I was located on the top floor, so I'd to walk up and down 120 stairs each day with a bad ankle. This included carrying my luggage too. It snowed and walk way and parking lot was not plowed for days.

Cons: Not the best experience.The whole hotel smells like weed, the rooms were not cleaned properly, the bed sheets had cigarette burns and the location was no good. The parking lot was not properly plowed when I drove in and it made it difficult to park.

Cons: Our room #104 had bedbugs, and we were bitten during the night. (We saw one on the doorframe in the evening, then in the morning saw some on the wall near the headboard, and found fresh bloodspots on our sheets. We were careful to keep all of our luggage away from the beds and floor, and laundered everything on return home.) We understand it is a problem in New York City, and not related to the cleanliness of the hotel, but we also know how difficult it is to clear an infestation.

Cons: Although there was a mention of a 24 hour shuttle to the metro, this is no longer accurate. The service is now cab-based and only from 8am to 10pm. Each room can only make use of this service once a day thus there is always the need to walk the 1mile to/fro the metro. Breakfast was a bit plain and only for 3 hrs (6am-9am). My friend could not stand the lack of hot food such as noodles.

Cons: Hotel was a bit run down and old-fashioned though totally adequate and comfortable. It was much further from NY city than I expected which entailed a long walk each end of the day, though the hotel shuttle was useful when we took it - though not available late at night.
