Cons: - Check in time very strictly, Had email 2-3 times for check-in and we arrived early 1 hour. - I am Thai residence but a staff never inform that I could use a cash 8,000 thb for a deposit instead of use a credit card From HSBC: Your Credit Card has been used for THB 8000.00 on 13/12/2019 at HUA-HIN MARRIOTT RESORT. A staff had forced me took a deposit amount 8,000 THB from our credit card authorization had been cancellation at departure date 17/12/2019. Which is mean I have not enough for my credit card to spending during a Christmas Day. Have to wait for a bank process to refund back 3 weeks working day. - First night we were at room 3214 and too much noise from bang a door since 8 pm.-2 am. In the morning from a korea family who has 2-3 children and make a loud noise. After complaint we had shift to a room 6409 and very far to walk from a car park in case use a car by daily. -Being a club Marriot member spent for 10,000 thb / year and was not useful at all in this trip. - I hope will be a last visit. Thank you

Great spa experience - the woman who runs that thing should probably be running Thailand.

Cons: There were some out of control kids at the pool who literally screamed every time they rode the water slide for an hour straight, which made my pool time unpleasant. Some better attending and decorum would do wonders, so everyone can enjoy the area. Wait and huge crowds for breakfast (which was not included in my reservation). The stay was a bit pricey considering how down market Pattaya is. Can get better in Bangkok for half the price I paid.

Cons: Probably one of the better located hotels on Pattaya Beach but Pattaya Beach as a holiday destination is not so great in itself unless you are looking for bars, Indian restaurants and massage and tattoo shops.

There were shuttles to the city centre (Central Festival Shopping Mall) a few times a day that keeps you free from the hassle of finding a cab. Pros: In April 2019 I stayed 9 nights at the InterContinental Pattaya Resort. The staff is the friendliest I have ever had the pleasure to meet. You are greeted with a smile and a Thai sàwàddie khà by each and everyone and on every occasion. There are 4 swimming pools varying in size and depth and all are fantastic. There is a private beach with sunbeds and parasols. Breakfast is a feast in the true sense of the word with a rich choice of daily fresh prepared food. I particularly loved the Belgium waffles and pancakes... ohhh yummie, yummie. Each day in the afternoon the chambermaid would drop by and ask if you need extra water, tea or coffee. So sweet.

Cons: - There was no airport shuttle, only first-class limousine service which is over expensive. - The restaurants inside the hotel are overpriced (they add service fee and tax to the prices you see in the menu), delicious food though. - It has a rough sea, not for everybody.

Cons: The resort is located outside the Pattaya city center and therefor peaceful and quiet. This also means that you have to arrange for transport to get to the city center. Fortunately, the resort has a Bus Shuttle Service that brings you to the center and back again. Do not forget to reserve your seat in the bus in the morning. The Shuttle Service operates all day with intervals of 1 to 2,5 hours so no problem there. As far as I could tell the Shuttle Service is free for guests of the resort. The prices in the restaurants are too high. I have seen prices for dinner in the Infinity bar of THB 920 and more per person. One night I had dinner in the Elements restaurant and had to pay THB 2400 for a meal for 2 persons consisting of 2 soda drinks and 2 peaces of fish with 2 slices of bread. That is probably the reason why so few people were seen dining there.

Cons: The hotel is located above a group of bars which play loud music from 5 pm until 2 am. The rooms do not have double or triple glazing so there is constant noise. It is the only hotel I have stayed at in the world that provides ear plugs by your bed. Despite being upgraded I did not stay the night. No attempt to move to a quieter room.

Pros: Were given a welcome drink and wet towel for refreshing ourselves on the check-in Desk Pool & city side view from room. Spacious room, ample space to spread out bags, decent beds. Wifi router inside room... so no problem with signals or strength... and the speed is consistent while surfing...but there is one small nuisance, after your phone/laptop wakes from sleep, you have to re-enter your provided user/pass otherwise internet doesn't work. Breakfast was one of the best in verity we've had in recent years. Was well spread out with continental ham/cheese/salad/salamis etc. Plus some Indian options everyday (though not very tasty). Had hot buffet with Thai noodles and chicken. Live egg station... and the lady chef was always very nice and welcoming. Short walk to anywhere, had Taxis stationed outside and was excellent ride to anywhere, even on foot to Walking street is a breeze. TIP : get onto songkhew taxis from proper side to avoid bloated rates. We hired Fortuner which was stationed outside. The lady driver "Kayiti" +66625935554 took us to Frost Park, Noong Nooch, Kaan show and a few other places, then dropped us back to Bangkok for very reasonable rates. She was always adjusting and would wait patiently if we took a stop to see places/market on the go. Leaving her number here for other readers to check. Central Mall, Mike's Mall and other market area is all 5-10 mins Walk. Definitely my goto hotel whenever I'm in Pattaya again.

Cons: Restaurant is a bit pricey for the area, the jacuzzi was dirty and weak, and I didn't care of the "minty" bathroom amenities.

Cons: Very run down and in need of refurbishment. Very overpriced. Rooms were also dirty. Pool was to cold to enjoy and also closed at 7pm ruining chance of night swim in a hot climate. Rooms were tiny. The breakfast buffet mainly caters to Indians. Tour desk had outrageous prices. I was also overcharged for my bill. Overall very disappointed and has left me hesitant of using booking .com in the future. All of this should have been in the description and i would not have ever booked here. Definately not the star rating it should be.

Cons: Lack of power sockets, none across the bed or sitting area so could not put Laptop/mobile to charging besides me. Hair Dryer was provided inside a pouch in the closet, I could not spot it until I asked, I guess it would be better to leave it open in the closet so it is easily sighted. The Walk to the entrance is about 100 meters... can be a bit hard after you are already tired exploring vicinity malls, so it would be very helpful if they have a golf cart to drop people to cover the length :) One particular complatint I have is that upon checkout, I was charged 290 Bhat just for consuming "mineral water" provided inside the fridge. It was marked with costs but it was quite natural to not notice being charged for plain "water" after a 6 hours flight + 2 additional hours BKK to Pattaya. There is a 7-eleven just outside, please buy 2 ltr bottles for less than 20 BHT each. SO DON'T CONSUME water provided in the fridge.

Cons: I have stayed at this hotel annually for the last 5 years. This time when I checked out I was curtly advised I owed them a Baht 200 cleaning fee for wiping some spilled coffee with a hand towel. I was shocked and taken aback and told them I was an old customer but they insisted on charging this. I find this quite ridiculous and told them I would never return unless I got a refund and apology.

Cons: The staff in the reception never smile at you and don't care that you are waiting for them to serve you even there is no one in front of you. Requested a non smoking room, but the room was smelly and I asked them to do something about it which they did but the smell came back again in a few hours.

Cons: The room had a really bad smell. I think the room was slightly overpriced for what it was. The shuttle bus to the main area was great, without that there isn’t much directly around. Be wary hotel is not directly on the beach as I thought.

Cons: Quite noisy from the car if you sit at the balcony of a beach front room because hotel in next to the road. From hotel’s photo, it looks like the hotel is next to the beach but it’s not. There’s a road and townhouse in front of the hotel which you have to walk through one of it (which is hotel ‘a spa) to get to the beach.

Cons: Housekeeping was poor, cleaning of the rooms was not good at all. We had a family room they always missed the kids room. Sheets not changed and beds not made up nicely. Bathroom products not replaced, never enough toilet roll left bathroom not cleaned well. Asked for iron which took 3 calls & a day to arrive. Room had a smell of damp which we had to keep asking for them to burn indents can’t understand why we had to ask when it’s clearly an ongoing problem. Staff not particularly friendly. Hotel manager looked at us a few times but didn’t make effort to talk to us.

Internet so poor that could not carry out simple money transaction on my computer.

Cons: The room was very small with zero comfort amenities like water, refrigerator. Bed had a shabby pillow fit only for a child. Since I had already prepaid for two days, I couldn't wait for the two days to run out and then scram....I guess you get what you pay for cos it is cheap and good value for the money.
I'll give them one thing though, it is squeaky clean.

Cons: The room is small and has nothing more than the bare essentials. So no balcony, no refrigerator, no drinking water bottles or anything like that. Basically a bed, bathroom, AC, window and TV, that's it.

Cons: Had an issue with hotel Due to a guest I had come back . She damaged the room and excepted liability but I had to pay for everything. The staff was not helpful in resolving the matter. The rooms a are rundown and its not quite 5 star . Personally I would not stay here again. The customer is always right in most places of the world but not here .

Cons: 1- the water of the swimming pool was cold so i didn’t get my chance to swim . 2- the house keeping in the hotel is very very bad .( i put the garbage box out side me room from 11 pm until 9 pm next day no one collects it ). 3- the reception gay is lier ( he toked my room number and he said that he will call somebody to take the garbage box and no one came so im sure that he didn’t call ) 4- house keeping only until 5 pm ( i wake up everyday at 10 pm and sleep 8 ) so 5 days my room didn’t been fixed . As a solo female traveler I have been a lot of places alone and this is one of the few places I felt extremely uncomfortable. The clientele in this hotel were creepy, stared constantly, were rude at reception (not waiting in line) and were very loud in the room next door. I felt so uncomfortable that I had a reception staff member walk me to my hotel at night. It is really a shame because it would be a nice hotel otherwise.
