Pros: Although it is not that near to Cube house/Markethal, but it is a good experience to walk through the old port and across the bridge to enjoy the scenery on the road. The worker here is friendly and would like to offer help, and the room is cozy and provide free capsule coffee.

Pros: We return to Pincoffs as we really like the hotel, staff, and general vibe of the place. It is comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Strongly recommended.

Pros: Really amazing hotel, not like any other I have been to. Even had smoked salmon for breakfast! The staff were very friendly. Finally, the Indian restaurant next door was superb.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location was perfect, the concept if the accommodations unusual but interesting and nice for two nights
Cons: The confort of the room did not meet my expectations
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean nice bed and great water pressure
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, interesting building. Modern facilities and comfortable rooms. Lovely rain shower. You can cast stuff from your Apple products to the TV screen. Lots of tall windows so you have a great view during breakfast and there are lots of options to just lounge around.
Cons: Red carpet and mood lighting in the corridors are slightly creepy. Breakfast is quite plain, very Dutch. The otherwise very comfortable beds seem to be made for tall people. The quirky modern interior is cool and luxurious (Vitra furniture) but this is a hotel, not a showroom. It is interesting how with these self check in booths you end up needing assistance, in any hotel that uses them.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and efficient use of space.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, great shared space and awesome staff
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice Hotel, very good breakfast, great location.
Cons: Difficult to reach someone, if something goes wrong (I didn't receive my invoice). I am not communicating via whatsapp and twitter for business. Email was not answered, phone connection took 20min until someone picked up. Then I received my invoice in a few seconds.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and neat Funny sayings Lovely fresh smell Quirkiness Comfy, large bed
Cons: Ipad controls didn't always work properly Having to use key to activate the lift everytime High bar prices
Overview Reviews
Many of Mainport’s sleek rooms offer facilities usually reserved for hotel spas, such as oversized hot tubs or private Finnish saunas. Regardless of which room guests choose, the informal eighth-floor Spa Heaven will be waiting, complete with its sultry Turkish steam room and rejuvenating hammam complex. Wide glass windows wrap around the waterfront building, allowing guests to see and feel the vibrancy of the inner harbor. Designer Feran Thomassen created the five-star interiors that make subtle nods to far-flung places, without forgetting that Rotterdam is the hotel’s ‘main’ port. In the quayside Down Under restaurant, for example, chefs offer a culinary world tour with a menu that includes everything from Argentinian steaks to Japanese sashimi. Add butler service, 600 square meters of flexible meeting space and a gold sustainability certification from Green Key, and you have a hotel worthy of its location in Europe’s largest port.
7.9 Good
Pros: The room was good and with nice facilities
Cons: The breakfast was not varied properly also no labels on the food
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice Buildings and spa with a view. We booked a jacuzzi room, and the view from 10th floor is great on the surrondig buildings
Cons: - Price of parking : When I pay almost 300€ for a room they ask me to add 35€ for a parking, I don't feel welcomed. When they say "if you don't want to pay for that, you have the public parking over there" just waving their hand, I don't feel welcomed - reception team : room was not ready (it can happen), they offered a free drink but after 20 min, the bar was still not paying attention to us. Once again feeling like only a number, only here to pay as much as possible - self cleaning of the jacuzzi in the room : at midnight, the jacuzzi start cleaning itself, very noisily, during 10 min
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the Mainport Design Hotel in Rotterdam is a thoughtful, and comfortable design experience. From it's location overlooking the historic harbor and adjacent to the Erasmus Bridge to position next to the Tram transit stop...is a well connected position in Rotterdam. My room was very comfortable and a high-design style. Service was excellent throughout, not stuffy or pretentious, but well mannered and accessible. Some 5-star hotels trying too hard to be exceptional, making the visitor feel like it's a privilege just being a guest. But I felt that the hotel and staff really are proud of their facility and are eager to share the good vibe with their clients.
Cons: Only getting to stay two nights.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quality hotel, excellent beds and great bathroom with a large tub and private sauna. A treat :)
9.2 Excellent

Cons: No parking on premises but still fairly close by.

Pros: The restaurant was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tradition, Interior, Location
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful historical building close to the sea front. Very interesting history and room design.
Cons: There are a lot of renovations going on that left the entrance and passage ways to our rooms very untidy and unattractive. We were not aware of this at the time we reserved the room. I do trust that when the renovations are completed that the hotel will proved the ambiance that it creates on the booking platforms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Charming interior design. One of the best views from the room, so appreciatied it.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic historical place with lots of thoughtful and interesting pieces. Lively restaurant with good food and great atmosphere. Good meeting rooms. Perfect location right at the pier.

Cons: Choice of meals for dinner and quality of the meals.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel to have maximum amount of flexibility. Near enough for taxi/Uber to come around rather quickly + it is perfectly connected to the Rotterdam Water Taxis. I always try to stay in this hotel as it offers everything I need
7.5 Good
Pros: Employees were very friendly and polite.
Cons: The hotel has it's unique charm. However if you go for a standard room, it is not the best hotel. The room I was in, has no view at all. What's the point to go for a holiday and stay in a fancy cage? The breakfast is great for American standards. Also it's noisy due to the hotel is like a touristic attraction.

Pros: Location was excellent. Room layout was well thought out. Breakfast was good. Conceirge was generally very good and helpful but for one incident.
Cons: Conceirge service was generally good but marred by one incident. The conceirge informed us there was no need to make a dinner reservation at a popular restaurant but when we braved the rain to go there, they were fully booked.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is right across of Central Station. Nice restaurant (1-star) on site.
Cons: The rooms are Spartan. Large but that's it. No coffee maker, let alone a Nespresso. Hot water cooker and Instant coffee (!) and tea.... 3-star hotel in my book.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location next to railway station. A big and modern business class hotel with everything you expect. Clean and nice rooms.

6.7 Good
Pros: It was close to the cruise terminal.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Amenities, Nespresso machine were good!
Cons: TV was very strange. And function of 'Smart TV'(?) didn't work. They didn't give a full detail of method for 'Smart TV' operation. Even remote control didn't work well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: Communication with me was unclear.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place
Cons: You can listen the noise of the metro early in the morning. But I'm quite sensitive to sounds.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great located near Cruise Terminal, perfect for exploring the city by walking. Tram and underground station within 100 metres. Erasmus bridge just around the corner. Some rooms probably have a direct view to the haven, we asked for a high level room and got one on the 23rd floor. With blocked view but could see the bridge nonetheless. The shower is just glasscabin, so you probably want to know your roommate very well in advance ;) There is a garage in the Hotel Bruno across the nh which was 20 € for 24 hours.
Cons: Staff was friendly and helpful if you asked for anything, but not overly enthusiastic. Breakfast was not included, there was barely any service or view included (maybe except for the location) to justify the price for the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room , but this time round a slanted view /opposite is office
Cons: Toilet too small at the basin area
9.6 Excellent
Cons: No atm or supermarket in walking distance

Pros: Staff, room comfort and location. Couldn't have hoped for better. Once I'd got my bearings it was so easy to get around on foot. Lovely big bathroom and bath robe. Plenty of pillows and big cushions. The reception staff were super helpful and housekeeping very obliging too. Plenty of choice at breakfast - there was even a sign in Reception so you could see when the breakfast room us busiest and quiet. Never seen that before at a hotel - great idea.
Cons: All fantastic, would stay again, without question. From the moment of arrival until departure a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The position is perfect, close to all major Rotterdam attractions. Bedrooms are nice and clean. The staff was very helpful. Fresh orange juice for breakfast is a plus.
Cons: Noisy position (due to night life in the night and to the tram during the day). Breakfast was average and breakfast room always crowded. Common areas need a restyling (they are quite outdated).

Cons: The bed was not firm enough, causing some back pain.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This was the third time I've stayed at this hotel. It's a short tram ride (routes 4 and 7) from Centraal train station, its walkable in around 10mins if you don't want to pay the €4 single fare to go 3 stops. The hotel is close to several restaurants and bars, but the neighbourhood is relatively quiet.
Cons: Nothing.

8.5 Excellent (7,698 reviews)
Overview Reviews
At ibis you will quickly feel at home. Ibis Rotterdam City Centre opened in August 2014 and is a brand-new, trendy and modern hotel on the waterfront at the Wijnhaven harbour. Despite its central location, the hotel is in a quiet area and has excellent public transport connections (Blaak station) and a public indoor car park. The Beurs-WTC, cruise terminal and the Erasmus University are a short distance from the hotel. The market hall is just a couple of minutes walking from the hotel.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lobby, entry, decorations, hygiene,
Cons: Bed and pillows
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location from Blaak Station and into city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drinks prices in the bar reasonable.
Cons: Beds comfortable but pillows very soft and only 2 on the bed with 1 spare but it didn't make that much difference. Breakfast not worth 15 euros, you can get cheaper elsewhere.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful, location was perfect, room was clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Whenever ill go back to Rotterdam, i will stay again at Ibis.
Cons: The room was a bit small which was not a problem, but not enough closets to unpack the suitacases as we stayed 10 days.
7.5 Good
Pros: All the point of interest just round the corner. Walking distance
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It was pretty cool was that while many hotels in Europe have thin walls or you can hear everyone in the hallway, but at this hotel we never heard a peep anywhere else. Slept great! Good location, friendly staff, clean.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great kitchen chief; breakfast was nice - which it had to be for euro 17.50, so was dinner.
Cons: Was not really aware of the location of the interior rooms, i.e. rooms without a window, which made it the most expensive room without daylight I ever booked.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fun to stay on the ship. The breakfast was amazing!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The ship
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The opening sentence "Welcome on board" It was the real thing despite the fact the boat wasn't going anywhere. The interior is amazing, staff friendly and the food & beverages are good. Especially the local beers.
Cons: A pity we could not open the portholes of the hotel room. It was pretty warm and the air system could not get it cool enough. We were informed that they are modifying the portholes so they can be opened again.
6.7 Good
Pros: We went on a nice boat trip around the harbor. Room was nice and clean and staff were OK.
Cons: Very expensive food, if you don't go into the town you have no choice but to eat on ship but so expensive. Very disappointed that I had to pay extra to view the ship and it wasn't included in the price of the room, this needs to be clear as you would assume you would be able to view the ship.
7.7 Good
Pros: The main deck was nice to grab a drink from downstairs bar and take it to the deck
Cons: They should accommodate late check out, one staff told i can and when I asked for late check out the other staff from the front desk said that they can’t it was frustrating
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What a facility, making use of a maritime icon to continue to show it off in the style of its era. All staff were extremely helpful and attired to suit the venue. Rooms are as would have been during service, small, comfortable and well equipped.
Cons: Probably the location is a bit of a negative, but there is a transfer service to the metro and an on call water taxi is also available
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Its a good location and property to stay when in Rotterdam. Staff are friendly, the boat is immaculately clean and food excellent. This is our second visit and the only comment I would make is we preferred the superior rooms as they are much larger than the standard room but this time we were booking on price not room size!
Cons: Less plastic - no need for plastic drink stirrers in the restaurant and get rid of the individual plastic toiletries in the rooms, use wall fixed ones that can be refilled, its wasteful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: Arriving at night is a little unclear where to park and it would be great is you have valet parking. Aircon was struggling to get the room cool. Mirrors in bathroom fog up when showering. Self guided cruise tour at night would be great.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Boat is beautiful on the inside. Water taxi is fun and affordable.
Cons: The cleaning of our accomadations was awful. First day we were there was towel hung up that was completely covered in brown spots and smelled like something very familliar. Okay mistakes happen so i put the obviously very dirty towel on the floor so that room service will take it. To my utter horror the next day when i was taking a shower and grabbed what i thought was a clean towel to dry myself off i grabbed the same old towel from the day before, because i didnt have my glasses on in the shower i didnt see the clearly dirty towel until i smelled it while rubbing on my face. Room service hung up the same filthy towel again. The room we had was way too hot, they said the room was "climate controlled" which means there isnt any air conditioning. There obviously used to be air conditioning because there was a mount where it used to be. Which brings us to problem 3. Where the air conditioning used to be left a big gap where water from outside the boat leaked in. And it leaked on our bed. Im still waiting a month later for an explanation to these horrible accomadations, ive yet to get an answer or an apology.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: It would have been good to have clearer details on how to access SS Rotterdam by public transport from the train station - i.e. either metro and bus 77 or tram (forgotten number) and then water bus. We used the former on the way to the hotel, the latter on the way back - the latter is nicer but we didn't know about it till we got to the boat.

Pros: Room was big and clean. Staff was friendly. Location is very good.
Cons: Nothing
6.5 Good
Pros: Silence at Saturday night with the window open (garden view).
Cons: The price is way too high for the room i lived in (not in the tower) - it is small. The chlorine smell from the kitchen in the hall on the way to the room was awful. This is unrelated to the tower. The deposit is €50 (they promise to return in 5 days). I dont remember when was the last time i was asked for a deposit in hotel.

Pros: Good location, very good breakfast, spacious room, nice and helpful staff, they had answers to all my questions.
Cons: Thin walls, you can hear your neighbours which might be a problem if you are a light sleeper.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, particularly those on reception. Location quiet and ideal for access to museums and public transport in a city where public transport is exemplary.
Cons: Budget room selected was small but adequate. Barely room for the one chair. Breakfasts did not change so some monotony on a week's stay.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good Hotel
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good staff and overall experience - fully recommned
Cons: the breakfast was a bit chaotic when full restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was awesome
6.5 Good
Pros: It is comfortable enough and reasonably well positioned but it really is just a bit bland and characterless. A hotel probably better set up to appeal to the business community ( to which to be fair I belong) rather than the independent traveller. I like Hilton's but the Hilton up in the Hague is so much better than this one.
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good - as well very nice room service - warm dishes were brought in the warm closet Personnel was professional Very silent air-co was a plus as windows could not open fast elevator
Cons: Difficult parking situation as hotel does not have their own parking - also it is pretty pricey for 30 euro per day. The bed was extra hard and not even on bed springs but on plank of wood which was making sounds when rolling over Extremely slow tv and very limited choice of dutch or english channels. You can feel the bass and hear the sounds of night club even with windows closed. I forgot my credit card at home and expected that it was not an issue as I paid in advance but the receptionist made it seem like it was a disaster and it was a lot of hassle for her to get the deposit of 50 euro (until not sure what was it for as the explanation was not provided) we paid in cash.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great city centre location and very comfortable. Staff were great too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, customer service, Wi-Fi, breakfast.
Cons: Small room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, very helpful. The location was great, only walking distance to everywhere. The front disk staff offered help with train tickets reservation and taxi pickup, they even negotiated the taxi fare for me. Lovely stay overall
Cons: The short stay! Should have stayed longer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything no complaints
Cons: N/a
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is renovated and up to the latest standards of comfort and luxury. It is quiet and soundproofed. Food is excellent.
Cons: The only thing to criticize is Internet speed but they do offer a fast paid version if you need that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, staff, and the size of the room
Cons: I found a long hair in the beans at the breakfast

4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Services and breakfast
7.9 Good
Cons: Offering mainly Unilever products, such as solely Lipton teas, Douwe Egbert coffee or Dove products does not match my idea of locality or diversity, but rather shows cooperations between powerful companies. Even if the breakfast is included, I would rather pay some extra for this but have a more local, vegetarian (vegan) selection instead.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Free breakfast
6.7 Good
Pros: staff and their smiles
Cons: Rudeness Index
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent budget hotel in a good location. My room was very clean and there was a good variety of food at breakfast.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Room wasnt ready having been travelling from early morning. We arrived after 1pm and asked on the off chance that the room would be ready. We were told another 30 to 45 minutes. We then called back after 2pm. Room still wasnt ready. We were told 3pm. At 3 the room still wasnt ready. It was 3.40pm before we got into our room with a tired child. We were due to meet family at 3.20pm but had to cancel the taxi. The reception area was like a cattle market with queues and the staff work at too slow a pace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place!
7.9 Good
Pros: Location a 10 minute flat walk to central railway station. Plenty of restaurants within a 5 minutes walk. Rooms reasonable size. Decent breakfast choices (as in continental type).
Cons: The price seems high for what it is.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and good location
Cons: Then breakfast is terrible , nothing to eat , no hot dishes
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good quality. Location: just next railroad station. Wellness? Don't know. Stayed from 10 PM to 5 AM.
Cons: Air conditioning. You can't stop ventilation. It blowed all night above the bed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Sometimes the big chains can feel a bit impersonal. This was different. Nice friendly staff at check in. Breakfast was fine. Room was modern, spacious and clean.
Cons: Only one elevator was working. Long queues.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is really good. Foot walking distance to the center and good food places around.
Cons: It was very loud at night. We had the 4 bedroom and no one slept the whole night. You hear every move from outside and the neighbors room.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was new and clean. The Internet was very strong. The location was very convenient. I appreciated that daily housekeeping, coffee cost extra, and that there was MINIMAL furniture/accessories. It kept the price affordable.
Cons: I felt like I was going to roll off of the bed all the time. It was a twin bed.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good shower
Cons: No maids to change towels etc Weird sounds in the room Too warm, no windows to open
7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly personnel. The hotel offers no breakfast, but they can sell you an affordable breakfast ticket for a hipster coffeeshop (friendly people, semi-classy cake and coffee) up the road.
Cons: Once checked out, there is no bathroom (toilet) for customers. The small one-person room offered no table besides the tiny bedside table, no easy chair or upright chair, no wardrobe, uncomfortable lighting. Big bed, clean bathroom, that's about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in city centre, extremely nice receptionists, small but very clean rooms. Highly recommend.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location! Couldn't be better
Cons: Maybe more towels
7.0 Good
Pros: Low-priced Clean Comfortable bed Friendly staff
Cons: I am travelling for work and would like to be able to work in my hotel room before going to sleep. Unfortunately, there is no desk to place your laptop and paper work on. Furthermore, the room is quite small and the bed is placed in the middle. You need to climb over the bed if you want to get to the other side of the room, for instance for opening or closing the curtains. No big deal, but it is a bit inconvenient.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Easiness of getting in and out. The location is right next to the main shopping street and 10mins by foot from central station.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good value for money. Ideal for lone travelers or generally if you need a room just for sleeping a bit, taking a shower and then go.
Cons: Room too small with only a small space for moving around. Bathroom semi-transparent and small, without many places where I could put my things.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed and duvet were great, the location is also ideal
Cons: Found a bug on my towel and another in the shower. Looked like there were coffee stains on the wall near the bed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: central area
Cons: no draws and enough hangers.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: I liked the location, the hotel is in the center. The bed was very confort for sleeping and it's really quiet. The room is ok for the money otherwise it is too small.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: We have booked a double bedroom we got one on the 4th Floor, we had to carry our luggage up because the lift was out of order and no one to help plus the room we got smell so bad bathtub looks very dirty .no telephone in the room we had to call the reception from my mobile phone, we ask them to give us a better room we got one on the 1st floor with twin beds and old television
10.0 Excellent
Cons: All, very good
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing really I’ll be honest
Cons: There were no suitable facilities the hotel room was at an awful standard our reservation got cancelled by the hotel so we had to rebook and pay a higher price from their fault we were told the hotel would give us the price difference refund which they didn’t they refused to as they claimed it wasn’t there problem. Also with the price we paid there were 4 flights of stairs we had to walk up and down from everyday due to their elevator facility being broke it was a problem for myself as I suffer with my back and wasn’t easy to do everyday I just wasn’t impressed at all with my stay
5.4 Okay
Pros: Appreciate that it is 100 year old facility-- but certainly not "Grand"
Cons: Elevator was broken, wifi was down, TV didn't work
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is great, walking distance to shops, restaurant's and things to do.
Cons: Double bed was quite small for two people
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and polite staff. Excellent location
Cons: Mattress needs to be changed
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: We recently stayed for two nights at this hotel. Fyi, they still haven’t repaired the lift. During the first night, we awoke itching to find bedbugs on the sheet and pillow. In the morning, we asked to be moved to a bug-free room (yes, I now know that this was a naive hope) and were moved, though I am not sure the new room was any less heavily infested. Before leaving the hotel, we inspected one another and counted about 150 bites on each of us. We complained to the hotel and received the offer of a token refund, but worse, were given the impression that the hotel seems to accept that there will be bed bugs. We were told that the hotel has a basic eradication programme in place but that bedbugs were a global problem and that no matter what they did, guests would bring them in. I would advise anyone thinking of staying at this hotel at any future time to either think again or to bring your own bedbug protection coverings and look forward to the possibility of days of itching and more days of decontaminating yourself, your possessions and possibly later your home.
7.9 Good
Pros: Close to the train station.
Cons: There was a dead insect on the bed. The facilities need serious upgrading.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Stayed for 4 nights with my elderly mother. Lift was broken and won't be mended for 3 months. Wifi did not work at all for 2 days (changing provider) and worked only in the lobby for the other 2 days. Room at front of hotel on 2nd floor (difficult for my 83 year old mother to climb 4 flights of stairs) with the bar opposite staying open until 3am. Very very noisy. After 2 days moved to another room at the back, overlooking the air conditioning unit, with no noise from outside but the boys in the next room had a party until 6am!! The last night of our stay some boys in the room above us started to have a party at 11pm, but when I reported it to the staff they soon sorted them out. Also....badly bitten in the room...about 60+ bites, bed bugs? No mosquitoes around. Oh and the TV in the second room didn't work.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The staff The dirty place
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Very good location, in the central area.
Cons: The rooms are very poorly soundproofed and the furniture strange-ugly.
