Hotel is at the middle of the city a couple of minutes away from Trocadero. I loved the decoration of the room, it is big for a Paris hotel and very comfortable. It is apity that the hotel is only open at summer, until september.
Staff excelent could not do enough to help us, hotel was very french and original and extreemly clean, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
No it was everything it said it would be and more
Real French charm, extremely close to Champs Elysse and Eiffel Tower-both within easy walk. The staff were so friendly and helpful, it was a most pleasant stay.
Staff was friendly.
We had a really good sized room and it was a lovely experience over all. Nice if there was a lift though.
The large room
Great location, relatively quiet, large room
Breakfast was overpriced
The bed was a little bit hard
Booking and reconfirmation was easy. However, there are plenty of hotels with a better quality/price relation in the vicinity which do not appear on Active Hotels. Hotel: Nice turn of the 19/20 century style setting... Friendly receptionist Room: Nice touch with an old fireplace, even if certainly never in use. Matress was firm.
Insufficient investment in terms of standard amenities: Bathroom functional, but ancient wooden toilet seat, apparently several times repainted. No lift, but only three floors from what I could see Poor lighting in the room, despite a torchiere, ascerbated by the fact that walls where in night blue... No ligthing for the most basic camping style assembly of a table and two stools. I had to draft a presentation over a couple of hours and the only way to have light was to turn the torchiere floor lamp around to throw some light on the table. Bed: While sheets were fresh and clean, the headpiece of the bed had apparently not been dusted in this century. Worst: Old single pane windows, no insulation against traffic noise, in particular the garbage collection trucks in the morning... Poor sound insulation to staircase, rooms next and above. No discount through internet booking.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the size of the room, the cleanliness and the central location.
I think it is a very basic hotel (without elevator) and therefore too expensive.
