Cons: The pool was somewhat disappointing, but in a building like that, surrounded by such large buildings, there's not much to be done. Also there was a cab driver associated with the hotel that charged a group of four $40 to go to Casco Viejo from the hotel. Total rip off! I believe his name was Franz.

Cons: Some of the staff was very eager to assist and others seemed bothered when asked a question. Which was totally undermined the good customer service provided by their peers. Also I could not pay for room service with a credit card nor cash, they wanted me to provide a 50.00 deposit to use room service and the difference would be returned at check out. I felt this was unacceptable for hotel of that quality.

Cons: It does not include a lounge for dancing. My husband and I wanted to dance a bit but not really go to a club. It would have been nice if the hotel had a lounge were we could sit and dance a bit.

Cons: When I arrived the hostess told me that my reservation was cancelled by the hotel because I modified my booking and they foud two reservations, one cancelled and one for one night: they deliberately cancelled the good reservation !
Then they reopened my reservation, after I was complaining, and they assign me a smelly room. There were a strong foul smell in the room, I guess from the toilet.
I complain again and they changed the room to a normal one.
I really don't like to arrive to an hotel late in the evening after a long trip and have this kind of problems !

Room was a good size with a king bed, desk and sofa and came with breakfast, which was okay. They have 2 for 1 happy hour from 5-8pm and the bartender made a great mojito. Location is in an area of town with a very local flavor. I never felt unsafe but be prepared to pass some *ahem* "professionals" and "toy shops." Otherwise, the area has a lot of places to eat and grab a drink.

I had a situation that wasn't really a big deal to me but I let the staff know about it during check in. At the time of check out, a fellow from the concierge desk approached me and apologized for the situation and offered a courtesy ride to the airport as a gesture of appreciation for my business. This wasn't necessary but he insisted. I have to thank him for this because he made my day.

It is a short walk to subway and bus stops, restaurants, a grocery store, and some shops. Breakfast was simple, typical of hotel breakfasts. There are eggs, pancakes or french toast, fruit, yogurt, sandwich fixings, cereal, horchata, and smoked meats. I was pleased with the breakfast offerings each day. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again in the future.

Cons: I have stayed at this hotel close to 10 times now. The first visit was the best but since then, I have not been as impressed. Every single time I have checked in, I have been given a different room than I reserved online. My rooms have had varying degrees of dirty. From hairs on my bed and in the bathroom, to wrappers and dirt on the floors. The rooms and hallways just are not cleaned very well at all. On my last stay, the shampoos had been used and not replaced, and I was only given one large towel which had 3 big holes in it.
The food at the morning breakfast is not very good either; cold bland eggs, cold meat that does not look very appetizing, and the bread and pastry selections are pretty dry and boring.

Cons: The key card system takes a bit getting used to as is required to use elevator for all floors. one elevator would not accept 3 different keys despite having used it 10 minutes earlier, but maintenance arrived and got everyone on another elevator in under two minutes. I was impressed with response to issue- which can happen anywhere.

The floor smelled like dirty feet and the air conditioner did not work. We moved to another floor that was "cooler" but the A/C still did not work to American standards.
