Pros: Very clean room. Kudos to Wendy and Gustavo, they were excellent. I wanted to acknowledge a server also, but I do not remember her name. She is short, worked in the mornings at breakfast time serving the coffee. She has very black hair, and a great smile always, kudos to her.

Cons: When I arrived the hostess told me that my reservation was cancelled by the hotel because I modified my booking and they foud two reservations, one cancelled and one for one night: they deliberately cancelled the good reservation ! Then they reopened my reservation, after I was complaining, and they assign me a smelly room. There were a strong foul smell in the room, I guess from the toilet. I complain again and they changed the room to a normal one. I really don't like to arrive to an hotel late in the evening after a long trip and have this kind of problems !

Pros: Compared to the last time I stayed there, they really stepped up on the cleanliness. much better Also at the dinner party we attended I had a horrible headache and needed a coffee badly. the server Liam and Juan were very helpful and kind to get me the coffee and check back on me to see if I was better.

Also I could not pay for room service with a credit card nor cash, they wanted me to provide a 50.00 deposit to use room service and the difference would be returned at check out. I felt this was unacceptable for hotel of that quality.

Pros: The hotel is very clean and luxurious. It's definitely a place to stop at while in Panama City, I swear you wont regret it! To be honest, the price is totally worth it as the view is more than beautiful, the amenities and the personnel is absolutely awesome. Everybody is so kind and the pool is...unforgetable. Pro tip for Panama if you drive there: don't forget your passeport or you could have issues with the police.

Pros: The hotel felt very grande when entering. Everything is marble and large which made the experience feel more high class. The staff was very nice the whole time. WORKOUT FACILITY: I was extremely impressed with the workout facility. A massive space with all new looking equipment. It was a pleasant surprise as I like to get a workout in every day on trips. BREAKFAST: I received 1 free breakfast pass for each day I stayed here. My wife had not received a pass so the staff was kind enough to move my second day pass to having two on the first day. We were checking out early so didn't need day 2 anyway. The restaurant view was *amazing* from the patio. Overlooking the whole waterway, it was one of the best view photos I took the whole trip. The food was better than most, nothing to complain about, but nothing mind blowing. And you shouldn't expect mind blowing with a free meal anyway. TAXI SERVICE: We booked a taxi with the staff downstairs to take a tour of the Panama Canal. It was $30 one way which is a little more expensive than a normal taxi, but it was worth the price. The driver even offered to wait up to 1.5 hours for us to finish the tour and drive us back for another $30. We elected not to do this and just find a cheaper taxi on the way back. We had plenty of space in their van, plus the driver was extremely kind and helped provide some info on Panama since we were new here. They also provided 2 bottles of water which is great in Panama. We also booked a taxi for one of our nights out. We were able to negotiate with the driver to bring it down to $20 for a trip to Old Town. I would HIGHLY recommend negotiating the taxi price no matter where you go or who it's with. It just felt like any taxi driver would say $30 regardless of where we were going. So negotiate! OVERALL PRICE: The price was about double of other Hilton brand hotels in the area but you could definitely tell the difference. I would say it was worth the price. However, if you're looking for a bargain, just stay at another Hilton brand hotel.
Cons: ROOM UPGRADE: I am a Hilton Gold member so I received an upgrade to a Junior Suite, however the room they provided was no where near a waterfront view and more tucked away near other buildings. Because of this we had to keep our windows closed the whole time because neighboring buildings could easily see into our room. Typically when you're upgraded the immediate choice is a waterfront view. The individual at the front desk didn't appear to know how to handle upgrades which is why I think we ended up where we did. I was slightly disappointed with that. Besides the view, the room was very nice. Much larger and more modern than any room I've stayed in before, which I liked. MINI BAR: The mini bar had a great selection but far too expensive to justify any item. An airplane bottle sized shot was $7-$8. It would have been nice if there was at least some complimentary snacks or bottled water especially being a Hilton Gold member. This is actually the first time we didn't receive anything complimentary while checking in. I got the feeling it was because the person at the front desk didn't know how to handle it.

Pros: At first my husband and I were skeptical about the hotel since it had been very inexpensive... however from the moment we walked in the staff was very nice and helpful the room very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We are very glad we chose Doubletree for our short stay in Panama.
Cons: I loved the hotel and everything IN it. I was not a big fan of the surrounding area, especially since we kept getting lost around that side of town and couldn't find a single well-known restaurant to eat around the hotel.

Cons: I have stayed at this hotel close to 10 times now. The first visit was the best but since then, I have not been as impressed. Every single time I have checked in, I have been given a different room than I reserved online. My rooms have had varying degrees of dirty. From hairs on my bed and in the bathroom, to wrappers and dirt on the floors. The rooms and hallways just are not cleaned very well at all. On my last stay, the shampoos had been used and not replaced, and I was only given one large towel which had 3 big holes in it. The food at the morning breakfast is not very good either; cold bland eggs, cold meat that does not look very appetizing, and the bread and pastry selections are pretty dry and boring.

Pros: I enjoyed my stay at the Riande Granada hotel. Service standards were very good. Nice friendly staff, food was excellent as well. There is a Gym with basic equipment which served the purpose, a nice swimming pool and jacuzzi. I would stay in this hotel again.

Cons: Unfortunately when I booked my reservation, my confirmation email did not state that the hotel would request additional money of no less than $200 to place a hold on my credit card. The lady was friendly enough and placed only$100.00 on hold however when I returned back to the hotel, an additional $100.00 was authorized by the hotel without my permission. And unfortunately, when you call the U.S. number/toll free number their only suggestion is to incur international calling fees and call the hotel directly. Also I did not like how the hotel advertises a FREE SHUTTLE to and from the hotel, only to find out that the shuttle is for their corporate guests only. That information was very misleading and was a big factor in why we booked with this hotel. The shuttle cost is $32.00 roundrip per person. Also they ask you for your room number or make you write it on your receipts in just about everywhere you go...I.E. the bar for drinks, one of the hotels restaurants, the night club, and for breakfast in the morning. I suggest you get a statement of your charges during your stay. We were charged tip for drinks to our room and we tip our servers cash!!! Also, the bathroom in our room had a terrible sewage smell!! JUST BEWARE!! I WOULDN'T STAY HERE AGAIN!! It was too misleading for me! They don't tell you all this stuff when you're booking the room.

Pros: Wow wow wow. From the moment the valet took our car we were greeted by the friendliest bellman Jonny who helped us get an early check in so our 1 year old daughter could nap. They upgraded is to a deluxe suite, gave us vouchers for drinks and even brought a guitar to our room. Unreal service. The food was amazing and the pools and views were spectacular. DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE COMPLAINING. The hotel is 5 stars all the way.
