9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host is a great and helpful person! He welcomed us happily. Great breakfast and cofffee! The room is together with a garage. We liked the sounds of monkeys and plants around the place . Quite close to the archeological site.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was cold water in the jacuzzi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Don’t hesitate! Go to this place. It is really quiet and peacefull. It is in te jungle and the hotel is small. There is a tub (with bubbels) outside (so no need for swimming pool:)). The rooms are really luxury, hottube inside and a big bed. And the staff is wonderful, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. Carlos is really generous, friendly and warm man. O and the breakast is delicious:)
Cons: Nada
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I wanted to stay outside of Palenque in the jungle and that was exactly what I got. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, good coffee and sweet bread. The owner was a lovely man. He went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. He even wanted to send me off with a packed breakfast when I had to leave on an early flight. It was beautiful, tranquil and overall a lovely stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The owner is such a nice person, he tries to welcome every guest and he is a person that is willing to help you. He was so nice than the day we arrived and we were starving, he gave us a ride to Palenque Downtown to the area where the restaurants are located. Breakfast is simple but delicious and fulfilling. The hotel is not big and it is in the middle of nowhere but it has a nice garden and each room has a parking spot.
Cons: You have to take a bus, taxi or getting a car to get to the property. Its not terrible but you really need a transportation to make it either to the town or to the ruins (it is not expensive around 5 usd). The place does not have lunch or dinner, so this is more a place to relax after exploring the ruins or the town and thats all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Carlos is an amazing host. So helpful and really made our stay so enjoyable. The hotel is modern spacious and very well appointed. It is well located in a beautiful setting close to the ruins. A fantastically fresh breakfast is served every morning in a wonderful tropical garden setting. A wonderful place to stay. Thank you Carlos and your staff for making us feel so welcome.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A really large comfortable bed in a huge room, excellent shower. Carlos was so helpful and charming and even drove us to the bus station the next day. Very close to Palenque site so really easy in the morning to jump in a taxi. A lovely jungle setting for breakfast. Would highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Carlos is a wonderful host, he made us feel like in cocoon with very kind attentions. The location is away from central city in the middle of the nature on the road of Palenque ruins. The room is large, bed super confortable & all very clean. Breakfast was amazing with tasty fruits, local coffee & pan dulce.
Cons: Nothing, all our stay was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful time there, Carlos is a great host. Room was very clean, plenty of room, tv with lots of channels if needed, WIFI worked perfectly! Access to your room directly through your private garage. Location perfect for us, we slept good, quiet neighbourhood. Short drive to the ruins but also only a short drive to Palenque where you will find everything you need. Great breakfast on a beautiful terrace, whirlpool also available. Thank you Carlos! (By the way Carlos speaks english quite perfectly)

Pros: The hotel staff was amazing, very courteous and inviting. The owner was very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and helpful with travel tips! Vicinity to Palenque ruins was awesome, and the decor, room, and food were amazing! I would recommend and definitely stay here again if we come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful pool area and pond with some interesting wildlife. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help you. The bed was very comfortable. Very roomy rooms and beautiful porch with seating area. The owner was very interesting and informative. Food is very good.
Cons: Light switches in room were complicated but eventually figured What went with which light. The salads were not very interesting. Next to a cow past year which was interesting but a little strange. It didn’t smell or anything and there were some cowboys there at one point which was fun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful.
Cons: Nothing. It was all wonderful
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything - especially the Manager
Cons: Nothing -- all was first rate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful hotel in the middle of the jungle! You can tell the owner took time to make this a resort where both people and animals come to relax (a family of howler monkeys lives in the backyard of this hotel!!!). It really gave us the jungle experience we were looking for (didn't take a jungle tour at the archeological site anymore because the hotel is located in the middle of the jungle and wildlife can be seen around the hotel). The staff could speak proper English (something you don't see everywhere in Mexico) and they gave us bananas whenever we wanted to feed the howler monkeys. The room was amazing, very spacious and luxurious. Would love to have that shower at home! Also very clean. Especially for the owner: wir haben die Deutsche gründlichkeit wirklich bemerkt bei euch. Vielen dank für diese wundervolle Erfahrung! Sie können stolz sein auf was Sie hier gemacht haben!
Cons: Palenque itself isn't that interesting (the city centre I mean). So if you want to see the archeological site and the jungle, see howler monkeys closeby and other animals like macaw parrots flying over and relax at a beautiful pool, then you should really stay in this hotel. Nothing bad to say about the hotel. Trust me: it's worth every penny!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you get a chance to come to Palenque, sta y here. Unique, and makes you feel relaxed, pampered and as if you are the only guest. Food is wonderful and their staff is very special.
Cons: Nothing. It was all amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous. Great service.

Pros: Great place to stay and very close to the ruins

10.0 Excellent
Pros: posizion close to ADO bus station, in a nice and safe area with restaurant and taxi, kind staff and the opportunity to book all the Tours directly at the desk
Cons: breakfast pretty basic and not so good, especially given the high price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location in the jungle but not isolated, sorrounded by nice hotels cafe and restaurants all in the same jungle style!! They organized a tour for us to the ancient maya ruins and to the Roberto barrios waterfall which we enjoyed (a part from the bus that was very old and decadent). Room was clean and dry (an exception in the region).
Cons: Buffet breakfast not great.
6.7 Good
Pros: Well located. In the middle of “La Cañada” where the most of the hotels for tourist are. 10 minutes walking from city center. 8 KM from the ancient ruins of Palenque. You can take a taxi, it will cost 100$ Mexican pesos. It is a good place for one night if you are coming to Palenque to visit the archeological area.
Cons: There were too many people at the swimming pool, staff at reception was not always kindly and they did not know a lot of things about questions that I was asking.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location has a great location pretty close to the Palenque archeological zone and near good restaurants
Cons: Pool is really small and ac can’t be controlled or turned off programmatically
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was perfect. Palenque city is a bit messy but here close to the hotel everythings more tidy and with lots of trees along the street. Nice restaurants were also close to the hotel. The room was spatious, with clean beds and bathrooms.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit old fashioned.
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view, the pool, the organic garden and the general structure of the hotel. Breakfast is also nice with organic options. The massage I received at this hotel was truly amazing.
Cons: Breakfast should be included in the price
7.5 Good
Pros: The outlook Macaws in the garden :)
Cons: Lack of information about the area - unfortunately I only speak English. Should have a clearly stated environment policy and limit plastic use
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful! They went above and beyond what was necessary to make our stay comfortable and happy. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
7.1 Good
Pros: - Staff was lovely! - Great view and environment - We could do an early check-in which was much appreciated as we were arriving early with an overnight bus
Cons: - Breakfast is expensive and not that great. - As the official receptionist was not there during the days we stayed, for some reasons they could not apply our booking.com rate and we had to pay a bit more than what we book for.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location within a very short driving distance of the Palenque ruins. Beautiful property with pool overlooking the forest – beautiful to wake up to the sounds of Scarlet Macaws and howler monkeys! The room was deluxe, spacious, sparkling clean, and AC worked like a dream (very welcome in the strong heat and humidity). Staff were friendly and helpful, and I especially enjoyed conversations with the outgoing chef. Breakfast (in the realm of $5) was really tasty – I definitely recommend the ice-cold juice, strong coffee, and delicious tamales and chilaquiles. And, as a bonus, filtered water is available free on-site for guests. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Casa Lakyum. Just a friendly reminder: the Palenque-area seems to have a higher density of scorpions than other areas in the lowland jungle of Chiapas. Always remember to check inside clothes and shoes before putting them on, especially first thing in the morning!
Cons: Wifi is only available in the reception area (doesn't quite reach rooms).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing inside the jungle. You can hear the voice of hawler monkeys, watch the beautiful birds and ants. It is very close to Palenque ruins, 5 minute ride with collectivos.
Cons: If you don’t know Spanish, it will be really difficult to communicate. Staff is doing their best but I think, there should be more than one person who knows at least basic English.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view on the jungle from the breakfast terrasse or the swimming pool. A 60’s legacy charming hotel which is perfectly located for visiting the ruins and enjoying the nature. The jungle sounds ambiance at sunrise and sunset are peaceful. Good breakfast and very kind personnel.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was big with 2 beds so it was perfect for us. The view on the jungle is quite impressive. The hotel was almost empty so we were not bothered with any noise! Near Palenque ruins
Cons: No mosquito nets. We had a terrace but it was dirty. The pool was not really cleaned. It almost felt like an abandoned hotel ... I think it could be an amazing place / or it used to be but efforts need to be made.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed the pool and location. If you want something very close to the Palenque Ruins, this is an ideal spot. It is far away from restaurants so keep that in mind, they do have delivery.
Cons: Windows are hard to close.
6.3 Good
Pros: - The view - Clean rooms - Good AC
Cons: - the team, very unfriendly although we tried to speak spanish a lot, and not helpful at all - They tried to scam us for 400 pesos - no hot water - you can order almost nothing from the restaurant, they had no juices or anything else left

Cons: No fridge in the room WiFi was very slow Breakfast was very cheap
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pool was clean and big, staff was attentive and restaurant amazing; especially the breakfast buffet.
Cons: Internet signal was very weak, almost non existent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool is great next to the jungle (you can see monkeys). The view from the restaurant over the balneario is really nice. 10minutes by car from the archeological site.
Cons: The beds are not very comfortable. The small patio of our room was not very clean and with no chairs therefore quite unusable. No mosquito net.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I highly recommend staying here, so relaxing and beautiful surroundings, lovely hearing the sounds of the birds and monkeys in the mornings and evenings. Great breakfast buffet, friendly staff, restaurant and small convenience shop on site, clean rooms, hot shower, and only short distance in taxi to centre. Definitely stay here rather than in the centre - it's worth the money!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Access to the beautiful pool in the Rio Chacamax. Great restaurant where they accept credit cards. Lots of wildlife on the property.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very comfortable beds. Big room. Very close to palenque town and acheological place. Easy to find it. Free parking. Good breakfast, big variety. Helpful stuff.
Cons: No wifi in the rooms, only in the reception. Towels in very bad condition. Dirty room, a lot of hair in the floor. Noise from the other guests, because walls very thin.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The service was execellent. The waiters very nice and helpful. The river side was pretty nice.
Cons: rooom was too tiny and the building was getting old. We would have prefered to stay in the new one. The smell was bad and the furniture from centuries. The beds were not comfortable.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to nature
Cons: It did not allow guests and I was charged about 20 dollars more than the price advertised in Booking.
4.2 Okay
Cons: Our room (standard double plus) looked nothing like the ones on the photos. It was shabby and it could use some refreshing and thorough cleaning. There was no hair drier and the air conditioning was so loud we could barely sleep. The hotel restaurant was mediocre, we had to wait forever for food or to pay and at the end they tried to take us for a ride by adding stuff we didn’t order to our check. This place is not worth its price.
7.5 Good
Pros: River and location near of the Palenque Archeological Zone
Kin Balam Cabanas - Palenque - Building
7
8.7 Excellent (1,674 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. For a surcharge, guests may use a shuttle from the hotel to the airport (available 24 hours) and a bus station shuttle.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Professional and friendly staff, nice garden, jungle setting, the food in the in situ restaurant, our big and comfortable room with private terrace, the sound of the monkey's, swimming pool...
Cons: Party noice of the nearby Italian restaurant, especially in the weekend, but fortunately not too late.
6.5 Good
Pros: The place is beautiful, and the staff were really sweet and helpful. It's just outside the entrance to the Zona Arqueológica.
Cons: The mosquito nets around the dormitory cabins were a joke. There were large parts that weren't covered, so they were basically useless... The staff suggested sleeping with mosquito repellent on. The beds came with a thick blanket but no sheet... and it's HOT there! Didn't make sense. Plus there's no kitchen or any fridge to store food because they have a restaurant there. For the amount you pay for a dorm bed it's disappointing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The pool area was great to relax at. Great location right at the entrance to the national park.
Cons: The pool was warm which wasn’t the most refreshing on a hot day! The restaurant was quite expensive. We had to pay for water too.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and is within walking distance (40 minutes, of which the last 20 uphill) of the archeological site. If you prefer not to arrive all too sweatily, you can catch a collectivo for 10 pesos (they will try to charge you more of course). The pool and common bathroom were clean. Hot water was available. Some staff members (in training) were friendly, others were not.
Cons: The hotel charges guests for pretty much everything. Although tap water is not potable, having you bottle refilled with distilled water will cost you. If you give 5 pesos, you get 1 liter. If they accidentally fill up a 1,5 liter bottle and you don't have 3 extra pesos on you, they will chug the half liter down the drain! Some items were not on the menu (e.g. guacamole), but could be obtained. Depending on the waiter, they would charge variable amounts. Breakfast was expensive and poor in quality and quantity. If you want to stay at the pool after check-out, you also have to pay up (in contrast tot every other hotel that we have stayed at during our 3-week trip in Mexico). We stayed in a private room. This room was small and ill lit. Most importantly: the tour office next to the hotel reception is NOT to be recommended at all! Although the lady working there was very friendly, the tour we booked (a 5-hour guided tour in Montañas Azul jungle) actually consisted of a 3-hour barely guided walk, 6 hours on a bus and more than 3 hours of waiting on said bus. Avoid!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great garden in the jungle with a nice little pool, although the exterior showers were much more refreshing!! Cabanas have huge fan. We could hear howlers monkeys on the evenings and mornings (4am jungle alarm clock). We also saw sereque nearby (Google it!). Super easy to go to the city or ruinas with the colectivos passing every 5 mins.
Cons: If you come out of the city to be in El Panchan, the one issue would be the food. Offer is very limited. The staff at the restaurant Reina Roja is super nice still but the food is below average. It's also true for other place around!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent right at the entrance to the national parc and in the jungle. You might hear the howlermonkeys at night (very loud!!). Compared to places in El Panchan it was pretty clean and well organized. Nice vibe and friendly mix of families and backpackers. Recommend eating in Don Muchos but the restaurant of the place is ok too.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit smelly and the place could have been cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved loved loved our stay here! Beautiful place, wonderful people, always happy to help. Special thanks to Jessica for being so helpful and always smiling! Highly recommend this place.
6.7 Good
Pros: There is a great bar&restaurant on the site. Pool and all site is well maintained. Additionally the pool is very nice. There is a bottled water for guests. Air condition is working well.
Cons: We have a lot of very small ants in our Cabana bathroom, but these was not a problem. We have an invasion of big ants which suprises us when we came back from the pool. Service came quickly when we told about the ants and kill them with a spray - I don't know if it is good to sleep with the spray vapour. We have also a small lizard in a cabana but she wasn't a problem. We choose the more expensive cabana with closed roof to avoid such a situations and we were scared a little that the ants can came back in the night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, set in the jungle. Very friendly staff. Good for access to ruins, howler monkeys visited us at night...very atmospheric. Restaurant on site. Also, a good restaurant across the road (Don Mucho). Swimming pool and overall, a very nice setting, only 10 mins taxi/collectivo ride from Palenque town & same to ruins. Locker facilities available, but need your own padlock or you can buy one from reception.
Cons: Didn't find any faults during our short stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location in the jungle close to the ruins. I arrived the night before, enjoyed the ruins all day and left at night. I loved sleeping in the cabans listening to the sound of nature. Great swimming pool to cool down.
Cons: The inside restaurant is quite expensive especially for breakfast
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: The restaurant is very open- the one across the road is cosier especially in cool damp weather.
Hotel La Aldea del Halach Huinic - Palenque - Bedroom
8
8.7 Excellent (1,309 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Palenque, Hotel La Aldea del Halach Huinic is in a rural location, within a 5-minute drive of Aluxes Eco Park and Museo de Sitio Palenque. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s a good small hotel set in the jungle. Rooms are scattered around the grounds in cabins so no neighbour noise. Staff are friendly and they have a great pool which is the focal point of afternoons when everyone has finished exploring. Spa on site for a massage which is a definite luxury in somewhere so remote. Good location, ten mins from bus station and ruins.
Cons: The restaurant is ok, not terrible but not great. But it’s decently priced so they are not over charging. Can’t complain about anything else. It’s worth a stay if you want to visit palenque ruins, only ten mins in a cab.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful located in the jungle near the archaeological site of Palenque, nice swimming pool, big room with a nice view.
Cons: Food in the restaurant was not that great and the restaurant facility was very basic.
7.5 Good
Pros: the swimming pool was really nice with deck chairs around, tables around the pool for drinks and lunch, the location close to archeological and natural sites
Cons: the size of our room (for 5 people) was not large enough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and pool
Cons: The food in the restaurant was ok, but a bit plain.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting in the jungle. Very spacious room, very comfortable, nice balcony overlooking the pool (junior suite). Friendly staff.
Cons: Unfortunately the wifi/internet connection did not work my second day. Only a connection at the reception
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great and very relaxing place. Extremely friendly staff. Lovely room. Very quiet.
Cons: The restaurant (for breakfast) is not great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The forestall location away from the town and halfway the temple ruïns.
Cons: The houses were built close together and detailing was crudely done so the view from the otherwise nice terrace was not what it could be.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Neat setting, lovely pool, some of the best food of our trip, loved the AC in the room and hammock on the front deck. Could hear the Holler Monkeys from the Hotel.
Cons: Staff was meh.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cabanas were spacious and clean. Beds a bit hard, but ok. Hammock in front of the cabana was nice to chill in and the area with trees and flowers was beautiful. Pool was big with nice chairs.
Cons: Pool could do with some maintenance. Restaurant was fine for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner you can better go into town, it was not that great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The swimmingpool is the big plus in this hotel. And the tropical garden. Really nice.
Cons: The rooms (small houses) were a bit spartanic, the lights are far too bright in the rooms. Not very romantic. The rooms are 3 star, but the rest of the hotel is 4 star. They covered all of the roofs of the rooms with black plastic, maybe because of some leakage? It took the smart look away form the houses. It was a silly sight in such a lovely garden. I hope this was temporarily.
5.4 Okay
Pros: We had booked this hotel for the atmosphere and because it was in the jungle and had a large swimming pool, we thought it would be great to combine this hotel with a relaxing, peaceful stay with a visit to Palenque. The room (5 persons) is clean and good beds, a terrace at the front with a chair and hammock. A table with a number of chairs would be recommended. The animals in the garden are also a nice addition. Tip bring insect repellent.
Cons: We arrived 1 hour before the official check-in (3 p.m.) but we were asked to come back an hour later because the room was not ready yet. We are actually used to being invited to use the facilities until your room ready so did not feel very welcome. The first night was terrible there was a large group of tourists who drank and sang so much liquor from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am and screamed that we couldn't sleep because of the noise and ruined the whole atmosphere of our stay / jungle. The hotel said nothing about it and just stood and watched by the pool. Because it was such a large group, we thought it better not to look for an excallation (because we were with two young children). When we said something to the reception next day they offered an excuse and a note would be made for the rest, no compensation or a coffee for the inconvenience. We were so tired that Palenque was not really a success. Very unfortunate since we have driven 10 hours for this. The night after we held our heart whether another coach with tourists would arrive but now it was quiet .. Unfortunately our impression was already signed. Concerning customer friendliness (for all customers), improvement can certainly be achieved here. The coffee is terrible.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The price is super good for what the hotel has to offer. The entrance is very fancy, the staff is always kind and ready to help. Everyday was the room cleaned and everything works perfectly. Wifi included!
Cons: The beds could be a little bit more conmfortable, still we got to rest well
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a great option to stay in Palenque. Food is very good, pool is handy due to the hot weather, and staff are very friendly. It is well located, very close to the ruins, and is 10 minutes by car away from the town center.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and setting is outstanding.
Cons: Poor quality mattresses. Tired pool chairs and towels.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had a pool which is a great plus for the warm weather in that area and prices of food and drink are greta for a 5 star hotel
Cons: When checking in the receptionist trued to give us a 2 queen bed room even though i payed for a king size bedroom, after discusing they corrected that.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Avoid the restaurant of the location.
7.9 Good
Pros: Its a nice resort hotel that caters well for groups, there was a good buffet breakfast available that had plenty of choice.
Cons: As an older couple we found this place noisy. We asked to move our room as some very loud children were playing outside our room. The Hotel were helpful, but even in the new room we could hear noise from the swimming pool. When we left the hotel I was very ill with food poisoning and can only imagine it was due to something I ate at the restaurant here, as I didn't eat anywhere else.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the ruins with wonderful grounds, a lovely swimming pool, and surrounded by jungle and beautiful birds. The setting is fantastic and a great place to relax after the Palenque ruins. Big restaurant with fair range for evening meal. We didn’t have breakfast.
Cons: Room was a bit damp smelling because of humidity but outside made up for that.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff is extremely unfriendly. They cannot speak a word of English. Check in with a huge queue when we asked for late checkout they impulse us to pay one more night. We asked the rules for extra payment and the staff says “It’s the law here and you are in Mexico.” We had travelled around Mexico for 10 days, never had such an unfriendly experience. The credit card machine wasn’t working neither, they asked us take cash from the center. Room was far up in the hill from reception no car service to drop the luggage.
7.5 Good
Pros: Large rooms,airconditioned,beautiful pool.
Cons: Rooms up hill, hard to go up and down the hill, the golf cart not always available when you need them, Staff does not speak English at all

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location 250m from the bus station in the less frenetic Canada district, along with a few other hotels, cafes and restaurants. Large clean rooms.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: I booked a room in the hotel on the basis of the good review it received and because of the location and the cultural experience I was hoping to receive. being a world travel and have already experienced different localities /hotels/ hostels/ resorts/ boutique hotels in Mexico. I must say that this hotel was the worst experience I had. I left my shoes to dry out on the terrace one day and the moment I realized that I lost it. I emailed and called the hotel and they said that they will look for it. once I retired to Chiapas after couple of days. they told me that they didn't find it. after making sure that I m serious about this shoe - not for its price but out of the principle that I dislike being robbed in a place that is full of cameras and in a place that is suppose to be respectful. they said that they will check the camera monitor during that day . after I returned in couple of days - they said they couldn't tell. - Maybe it was a ghost. that doesnt matter - what matters is that I will be returning to Chiapas in couple of days and will be filling a police claim in the hope that this hotel learns its lesson faster in the future. Best, Gheen Hamed
Cons: robbery.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was quite big, with two comfortable beds. Good wifi and also good AC, but we couldn't turn it on during the night because it flew the cold air directly on us. Bathroom a little bit outdated, but with good water pressure
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent customer service. Hotel let me check in at 6am and have my room ready as requested. Location is excellent. I paid for the room on arrival but then needed the money to pay for a day excursion so the hotel let me have the money back till I changed currency and paid later in the night. Ever so kind and caring staff. Loved it!
Cons: Would like a fridge in the room to keep drinks chilled.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location on la Canada, comfortable room with air con and WiFi, very clean, nice staff, saw godlier monkeys right out side the hotel in the trees!!
Cons: The laundry service is a little expensive & 250 pesos for what I usually have paid between 30 - 50 pesos for!
9.6 Excellent

Cons: No Wifi in the room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful garden with a clean, modern cabanas with all the amenities. Great place!
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, cheap restaurant on site, quiet cabins in the forest, clean and pleasant.
Cons: It was perfect for me as I don't like a noisy place and I was traveling alone but for a couple, the cabin would have been too small (they have bigger ones). The picture of the pool does not depict reality: it is very small and neglected and no one went swimming into it. Also, the restaurant area with the palapa could be noisy and small if there were many people. The whole place was slightly run down, except for the garden. They have captive exotic birds.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: People is super kind and rooms amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sleeping with the howling monkeys peacocks and parrots
Cons: Maybe a little better lighting in the bungalow and upgraded pool area but still super nice
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was good.A short drive to everything we wanted to see and do. Enjoyed the small troop of howler monkeys. Breakfast was good. Better breakfasts just a short drive into town. The pool looked nice but we did not use.

Pros: I have stayed there many times, and like before the room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were lovely and the staff helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: AC worked well. Internet was good close to router. Bed was comfy. Location was dog friendly which is what we needed for a few days out of the heat.
Cons: Water could have stayed warmer for longer. Better bug protection in the room. Expand the internet connection to inside the rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was Clean, allowed pets, the sound of been in the jungle when you step out of your cabin, and the big plus was having AC

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location for accessing bus station, nice pool area, and close to touristy restaurants and travel agencies.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The room was comfortable but the service was dreadful. Staff at reception was not welcoming, nor very professional. To give you an idea, our breakfast voucher was given to us when we checked out. The level of English of the reception staff was very poor and that created problems of communication. In the restaurant, staff was also not very professional as they seem to be anxious to get rid of guests at breakfast time. As soon as you had finished one dish they rushed to remove the plates or cups from the table. It would have been nice to enjoy my breakfast with some peace and quiet,
Cons: See above

Pros: Location is perfect. Breakfast and other food we ordered in the hotel was great. The pool is great, very refreshing after the Palenque archeological site visit.
Cons: During our stay the hotel was occupied by the large group of teenaged tourists, so the pool was fully busy with them
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great option to stay before visiting Palenque archeological zone. Nice pool in the garden made our afternoon. Very kind and helpful personnel (including help with my flat tyre :-)) Good quality of WiFi and breakfast.
Cons: Nothing important
7.9 Good
Pros: Location is good, swimming pool was great. NIce to have a fridge in the room. The onsite parking is great.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet and clean, really good location. The rooms were equipped with a coffee kit, and good number of towels. It’s great they have an environmental friendly policy - i chose to adhere to it as i don’t need to have my bed linen and towels washed everyday. The restaurant served affordable and great food, and the swimming pool was perfect to relax after spending the morning exploring the ruins.
Cons: It would have been great if breakfast was included in the price. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very central, clean, comfortable, nice staff and private parking.. couldn’t ask for more!
Cons: Everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, comfortable, the air-conditioning and it was close to the Center plaza and the off street parking
7.1 Good
Pros: I like the location. Palenque is small and there are many hotels around the area. There are hotels on the main shopping street. This hotel is 2 streets over. I like the room, it is big. The shower is strong. The air conditioner works fine but noisy but no complaint. I like the ceiling fan which offer respite from the heat. Drinking water was provided and it was helpful. The staff was nice . She tried her best to help and I appreciate that despite being overworked. I like the fresh towel every day and the garbage can emptied. The room was quiet. It was eerily quiet. I only saw a few guests there. There were no street noises.
Cons: The hotel said it provides breakfast but it takes too long. I was there at 7:30 hoping to eat something quick. There were 2 tables, a table with a couple and a table with a couple and a child. It took 10 to 15 minutes to serve the first table. By that time I ran out of time. I need to go to the archeological site before the heat . I didn’t fault the person who works there who by the way was the same reception that I saw the previous day at 2:30 pm and it was 29 hours and the same person serving breakfast. By the time I left the following morning at 7:30 am, I saw the same receptionist. She worked like 40 hours and more . I think the receptionist was overworked. They need to have more staff and let the receptionist rest and not have hours that was longer than an emergency room doctor or intern. The dining room was very small with maybe 5 small tables. The kitchen where the breakfast was prepared was ridiculously small. Because of the lousy service, the hotel is better off not offer any breakfast and lower the price instead. I saw hotels in the area for around the same price. The room has a view of a public area so no privacy. I have to keep the blind close at all time. The bed was high. I am 5 feet 8 inches and it is a bit difficult climbing to bed. There wasn’t any liquid soap to wash your hands. This is a low cost item. The room is not very well lit. There is only 1 overhead light and 1 desk lamp. Be careful with the staircase as on the last flight of step to the top floor, the first step is higher than the rest and I almost tripped. The internet doesn’t work well at all. It was fading in and out. Forgetting about streaming movies. Overall I feel that there are better hotels in the area and this one is not my favorite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Cleanness; dedicated staff; breakfast’s quality; located nearby restaurants; nice furnitures & interiors in mexican style; quite place
Cons: We encountered the problem of no hot water in our room
7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast is great, we got eggs with our continental breakfast.
Cons: There’s only 1 socket that worked with our adaptor as the other ones were older versions.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location. Clean.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location was good, near main shopping area & restaurants. Fairly quiet, although our friends with an outside room could hear music from outside for a while. Receptionist was helpful with directions & calling taxi.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super friendly. The hotel is nice. Unfortunately Palenque city doesn’t have a lot to offer but from the hotel it is really easy to travel around. Best breakfast ever!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is fantastic with the best coffee in town. I was told it’s organic and grown locally in Chiapas. The hotel owner and her son are extremely helpful, offering advice on restaurants and traveling to Tunina by public transportation.
Cons: WiFi is kind of weak in rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance from bus station Close to main shopping strip Nice breakfast Great coffee Helpful receptionist Room was spotless and cleaned every day
Cons: The hotel is a bit lifeless, but it's safe and secure.

Pros: It was definitely the best hotel I have been during my whole trip through Yucatán . Price comfort relation is absolutely fantastic .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: awesome service, comfortable beds, great breakfast, good facilities and good value for money. This place exceeded our expectations based on what we paid. Would recommend staying here if in town for a few days.
Cons: located at the quiet end of town so needed to walk or taxi to a larger selection of bars and restaurants (only 40 pesos so not an issue). There are some good small local restaurants open for lunch but nothing for dinner in the area other than the hotel.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The possibility to have different service like laundry, not easy to find everywhere
Cons: Dirty, room stinks
5.8 Okay
Pros: Food and breakfast were good. Waiters polite, prevenant. Hotel nestled in a nice park
Cons: People should respect the rules of the swimming pool. No shower before swimming, and a lot swam in their casual dress. What did the staff ?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with cute details. Pool is great, free towels for the sunbeds.
Cons: The tennisrackets were worn out, but it is free to play so... A bit out of the center. Food in the restaurant is overpriced for it's quality.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, only a 20 mins drive from the Palenque ruins.
Cons: The music at the pool was a bit too loud, but when we complained about it they turned it down. The food was OK, but the buffet choice was quite limited.
5.4 Okay
Pros: polite staff
Cons: This is not a 3 star hotel, it's a 2 or a 1 star. didn't even have a shower curtain or soap. I had to call to ask for towels.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nicely located in the middle of green gardens.
Cons: Staff barely spoken any English.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The garden.
Cons: Tv Chanel’s where all in Spanish and the quality of the image was bad.

Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, very nice pool areas.
Cons: Lacks charm and personality
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean, large rooms, airconditioned, there is a pool and parking and it’s close to a large super market. The staff is kind though the person at the reception did his best to speak English to us - he did not speak well enough to assist us with any questions or concerns (just beginner level English).
Cons: This Hotel could be nice and maybe it was once worth 4 stars. However, it is missing basic facilities and the level of attention you would expect from a hotel at this level. The rooms are very simple, bland and lack character and luxury. The beds are marketed as double beds but they are large single beds (120 cm in our room) so if you want to sleep comfortably be aware that it’s not suitable for more than 2 people (unfortunately for us, we were 3) the beds are also VERY hard. There is no lift or help with carrying your luggage and a lot of stairs. There is NO MINIBAR or fridge at the room. We went to the Chedraui to buy a coolbox and icecubes to keep our drinks cool. We reserved for 3 people, but got only 2 towels, 2 small bottles of water and 1 glass. there is only 1 chair in the room (thus lack of attention for details I was referring to). There is a balcony, but no chairs to sit and enjoy it. The internet is not secured and does not work properly most of the time. After cleaning our room, the dirty towels were taken away - but we had to wait over 2 hours for fresh towels (we discovered this after we got back from the pool and wanted to take a shower). When we called reception - we were told that our towels are in the dryer and we will get them in a few minutes (it took a couple of hours after the call to actually get new towels). The team also ignored the ‘do not disturb’ sign, and woke us up a couple of times. In short - if you are looking for a clean place to rest for a night, it’s ok. But if you expect any kind of special stay, or luxury you’d better look further. For this price there are better options in the area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I love everything
Cons: nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice hotel with an American layout and size, staff speaks English.
Cons: Pool is dirty and not well maintained. No acces to bar at the pool

Cons: - we were charged more than shown on booking
7.9 Good
Pros: Good service, nice room, beautiful swimming pool and relax zone. Good Wi-Fi connection. Very good food for breakfast and other meals! Very nice stuff at the restaurant. Highly recommended!
Cons: A bit noisy in the nights as the rooms don't have maybe thick walls.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel seemed like it had a good atmosphere. Our family did not stay in hotel long enough to enjoy the pool, which looked pretty inviting, fun. Everything was clean. We pretty much only spent the evenings there since we went on a couple of all-day tours. Staff was friendly. I would go back there again but this time enjoy all day relaxing stay in the hotel. There is a supermarket a couple of blocks away.
Cons: Hotel did not have a refrigerator nor coffee; used to this in the US; otherwise everything was great.

Pros: Excellent location close to the park. Nicely designed rooms & comfortable bed. Staff was helpful and nice particularly as we were not 100% fit during the stay. I think we were also upgraded.
Cons: Shows just a little tear and wear I would say. No eating options in the hotel, but good restaurants close by. Private outdoor bath nice, but water did not get really hot. Value for money is OK but not outstanding.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing eco hotel located very close to the pyramids, offering a delicious breakfast and beautiful decor. My partner and I enjoyed a relaxing couples massage and had our beautiful tub awaiting us upon our return to our room. My expectations were truly exceeded!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Truly exceptional service and beautiful concept with a respectful integration into the natural surroundings.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was lovely, surrounded by trees and the rooms was independent, so we weren't disturbed by noise. The room was lovely inside and it had an outdoor bath. The locally made shampoos, body washes etc. were a nice touch. The hotel was about halfway between the ruins and Palenque town. It didn't have a restaurant in site which meant we had to leave in order to have dinner. This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in in Mexico.
Cons: We tried to contact the hotel a few days before arriving to try and and our booking but didn't receive a response. The breakfast wasn't very tasty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing place, i highly recommend this beautiful hidden gem! One of the best hotels i've stayed in! Lovely staff, beautiful and confortable rooms, the swimming pool area was very enjoyable, very peacefull and relaxing hotel. Amazing value for money!
Cons: Nothing, would have loved to try a massage but they were a bit pricey unfortunately.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location within the green lush jungle. It is very calm and silent there. No music no loud people or kids. Very relaxing. At times you can listen to the nature and animals in the trees. The bathtub on the Terrasse is amazing. We had a room at the very end so we where completely alone and out of sight. Nice for taking a bath and enjoying the sunset through the jungle leaves. Very comfortable bed. Huge and good and clean blankets. Also a very big ventilator over the bed made a great job in not needing to use the AC. Although there was one too. Bathroom is very large and has good facilities. Everything has small details in decoration wich is nice. They niceley clean and tidy the room every day.
Cons: Not enough personell. It seems that only one guy does everything there. He was very nice and helpful but he can't do the job for usually many different people. If the pool was maintained and cleaned a little more it would have been even niceer. But I guess in the jungle that's pretty hard. A little English would be great for the staff. They don't speak a word though which makes it hard for non Spanish speakers I guess. (We can speak a little and people where always very nice and tried to help).
