I also loved the location, few steps from St. Antonio Church, 10 to 15 minutes walk to everywhere. The tram station was also near the hotel which was very convenient. I really enjoyed the stay at Hotel Belludi 37, and hope to return again.

Pros: In a prime tourist location, Belludi 37 sits less than 150 meters from a small trollied rail-system that operates throughout the city of Padova stopping at major intersections, areas of interest and even obeys law of traffic, as would a taxi or bus. The last (or first) stop for the trolley ends right out front of the Padova Train Station. Did I mention good location?

Nothing was too much trouble and he even confirmed my next hotel booking for me, in another city. The room was fantastic - really modern and clean. The king size bed was amazing. Totally unexpected to receive a farewell bottle of wine from the hotel owners too. Wow!

Pros: The hotel was beautiful, stylish and modern. The food (we only ate breakfast there) was of an excellent standard and the views from the dining room were stunning. The staff were very helpful, they spoke good english and could give us helpful advice on trains to Venice, etc. The hotel was well situated for the train station (Venice just 30 minutes away and train travel cheap and efficient) and Padova is a beautiful city.

Cons: OK, so yes the decoration is a bit dated year 2000. But when you think about the price of construction work, I understand that they focus primarily on cleanliness of rooms (repainted indeed) and not on more marble. Good choice.

Cons: It was a bit far from town and a bus was required - but that was my fault for not checking too closely when I booked. A single bus ride on the #9 bus (1EU each way) got us in to town without too much trouble. Not much choice in the way of restaurants around the hotel, the their own one which is around 400m away is interesting and provides excellent food. There is a great pizza joint also about 150m away down the major street. Another one in one of the backstreets was just too seedy for us. One of the male staff members was less than helpful though this may have been because our grasp of Italian was limited.
