10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent: 1 minute from de slopes. We recommend the hotel! We did already many hotels in Obergurgl, but this one was the most tastefull decorated of all. Its a hotel runed by the owners. They are very envolved and very kind. The spa was really amasing: big, beautiful an spacy! The breakfast was really good and het homemade muesli is extraordinarily. The coffee was very special: made on each table!
Cons: If we have something to say that is less good, it should be the bathroom. Mayby it could be more recent, but it was very practical and clean.
7.5 Good

Located in Soelden, Hotel Gurglhof is in the mountains, a 1-minute drive from Ortler Ski Arena and 9 minutes from Ötztaler Ache. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very well run by attentive friendly staff.
Cons: I liked most things so this box is irrelevant.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Checking in was the best experience at this hotel. You leave your car with bags in it, go in, have a drink in the bar and the valet parking man takes your bags to your room and parks your car in the garage. Saunas, pool was ok, but would be nice for the adults if it was a bit more quite. Not perfect as a romantic SPA, since you have teenagers jumping in the pool around you. Maybe a time slot, even just 30-60 min, where it is adults only would make it better. Food was nice
Cons: Pillow was kind of strange and it was VERY warm in the room. We had to sleep with the windows open in the middle of February. Made it ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was ideal for a long weekend skiing. Easy to get to from airport and the hotel itself was effectively ski in ski out so very little hassle and no time lost. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Food and service was superb. Spa area and pool lovely. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Nothing

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff, facilities and location

Pros: Service, staff and food excellent
Cons: Room & shower room was very small and extremely hot. Neighbours smoking on their balconies 24/7 meant smoke was coming in through open windows
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Staff Excellent Food
Cons: The price was expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was superb. No faults. Staff were exceptional, hotel is newish and spotless and the restaurant in the evening was 5 star. I had driven to the hotel from Munich with my work crew and my car was parked and accumulated lots of snow. The staff, without me asking, cleaned all the snow off the car. Exceptional hotel.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: There was nothing not to like! A very polite, friendly, helpful and professional team. Delicious plentiful food, menu choices were good, we were very well looked after by Peter in the dining room who couldn't do enough for us. The afternoon buffet was much enjoyed and looked forward to after a day on the pistes before heading off to unwind in the pool and Spa. Bedroom was large, well equipped with comfy beds, and quiet at night. Short walk to lift station. The hotel ticked every box.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, very clean and operated to perfection by the staff. Everything can be arranged and we felt very welcome. The food was fresh and very good, we really enjoyed beeakfast and dinner. The spa area is lovely and the rooms are nice and well equiped. The location is very good and close to the ski rent and the slopes.
Cons: Stepping into the bath to shower is a bit old fashioned.

Cons: There was nothing not to like
7.5 Good
Cons: Outdoor pool was cold. Coffee was cold. Need an owner's manual to operate the shower

The room was spacious, which is great when you ski as you have so much stuff to keep. the bed was very comfortable. there was good storage. the bathroom is great and spacious, the shower and bath are good too. the spa is nice, we only used the pools and the textile sauna which were good and clean. we did use the Finnish sauna.
Cons: the hotel is really great but if I had to pick some faults I would say: the toilet being separate from the bathroom but not having a sink for washing hands, the fact that there was no coffee making facility in the room and that we couldnt book a massage while we were there (they were fully booked all week)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our rooms felt very clean and tidy! We had two rooms that were connected, resulting in having 3 bathrooms (two with toilets and showers, and one with a tub). In our case we also had a nice balcony with a view of the valley and mountains! Parking is right out front. Host very nice.

Pros: The breakfast was good, the rooms are spacious.
Cons: Sauna is available only in Winter, I could use it after a sommer hike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything -- the room (apartment), the bed, the breakfast, the hostility -- everything was top notch!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location,good price.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely, the lady behind the desk spoke great English and was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fab, the room was in great condition and clean and comfortable. Nice extras such as boot warmers and space to kit and unkit with easy access boot rooms. Nice spa.
Cons: There was nothing to not like as the guesthouse was quite clear about what it was and wasn't. My comments are therefore not negative but simply for information. The room looked straight onto a wall with no view and wasn't really the kind of room you would want to hang out in for long. There are few restaurants in Obergurgl and the food became very samey. Being a guest house and not a hotel, there was no common area to hang out in. The house is also up a steep hill and so anybody with difficulty walking might find it a struggle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and nice. The house is located at the very end of The Valley which makes it a perfectly quiet holiday destination!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Good location, 40 meters walk, then ski to/from the slopes. Apartment was allergy friendly and fully equipped with everything needed to cook your own food.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent as were the dining room & staff. Room was very comfortable & the hosts were very friendly & helpful. We had a great time & look forward to returning for another holiday
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and well maintained, if a little dated compared with other Obergurgle hotels. The room was comfortable and the maid service very good. The dining room was also clean and efficiently run.
Cons: Honestly, it felt like the owners would rather be doing something else. I felt rather sad for them as they did their jobs properly but it was all rather joyless and this seemed to rub off on their staff. A short walk across the road to another hotel opened up a whole new world of friendly hospitality. A small thing, but to be charged 4 euros for a bottle of tap water at dinner is outrageous, particularly when paid-for drinks are on the table too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous food, great location, warm and friendly staff, large, comfortable room
Cons: Nothing at all

Pension Bergfrieden - Obergurgl - Building
13
9.4 Excellent (53 reviews)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location (close to the slopes), the cleanliness of the hotel and the facilities (including the new sauna area). The room itself was warm (even a bit too warm), the TV working well, the bathroom modern, enough storage space. We appreciated the good communication with the owner, as we were a bit worried with the weather before.
Cons: The area is pretty much “frozen” at night, you have to rely on buses or the personal car to go somewhere to eat. It’s perfect for skiing as Obergurgl is a nice resort, for Sölden you would take the bus for 20 mins (it runs frequently during the day). We would have expected a bit more variety for breakfast, especially when staying a whole week the options are pretty limited. I wouldn’t normally complain about this, but the price of the stay sets the expectations a bit higher in terms of offered food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hostess was there waiting to welcome us even with late arrival. (Midnight).
Cons: No oven but noted in write up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything. Great location, room, bathroom, view, its a great place to stay.
Cons: There is nothing that we didn't like, probably the breakfast could be a bit more rich.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Bergfrieden is a lovely pension just outside Obergurgl. It is conveniently located near the Hochgurgl bahn, the bus stop for Obergurgl and a ski hire shop (Scheiber) which are all less than a minutes walk away. The owner is very friendly and offered great advice regarding buses and local restaurants. The B&B is cosy and very clean. Our room was very comfortable giving us everything we needed. The shower was excellent with no shortage of hot water when everyone returned from the slopes. The breakfasts were great with eggs cooked to order, fresh rolls, ham, cheese and fruit, together with a variety of teas and coffees.
Cons: Very little ! The chalet was a little warm at night for us, even after turning the radiators off. That was the only negative and it was easily sorted by opening the window a little ! It was a great place to stay Thank you !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cosy and very nice people run this place! Felt like home. Thanks for eggs for breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, friendly staff and short walk to Hochgurgl ski lift. Short bus ride to Obergurgl for plenty of restaurant options in the evening.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location just 300m away from Hochgurgl ski lifts

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Sandra and Gabriel were extremely friendly and made us feel so welcome. The cleanliness everywhere in the accommodation was of the highest standard possible.
Cons: We had to leave.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was the best apartment we have ever stayed in on our many trips. Spacious, clean, everything working. It was basically brand new and equipped to a very high standard. Even the bathroom was 10/10 with everything working. Very pleasant and helpful host. Accessible ski room. The beds were nice and soft; unlike nearly all hotel beds. Great views. You could ski more or less all the way to the hotel from the #6 run.
Cons: Can't think of anything. The price was fairly high, though we have paid even more at hotels in ski resorts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The family were lovely. The sauna, boot room and showers were great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent for skiing. Slope is in front of the house. Some restaurants are close (not a lot of options in Obergurgl though, unless one wants to go inside the 4-star bigger hotels, but this is rather the resort style). Breakfast is good. Beds are comfortable.
Cons: Room is rather small, but not really a problem. it would be helpful to have some extra facilities in the room or in the reception space (e.g. possibility to make a tea/coffee, buy drinks from a self-service fridge in the afternoon / evening).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sandra and Gabriel are excellent, friendly hosts. The guesthouse is immaculate, Ski and boot facilities well laid out, close to ski slopes, rooms extremely comfortable and well cleaned. Great value for money.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Freindly, welcoming staff. Large clean, comfortable rooms. Pros: The apartment was really well equipped for self- catering, it was very spacious and warm, the sauna was a lovely bonus and there was more than ample storage for clothes etc. The owners went out of there way to be really helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: Staff and location

Pros: Fantastic location, a stones throw from the chairlifts. The bar and terrace was lovely to sit and enjoy the sunshine! Dinner was fantastic and the choice was great! Couldn’t fault the hotel at all!!
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Top Location. Less than one minute to the ski slope.
Cons: The air was very dry. The facility did not have humidifiers available.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is the best in Obergurgl. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: Only complaint was an unpleasant smell from our bathroom ventilation.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location to lifts
Cons: Grumpy staff Poor food selection when hotel less busy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, ski cabins just across the street, supermarket in two steps. Very good breakfast, tasty dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms
Cons: It was very hot in the rooms and in the restaurant. Our room faced the street and it was impossible to keep the balcony door open as it was very noisy during the day because of the music from apre ski bar and early in the morning because of street cleaning machines. Very uncomfortable pillows. No food for kids even porridge in the morning.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The closeness to the ski lifts. The cleanliness of the hotel was also good.
Cons: The food wasn’t great, not a lot of choice and very repetitive. The communication from the staff over ordering food, which apparently you are meant to decide on the night before (which is not easy as how do you know what you want to eat the following day!), but we were never told this. Then we were told on the day before we left in a rather unpleasant manner, that we hadn’t been doing this all week. Although we pointed out that we had not been told to do this, it was obvious that they were unhappy that we hadn’t. We would only stay for room and possibly breakfast (although this wasn’t appealing either), as their are much nicer places to eat and probably cheaper too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: rich breakfast / dinner (for 3*) wi-fi location next to the lift / ski slope well organized reception desk / helpful staff
Cons: difficult parking (not enough slots / narrow slots) restaurant staff nice, but obviously not trained as waiters for 3* a bit overpriced (but might be because of the peak season)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly and us feel very wellcome
Cons: right in the centra so all things at hand

Pros: Friendly staff, comfort, breakfast, proximity to bus stop in ski boots and to drag-lift if preferred
Cons: Nothing could be better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect b&b. Can't think of anything I needed extra. Boot room by front door and not down stairs so you just step out front door with skis and bus stop 20 yards across road. Buses every 10mins take you to both gondola stations in obergurgl and over to hochgurgl and soelden. Bus stop electronic info board let's you know when next bus is due in minutes. Martinshof is exactly between both obergurgl gondolas. Ski hire shop directly across road as is pizza takeaway or can eat it in hotel when you book. Anneliese and katja very friendly and approachable to sort out any needs, booked me taxi on Saturday morning. Anneliese makes homemade jam and schnapps. Rooms not too hot yet radiators very user friendly for heating clothes. No traffic noise. Cold meats, varied cornflakes fruit jam and toast at breakfast. Room clean and aired. Info on travel, mountain and eateries readily available. Value for money 100%.
Cons: Perfect b&b. Can't think of anything I needed extra. Pixner family was very helpful and it's the perfect location in centre of obergurgl to get to either gondolas, bus stop opposite and goes to both gondolas and hochgurgl.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sauna, Administration, Parking, Breakfast. Location is perfect!
Cons: Slow Wi-fi. Boots dryer in drying room. Boots can't be dryed if they are upside down, despite heating.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The place was very quiet (in fact, when I arrived everything was dark and I didn't see anyone, there just was a key waiting for me at the reception), and the people were accomodating. I needed breakfast early, because of the conference I was attending, and they allowed me to have breakfast earlier than the regular time. Also, I wanted to go to the sauna out of the scheduled time, and they put it on early for me. The room was nice: spacious and pleasant.
Cons: There was a water cooker in the room, but no tea bags, you had to buy those yourself (but maybe that's the custom in Austria?) Breakfast was a bit basic, but I guess that given that there were not that many people in the hotel at the time, they do not put too much food there, because the remainder will have to be thrown away. The sauna officially is only on from four to eight, so an evening sauna (which I like) is not possible. There were not so many towels in the shower (only one small one and one large one), but for a traveller alone that is reasonable. The view from my room was not very good (a courtyard with a car), but I expect from other rooms it will be great (snowy mountains).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A family owned/run pension right near the slopes. Super friendly, super helpful!!! Delicious and healthy breakfast buffet. Nice, clean wellness area! Roomy room and nice relaxed atmosphere.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great - directly on the bus route and 10 meters from the front door is a stop. Walk to the nearest lift is 3 minutes. We had a "superior" room, so it was a bit larger and had a view of mountains and into town. Breakfast was sufficient. All in all you get what you pay for - if you want 4* then you pay for that...we got what we expected for what we paid. Family run place - very nice and accomodating.
Cons: Bath towels could be "heavier" material. Pillows could have more to them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice spacious rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location to the Ski area was fantastic. The hotel is spotless clean and comfortable with a nice spa area. Clean bedding and towels every day and a basic but good breakfast with fresh jams eggs and bread and cheese and meats.
Cons: The staff could be more Freindly towards the guests. Also I realise I booked a single room with no view but the hotel was empty and I was refused a upgrade to a room with a view which was very disappointing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location in the village is perfect for the lifts. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Rooms were ok sized but very clean and comfortable with excellent views from the balcony. Bathroom also small but spotlessly clean and clearly new. Shower excellent with good water pressure. Breakfast was very good given the price. Overall a very good value accommodation in the heart of the village.
Cons: We had a triple room and a double room. The triple was simply the same as the double with a rather basic sofa bed. The sofa bed was very hard and not comfortable for a fully grown adult. Probably ok for a child or even a teenager, but as an official triple the owners should find a way to have more comfortable adult-sized third beds. No other issues though; this is a very good guest house overall.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The food was very good, could not fault it for a 3 star Hotel
Cons: The Hotel says it is an All Inclusive Hotel but it is really a 'half board' with the inclusion of beer and wine at dinner only, plus soft drinks. You have to pay for all other drinks if you sit at the bar area when the bar is open.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, warm and welcoming staff who really went out of their way to look after us and make our week long stay special. The food is exceptional and exactly what one needs before and at the end of a long day of skiing. The wait staff and chefs were very professional and we enjoyed seeing them everyday. The hotel has its own ski shop (also with exceptional staff) and the ski room was practical and accessible. Obergurgl is a great place to ski and we look forward to returning.
Cons: Next time we’ll look forward to staying in one of the refurbished rooms. Our room was very practical with plenty of space for all our ski gear and items as we were travelling with a baby (the hotel kindly also arranged a cot and change mat) but a bigger bathroom with bath would have been great since the spa facilities are limited. We still really enjoyed our stay regardless and would return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall, a very comfy hotel, and I would stay again. Staff were excellent.
Cons: It's not really 'All Inclusive'. It offers half board, with beer, wine and soft drinks included with your meal, or up to 2100hrs. The restaurant served excellent food, and the restaurant staff could not have been more helpful. Wonderful people. However, the restaurant is a little basic looking and not very characterful. It could do with being a bit more 'cosy'. My comments about the 'All Inclusive' are not meant to be negative about the hotel, but to make other possible guests aware that what they expect when booking may not be quite what they get when at the hotel.
