I had to wait for 3 and half hours after the schedule time for picking up my vehicle. And then when I finally got it, it was not the type of suv which I had paid for. I got a compact suv instead of the one I booked, which was an intermediate suv. And they did not even adjust the price. It was a bad experience in all.

I cancelled this order and they have not refunded me fully and it’s impossible to get ahold of a representative, when I finally did they said it would process. Almost a month later affirm is charging me and hertz only gave me a partial refund and I’ve had to reopen this issue with them but it has yet to be resolved.

The lied me. The agent sold me an upgrade that I didn't want. He didn't tell me anything about the upgrade, he just said that there was an error that would be solved when I return the car. Surprise: there wasn't any error and they regret to return the money because I signed the contract (that wasn't well explained). It's a scam. Don't rent a car here or in avis.

During the booking process Kayak just added besides my wish San Jose airport also Oakland airport. It was my bad that I did not check in detail prior to final booking but at the end I rented a car at a location, which I could not cancel or switch station. Money was wasted, therefore. I blame besides my own foolishness also the research form from kayak. Last car rental with kayak for me :(

I called Alamo twice to confirm that my SUV rental would be AWD as this was the sole reason for my rental to drive into snowy weather and both times was told I would have AWD with any SUV rental. However, at OAK airport I was told I am not guaranteed AWD and in additional OAK airport is the only Alamo location in the Bay Area that charges an additional fee for AWD. Eventually the agent did make an effort to help me get what we needed but the experience was unnecessarily disconcerting.

The experience was good. On the other hand, I had selected an electric vehicle and I did not noticed that I had done so. I think Kayak should make this information more explicit or do not select electric vehicles by default without asking the client since for long distances an electric vehicle might be a problem.

Scheduled a pick up for 9 am. We called at 8 am to ensure our car was ready; they said it was. We arrived only to have them let us know that they were sold out and had been sold out since 6 am and we were lied to. We were told that we had to wait two and a half hours if not more. It wasn’t until we waited in a line of 20+ people to speak to the clerk that told us we could leave earlier if we took an E.V. The customer service at hertz was horrible and thrifty was better.

They should rename themselves to PayMore. I received an extra charge of 112 dollars with no explanation or notice. It was apparently for gas even though I returned the car with a full tank. I was put on an hour long hold to dispute this. Waste of time and no respect for renters.

I booked through a 3rd party and they accepted my reservation but when I arrived they said they were sold out for a few days. They were able to help me but stressed me out about it first. 3rd party should know exact inventory to prevent this.

Sorry my bad. I screwed up. Will actually not fully my fault. I did indicate I wanted to rent from SFO airport and it also apparently gave me options for Oakland airport rentals and I rented a car from there without realizing. Duh! Will anyway it was nonrefundable and I'm screwed out of $140. So since kayak sent me a request via email for a review of my car rental it's fair to say it didn't go so well!

I reserved the car and was scheduled to pick it up at 8PM. I showed up a little bit late, and I assume this would be no problem, because the Oakland Airport Rental Car Center is open 24 hours a day. When I got to the car rental center, no one was at the Payless desk, and another lady told me that Payless closes at 8PM. So why would I be allowed to reserve a car for pickup at the time that the desk closes? So anyway, I had to change my trip plans because I had no rental car.

it was terrible. the clerk was rude, insolent, hostile and yelled at me. i hadnt intentionally reserved an EV (I don't live in the bay area and don't know the infrastructure) but he told me i had to take one. he wouldn't tell me his name or call his manager.

The truck I reserved wasn’t available so dealership had me get a more expensive suv. I should have been offered the suv at the same price of my original reserved vehicle. Worker at pick-up had me sign up for me coverage even after tellling him I already signed up for different coverage and I didn’t know I was charged for the extra coverage until after my receipt was emailed to me. Won’t be returning to Enterprise for any future car rentals.

The license plate was rattling on the car while driving. Only screwed in on the top of the plate and no screws on the lower portion of the plate, which caused it to rattle at higher speeds or going over rougher roads or bumps.

I reserved my car months ago with Avis and I even called that morning to confirm it. By the time I went to pick up my car at 3pm my scheduled pick up time, the front desk told me that there’s no car for me to pick up. They offered us 2 SUVs instead of one 12 seat passenger van. We asked if they can help check if other nearby Avis has the 12 passenger van. She just throw me the customer service line and said they don’t have access to other Avis. Not helpful at all and they don’t even care if they ruin your plan. We understand things happen but at least you call us ahead of time so we have time to find alternative.

The car had no windshield wiper fluid and no UBS ports so we couldn't charge our phones and have the benefit of a nav system.
