I don’t have enough space to write about the horrors of my experience staying at the Comfort Inn Downtown Albuquerque. It was not comfortable-the staff greeted my smiling face with as much hostility as possible, also lied over the phone about the pool being open-it’s not and by the looks of it hasnt been in some time. Also, the hotel isn’t downtown, it’s in an industrial area surrounded by giant-fenced, razor-wired, barred-windowed businesses and a huge homeless encampment. Police and community service workers everywhere on the otherwise empty streets picking up drunk and drugged people passed out. Their are giant signs in the parking lot from the police department saying DONT BE A VICTIM:PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK:LOCK YOUR CAR. This hotel is nowhere near the cute and safe businesses and restaurants that are actually downtown. My floor in the room was wet, and even in dry Albuquerque it never dried! We could not sleep because of the partying in the parking lot in the middle of the night-whooping and hollering. Even though we booked two nights, we left after one, and that felt like one too many. Not hospitable at this hotel AT ALL. Horror show. Don’t be a victim! Stay somewhere else.
