The service, staff and owners we friendly and welcoming and it’s an oasis in the beautiful town of Nîmes. 10 min walk to the Arena and lots of restaurants and amenities right next door. The gardens and pool area are beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. The house is an unbelievable treasure trove of antiques and baroque collection pieces. So much effort has gone into everything. Our room was cool, calm and wonderfully decorated. Thank you to all for an amazing 2 nights!
Cons: All perfect for us
7.5 Good
Pros: Living in a house/mansion - more. ‘Hotel particuliere- with such wonderful 18th-19th C décor & fascinating collection of objets d’art with extraordinary plantings was an aesthetic pleasure!
Cons: Room service menu was basic. No restaurant - or one closer than half a mile (in s town where the Center is all pedestrian streets, means you have to be young & agile, whereas the style is ‘old world’.

Pros: great breakfast convenient location
Cons: decor a bit overwhelming
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel’s location is perfect - it’s easy to get round. The room was great - high ceiling, big space, soundproofing. The mirror in the bathroom has two types of lighting. Breakfast was really tasty and I had a big variety to chose from. Personal were really kind and helpful. If I go to Nîmes again I’ll definitely stay at this hotel!
Cons: -
7.5 Good
Pros: The Hotel is very convenient for the station, but far enough that you don't hear announcements or train noises. Communication with the hotel was good when my train was late and my arrival was after their reception was due to close.
Cons: I think my only criticism is that there was nowhere to hang a handtowel near the wash basin.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location, close to tourist attractions. Ground floor room for my wife. Friendliness & helpfulness of staff.
Cons: Buffet breakfast was expensive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Liked the location, the very friendly staff, the building
Cons: Bathroom very small but everything worked well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful reception, lovely room, very good location near railway station.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for short stay in Nimes without a car. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. A good selection of breakfast items with some hot options for €10 per person.
Cons: Newly refurbished but rooms were a little dark.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very conveniently located small hotel within a short walk of the train station. Very friendly helpful staff. Clear instructions about use of swipe key & safe access to the building at night. My room was at the top of the building up 3 flights of steep steps & I was offered help with my luggage. This was not an issue for me but would be for a lone traveller with mobility issues. My room & bathroom were pleasantly presented with fresh linen & towels. Although small the room was well equipped with plenty of task lighting & had a small table & chair, a full length mirror, plenty of hangers. My bed was very comfortable & I slept well. The street was quiet. All restaurants, city attractions, shops & public transport were nearby. Buffet breakfast was served in a pleasant dining room on ground floor
Cons: The first morning I saw that the tables were not cleared. This had obviously been remedied on the day I left as everything was clean & Rudy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, very helpful & friendly staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant, warm, just the right degree of friendliness. Excellent breakfasts.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large airy room. Central location. Helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Reading light by bed very dim.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and a large, pretty room, with a nice bathroom. Helpful welcoming staff
Cons: I have trouble climbing stairs, so lack of an elevator was s challenge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a little disappointing. Perhaps because we were usually the last to arrive we had to ask for extra supplies which was a bit embarrassing.
Cons: Not a lot and the pluses out did the minuses. Finding our way to the hotel by car was very difficult.
7.5 Good
Cons: I had great difficulty finding the hotel by car. The hotel is in a pedestrianised area and we eventually found an underground car park and had to find hotel on foot. It would have been easy and most helpful to have been advised about this in advance, perhaps giving the name of the nearest car park and directions for walking to hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly. Location. Altogether very good
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely provincial hotel full of character, right in the centre of town. Friendly welcome and proper pots of tea and coffee at breakfast.
Cons: No lift
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is near to many atractions, the receptionist was excellent. Very nice rooms
Cons: I rented a car and i didnt know that the hotel is in a pedestrian part of the town...so...after driving around trying to get there...we had to park in a public parking (20 eur less than 24 hours). Also no shower curtain...only baths

Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Great location in Nimes.
Cons: Shower was pretty substandard.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Room and amenities modest but clean and comfortable. Breakfast option was a bad value. Overall location was convenient; immediate site was ok but not enticing. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Pros: The hotel owners were wonderful and helped us better understand the city and festival. Breakfast was nice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, not far from train and bus station, and very close to the bars and restaurants of the centre. Clean room with all the facilities you expect. Run by friendly people, who also offer to store luggage for you. Helpful restaurant information chart left in the room (great idea!)
Cons: Nothing not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great location with friendly staff, clean room, close car park and everything was easy.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel which proved good value for money. Both owners were very welcoming and informative with well put together written info as to how to get to the off street parking garage and how to make best use of the facilities in the room. Good recommendations given as to the restaurants nearby which proved useful, given our stay was on a Sunday. (We went to the Les Magnolias which was really good).
Cons: Nothing to mention.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the large room and especially the air-conditioning (as it was close to 40 degrees), which was a godsend. Great location from the Train station and the Centre of the Town. The hotel owners are so helpful, providing great dining suggestions. The room was really big compared to Paris hotel rooms. We were only here for the night but would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Personel spreaks really good english and is really nice. The location very good and the price quality rating is the best i ever had!
Cons: Its a little old hotel so the noise reduction between the rooms and sound insulation of the guide shafts is a little poor.
Le Pré Galoffre - Nimes - Building
6
8.5 Excellent (820 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Le Pré Galoffre in Nîmes (Costières), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Nîmes Museum of Natural History and Prehistory and Costieres Stadium. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely setting, set back off a busy road with lots of trees for shady parking. Staff were very sweet and helpful. 2 swimming pools, rooms were quiet, bed linen was lovely. Tiny mini bars in rooms allow for storage of bottled water. Decor is cool, and restful. The 15-20 minute drive into "old" Nimes was straightforward.
Cons: Finding the place wasn't easy. Car navigation system could have used some coordinates. And the signs for the property actually read Mas Le Pré Galoffre (not Hotel - a tiny point, but when you're hunting in a foreign country the fine details matter!) Save your money on the breakfast - the overall selection was very poor (and swarming with flies) and at EUR 13 per person, you'd be better off to find a coffee shop for fresh fruit juice (rather than carton), fresh pastries and properly ripened fruit. The fine print for the booking reveals a surcharge for pets - its EUR 15 per animal per night (!) which quickly bumps up the overall cost of your stay. If you have a lot of luggage, be mindful you'll be carrying it about 100m over a heavily pebbled drive - you won't want to break your suitcase wheels on that! The glass shower screen is tiny - so be prepared for some gymnastics to shower without flooding the floor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Grounds and buildings are beautiful and staff extremely friendly. Room lovely and very comfy bed.
Cons: Bathroom a little bit dated and food menu a bit tasteless despite being set in an amazing terrace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice and the hotel was in a very nice location. We chose it because it was dog friendly and had their own parking. We did not get to try the restaurant as it was already fully booked. We ate at the hotel immediately next door which was so-so but it was very late when we arrived and we needed to eat!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had to check in late for some unavoidable reason and the staff was very accommodative to receive us a bit later in the night. Also they did remind us of a back pack which was left behind during checkout. Very courteous and helpful staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A delightful building set in the French countryside but just a stones throw from historic Names. A very restful place with a calming atmosphere. Very helpful staff, I would certainly recommend staying here.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting, close to Nimes, pleasant surroundings, quiet, relaxed, nice and comfortable rooms with small fridge. We were given two rooms at the price of a family one as they were out of family rooms.
Cons: We were greeted quite unpersonally and without information (wifi, breakfast) and that always makes you feel less welcome even if this is a nice hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The loft we stayed in was perfect. Decorated to a high standard with extremely comfortable beds. The pool was a great place to relax after travelling in the morning and for a wonderful poolside breakfast the next day. The staff on duty couldn’t have been more helpful.
Cons: No faults with the hotel at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was charming. The staff attentive and accommodating. We arrived late and they had run out of the main course for dinner and offered us a nice salad and reduced the price of the meal.
Cons: The internet was not working. The shower glass wall was not wide enough to operate the shower head attached to the wall without water going everywhere. We used the removable hand held shower head to wash. It was fine. We had a family room with two twin beds in the mezzanine. A nightlight to light the way down the spiral staircase would be useful. We left the bathroom light on with the door ajar as a substitute.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Likely to make up for the hotel's shortcomings.
Cons: Tiny, cheaply finished rooms. Rooms stripped of basics (soap/waste bins). Feels like a cheap motel. 20-minute drive from Nîmes proper. Pool tiny and dirty. Understaffed. Food service on a porch only. For those whose prime concern is cost; no joy otherwise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and stylish place. All personal were very friendly, despite I don’t speak french
7.5 Good
Pros: Small little hotel
Cons: Bathroom shower

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location great with own parking (at a reasonable cost of 10€) and the personal was really helpful when trying to book a restaurant for the evening. Decent place to stay.
Cons: Bathroom setup a bit weird with the shower in the room and a bit worn, but clean.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location for train travel, comfy beds and good breakfast.
Cons: A kettle would have been great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of space in room for travel. Beds generous and very comfortable - clean crisp sheets. Bathroom excellent - well furnished with amazing drench shower. Eco toiletries really nice & fresh - hair has felt amazing & I usually use Aveda. Breakfast very relaxed with generous selection of products. Croissants nice and warm and very buttery. Nicer than recent 5 star hotels I have recently stayed - changed my opinion of "budget" to "great value".
Cons: Larger hand towels as I tend to use one as a turban to dry my hair. Nit picking really.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location.Friendly&helpful staff.Comfortable bed.Good,clean bathroom facilities.Good breakfast
Cons: We can find no fault with our stay
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was very very comfy. Unfortunately we could not stay longer
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect localization. Very simple. Great for short stay. Clean.
Cons: If you warm water or coffee you need to go to lobby
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to turism sites
Cons: View
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were excellent
Cons: Hard to find- very basic room
9.7 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Styles for 3 nights in December. We thought it was great. The hotel is right behind the train station, which was great for us, as we were using the train for transport. A short walk through the train station and diwn a picturesque walkway got us right to the middle if the old town. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations for meals. Breakfast was included and snacks were available all day and also included in the rate. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The rooms are great! The only negative is they they are a bit small and a little dark. But, the space is used very well and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. Great value for the money!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast and the perfect location - especially if you are arriving by train.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location next to railway station on main line from Paris to Barcelona. Also close to Nimes town centre and Arena. Breakfast simple but adequate. Evening meals a bonus, especially on weekdays - the 'plat du jour' was brilliant and meant that we didn't have to go hunting for a restaurant in town.
Cons: A basic hotel but a step up from basic Ibis or Ibis budget, although still very good value. This one was very well run. Not much to dislike unless you're very picky.
ibis budget Nîmes Centre Gare - Nimes - Bedroom
8
8.2 Excellent (3,175 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from the train station and the old town, the Hotel ibis budget Nîmes Centre Gare boasts modern architecture and 55 cocoon rooms. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a shower and free and unlimited WIFI. Enjoy this inviting, bright, friendly and original setting.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean spacious room, welcoming and helpfull staff. Opposite train station.
Cons: Not applicable
7.7 Good
Pros: Location, opposite the railway and bus station. Cheap rates. Not a lot of services, but is good enough Relatively comfortable room
Cons: In comparison to other ibis budget, I missed a microwave for public use. Very, very slow water drainage in shower. Some nights, shower was more an alternance of hot and cold water than a mix. Internal building sounds, like doors closing, were more a problem than external soundproofing, for me well blocked by the window.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We thought the breakfast was very good and the beds were very comfortable. Perfect location for the station opposite. We arrived fairly late so it was great to only have to walk across the square. We will be back!
Cons: We would have liked larger towels for the shower. Also maybe air conditioning and a lock on the toilet door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, efficient and good location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Exactly what we needed - a great value hotel near the city centre for a one night stay on our way further north. A clean and comfy stay with a great view of the city from our 6th floor room! Near the Roman Arena.
Cons: The hotel parking was too hard to find so we ended up in the railway station parking nearby.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I had a good clean room. No noise.
Cons: To repeat that I wanted to take the breakfast to the Ibis style whereas that I explained that well when arrived.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very basic, clean, modern hotel, good location, but good enough for an overnight stop
Cons: tea or coffee facilities would have been a bonus
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great , just beside the main train station and minutes from the main sites. Super clean and easy to pay for pay parking was directly across the street. Staff were very helpful and the room was perfect for a solo traveller.
Cons: Nothing. Excellent price and facilities for a budget traveller. Great location and a good night's sleep. Well designed for an efficient use of space. Staff gave good suggestions on things to do. Great stay.
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and helpful
Cons: Difficult hotel to find; parking access hard to find as well guess I should have expected only basics for the price
7.5 Good
Cons: There were no eggs - just bread and croissants
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location right next to the station was just what I needed. Everything fine.
Cons: There were no drinks and snacks except from machines. This makes for a soulless feel. In France there are generally no coffee making facilities in room, which, however, would solve the issue.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness and staff friendliness
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff and quality of food.
Cons: Poor location in relation to Nimes. Hotel us dated and is reflected in the quality of the rooms and bathrooms; the spa is also in need of refurbishment desperately.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great food. Lovely room
Cons: Bathroom needs sprucing up
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff. Very comfortable and clean rooms.
Cons: The roomservice option were too limited and the food did not taste good.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good quality real fresh orange juice especially nice and young chef and waiting stafff very friendly and efficient
Cons: Everything else- rude front desk staff, no double bed as promised and no apology or attempt to rectify, uncomfortable bed, several items in bathroom broken or damaged, room service food very poor as extremely over cooked
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff (most of the time)
Cons: 1. No lift working to the pool which meant walking across a road in a towelling dressing gown- to the amusement of people in reception. 2. No towels left at the pool by 19.00hours. 3. 30 minutes wait for an omelette to be cooked at breakfast was unacceptable-the explanation that ‘all the staff are students’ was ridiculous. All in all poor value for money. A hotel at this price should be able to do a lot better.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice size room
Cons: Leaking taps bidet removed Food poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious well equipped room. The wedding we attended was had excellent food and service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Initial check in. Front of house we’re dealing with our check in and another was clearly dealing with a complaint but our member of staff seemed to leave us and deal with the other problem. Not good customer service. However it was excellent in your restaurants.

Pros: friendly welcoming staff. very good breakfast. Nice pool, open already at 8:30 am. Unfortunately arrived too late to eat in the restaurant, but was directed to a burger restaurant across the road which gave 15% discount for Ibis customers. Ok so this is "only" an Ibis hotel... usual simple clean quiet room with a good matress and no frills.. but I felt this was a class above the usual Ibis hotel. Well done!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money with swimming pool and everything you expect from a more expensive hotel. Very comfortable and modern.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On a two day trip by car from Almería, Spain to Limburg, Holland this hotel is exactly halfway at the A9 Nîmes-Ouest exit, so very convenient. It has plenty of gated secure parking space available without reservation or additional pay. Bed and shower are excellent, as with most Ibises. The wifi is included in the price and speed is great. Nice terrace and swimming pool. Cosy bar. Check-in and out efficient and by very friendly attendants. One of the best Ibises we’ve been too and we’ve seen quite a few.

Cons: Rooms rather small, shower rather small. A bit pricey but that's France.

The beds were comfortable, room temperature was easy to regulate. The breakfast was excellent - a feast! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Lots of hot water.
Cons: No draught beer in bar. Bathroom grubby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Very courteous. Easy walk into Nimes city centre
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was only a 15 min walk (even for a tired 4yr old) to the center/train station but felt more like a small tucked away hotel you might find on a hillside somewhere. The courtyard/pool is stunning, with a really nice space for eating outside as well. The wind in Nîmes meant it never got too hot, but also meant the water in the pool was very very cold. The train to the beach at Grau du Roi (where the water is a bit warmer) took less than an hour and was only €1 each way. Great boulangerie across the street, plus a Carrefour just around the corner. The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff really sets this hotel apart. I travel extensively for work and can only think of one other hotel with staff so helpful, and that was after staying at that hotel for a month, not just the few days I spent at L'Orangerie.
Cons: We stayed in two different rooms. The first was more expensive but a bit more shabby. Its shower room really needed updating. The next room we had booked was much more cheerful and fresh, and the bathroom was fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy place, 20 min walk to the city center, rooms were nice and tidy, excellent stuff and provided services. Lidl 4 minutes walk, closest bakery 10min walk. Great relaxation zone by the swimming pool! Definitely can recommend especially for families and couples.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ideal stop-over hotel. Super pool. Room spacious and clean.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access when arriving by car, about 20 minutes walk to town centre. Plenty of on site parking. Very comfortable bed. Staff helpful. Several nearby restaurants - particularly recommend Asian buffet restaurant.
Cons: Swinging side panel on over bath shower did not fit correctly and it was impossible to shower without getting bathroom floor wet. Breakfast buffet normally good but on one morning all pastries seemed to be stale. TV channel numbers quoted for foreign language channels in bedroom information book were totally incorrect - we never did find BBC!

Pros: Fabulous location.
Cons: Bathroom
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great continental breakfast. Very central location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent - right next to Maison carrée and Carré d’art and easy walk to Roman Arena and Beaux-arts museum and much more. Hotel in old building has much quirky style of it’s own. Despite age of building it is kept scrupulously clean. Good breakfast in quirkily decorated but intriguing conservatory looking out onto Arras Square Friendly helpful staff - really seemed to want to explain things. Good breakfast.
Cons: Some difficulties with finding entrance to underground parking which is right next to hotel. Parked in another park with same management and cost €21 overnight. Sounds of water passing through pipes, perhaps toilet flushes heard all night. Not loud but enough to be annoying. Think we should have shut corridor door to piping system that was opposite our room to perhaps lessen this. Restaurant unfortunately not open due to preparations for September Nîmes Ferias. Some untidiness and disruption in entranceway because of this too.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, a few minutes walk from the Arena, the "Forum" and the gardens (worth a visit in the late evening as well as during the day. The hotel fronts onto a lovely "square" one part of which is colonised by its open air restaurant. The place buzzes with locals and the food is really good. Interior design is quirky, but in an interesting way. There are vestiges of a much older building which add interest We spend several months a year in France and this is one of the best places we've stayed at
Cons: Nothing at all. Staff was great, restaurant service prompt and courteous
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel for my trip to Nîmes. Myself and friend had a family room in this cool and quirky hotel which was perfect. We basically had our own bedroom and a bathroom each in this spacious room so was perfect for getting ready to go out. There is also a really nice bar attached to the hotel so perfect for evening drinks and nibbles.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant location and excellent suite. Very spacious and good hotel bar
Cons: The bathroom could’ve been a little better.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is perfect. A very unfriendly staff member night time managed to destroy otherwise a decent hotel stay-
Cons: As I said one of the staff was hostile. The rest of the staff were great and very friendly. Maybe they wanted to compensate this person`s bad behaviour.

Pros: Close to the historic center of the city. Good value for money.
Cons: The bathroom needs a plumber as soon as possible.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very well located, only 7-10min walk from the Arena. I liked the fact that in case you arrive late and you haven't booked a room you can do it manually in the entrance of the hotel.. The staff was very helpful.. We booked a twin room but we asked for a double bed and they transfered us in a double room without any problem. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable..
Cons: The staff didn't speak English very well but for us was not a problem.

Pros: Immaculately clean and very quite. Easy 15 min walk from the historic centre and both train and bus stations.

10.0 Excellent

7.5 Good
Pros: The receptionist at the hotel was very helpful and went out of his way to help us with parking. We stayed in a secure parking place as we had lots of luggage. The location of the hotel was good and it was an easy walk into Nimes to see many of the lovely sites. The Roman arena is in great condition and it and the other Roman remains are easy to access and see. The modern sculptures and the gardens are worth seeing.
Cons: Although it would seem that the reception area and perhaps the breakfast area have been recently refurbished the room we had and especially the bathroom and shower were much in need of refurbishment.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The patio was a lovely place to sit in the sun.
Cons: An extractor fan in the shower room would have been good.
6.7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice patio/terrace area
Cons: Bathroom left a lot to be desired. Broken shower, hot water took ages to come through.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel perfectly placed to explore Nimes. Lovely little courtyard garden-on the first floor! A perfect place to eat the very substantial breakfast. The undercover garage not only kept the car safe, it also kept it cool ready for our next day's drive. The owner/receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning worked brilliantly. A good find!
Cons: Could do with some "English" style strong tea!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was in a great location - air conditioned as well which was excellent as it was very hot at the time. Staff were very accommodating & lovely to deal with & hotel was amazing, shame i did not have more time to spend there.
Cons: nothing, everything was excellent
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Patio area was a nice space.
Cons: Beds were hard.
7.1 Good
Pros: Historic city centre in walking distance. No significant traffic during the night, quiet room.
Cons: The air conditioning was broken. My credit card was charged twice, card preauthorisation and upon my arrival. It took ten days and two interventions to get the transaction canceled.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfortable bed, hard to communicate with if you are English but that's not their fault.
Cons: Breakfast average, not suited to Australian tastes.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice staff .secure parking.
Cons: Location
7.9 Good
Pros: A warm welcome and helpful staff. Location was within walking distance to all the town centre. there was a lovely outside patio to spend some pleasant time on an evening.
Cons: The parking was a bit of a challenge with specific rules on where each car could be parked ! This meant a lot of manoeuvering.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: All clean, new and comfortable
Cons: The toilet room without a sink
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for us, an easy pleasant walk to both station and old town. Beds were comfortable. Having a bath as well as shower was lovely.
Cons: The fridge was intrusively noisy. Layout of separate toilet, kitchen and bathroom was odd and really inconvenient! No washbasin in the toilet so you have to walk round through the kitchen area to the bathroom (or wash your hands in the kitchen sink which may not be hygienic). The kitchen was in our opinion over-equipped (the room was for 2 people but there was lots of cutlery, crockery, glasses, saucepans etc) which meant no cupboard space for food that didn't need refrigerating. The table was very tiny even for 2 people to eat at.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. We loved having a view of the coliseum.
Cons: The room is smaller than it appears in the photos
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Bathroom and bed
Cons: Reception welcoming a bit cold.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Loved the interior of the building.
Cons: Very difficult to find the hotel and parking was unavailable at the hotel. The split bathroom was awkward as it was on either side and behind the bed, which meant one side of the bed had no bedside table.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and friendly staff.
Cons: Difficult to find the property and difficult to drive in this city.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking
7.5 Good
Pros: Beatuiful hotel with a great breakfast
Cons: The floor of the room was not so clean And the region where the hotel is
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly.Beautiful chandeliers. The medieval building created a nice setting for the hotel.
Cons: The bed was too short and the room too small. We found the shower very annoying because there was nowhere to hang up the nozzle and It was necessary to hold it in one hand.It makes it hard to wash ones hair. I thought the gin and tonics that we ordered were very expensive and not very well mixed either. We could not use our iPad inside the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was quite good for us. The breakfast was amazing! Staff were helpful. Having the shower and the bathtub was really useful for us. The towels were thick and a good size. The room was a bit bigger than many of the usual room sizes. We loved having the balcony too!
Cons: The internet connection was dreadful!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the style of the building and how the architecture has been integrated. I like the room set up with the bathroom and toilets behind the bed. Very warm welcome with a very helpful hostess.

Pros: Great location my room had an excellent view staff very helpful

7.0 Good
Pros: We liked everything except the very narrow beds which made sleeping a real challenge. Otherwise exceeded expectations in every way. Great staff especially the guys on the front desk .
Cons: See above
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location right near the arena. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, quiet, comfortable room.
Cons: Could not get to hotel parking. Street in front was blocked and we did not know an alternate route to get to the hotel parking. had to park in nearby city underground garage which meant we have to drag our luggage up and down steps.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Parking in the hotel car park was easy and reasonably priced. Reception was airy and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very central location, just across the esplanade to the Arena, 20 minute walk to the Jardins and Diana's temple and lots of bars and mid priced restaurants within easy walking distance. Pedestrianised immediate area so no real traffic noise. Tourist bus stop opposite hotel which did a circuit of the city, taking you to all the popular points of interest, but not in service when we were there due to road works. Air con in room was efficient and very welcome as it was baking hot when we were in Nimes. Nice bathroom, lovely toiletries and good hairdryer! Quiet room. Great coffee machine in breakfast room. Free refreshing welcome drink on arrival.
Cons: Breakfast was OK, very limited cooked food, basically just eggs, plenty of bready type things to eat, not worth the 16 euro price. View from bedroom was disappointing, overlooked block of flats and a concrete wall.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fabulous position. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Air con no very good Keys to room terrible. Had to ask for new key every time entering Check in/check very slow
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
Cons: The parking places were small.
6.7 Good
Pros: Convenient location for Nimes centre. There were a few restaurants nearby.
Cons: When we arrived there was a sign saying that their carpark was full, so we had a horrendous time parking nearby. When we checked in we were told there was plenty of space in their carpark, they just hadnt bothered to remove the sign. We ended up paying for both carparks.
Hôtel Abalone - Nimes - Building

A stay at Hôtel Abalone places you in the heart of Nîmes, within a 15-minute walk of Nîmes Museum of Natural History and Prehistory and Old Nimes Museum. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator. Planning an event in Nîmes? This hotel has facilities measuring 753 square feet (70 square meters), including a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The host had very bad attitude, refused to settle the problem with air conditioning on the room, made rude comments, refused to provide another room. Rooms have no air conditioning which make your stay horrible. Only stress in this hotel, especially when the host, which is owner, says "I don't like you" in face!Disgusting, never experienced this kind of "hospitality" if can say so at all. We are convinced that there was more nationality issue, which is unacceptable in France!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very convenient for the station as it's only about 50 meters from the station door. It's about 10 minutes walk to the Arena down a beautiful pedestrian boulevard. The staff were helpful and allowed us to leave our bags before check-in as we arrived about 10.00h. And after we checked out so it was easy to collect them on the way to the station.
Cons: The room was ok but a bit noisy first thing in the morning. The bed was a good size, but did drop slightly in the middle. It was fine for 1 or 2 nights but I wouldn't want to stay longer as the pillows were slightly lumpy as well. Against this it was quite good value for money.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location perfect for a trip to Nîmes, museums and historical sites just a short walk away. There is a lovely park in front of the hotel with waterfalls which are illuminated at night time. There is a little lift which was very handy with all the bike luggage we had. Clean, good WiFi, staff friendly and very helpful. Would recommend breakfast, very good value for money, selection of cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit, bread, croissants, yoghurts and fruit juice.
Cons: Rooms are basic, however you’ll be spending most of the time sight seeing! There is an option of parking, there are only 5 spaces available and it’s down to luck if one is available. We were able to park relatively near hotel though not entirely free. From 9am to 7pm you will need to feed the parking meter.
7.0 Good
Pros: Hotel was very conveniently situated close to the station and the City Centre.
Cons: Room was very small, also too hot on arrival and very noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was a decent size with good facilities, and good value for money, Breakfast was good value, very good location close to train station.
Cons: Can't think of anything - was a pleasant contrast to previous stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the location and a very friendly staff
Cons: The lack of clim was a real problem
7.5 Good
Pros: Proximity to station.
Cons: Noisy and no air conditioning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is right next to the train station
Cons: It was very warm when we stayed and although the room came with a fan it made it difficult to sleep.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was excellent for its closeness to the railway station. This was simportnat as we had an early train the next day. However this did mean that when the trains started early in the morning it felt like they were coming through the room.
