Apart from the lobby, the hotel is a dump.
The rooms are worn down, tiny, and antiquated. There is also a hidden facilities charge that doesn’t make the place a good value.
Perfect location, near all the shows and good restaurants
We waited 30 minutes to check in. Very frustrating after a long day. Then when we were leaving we waited 15 minutes to check out. They need to figure this process out better.
The location and the lobby
The dirtiest, most disgusting room I’ve ever been in. Rust, broken objects, outlets did not work and I found other people’s wads of hair.
The location of the hotel was great, a two minute walk to times square.
For a four star hotel, I would have expected at least a coffee machine in the room. I booked a king bed room, the door didn't work to get inside the room, so they said they didn't have any others available and had to downgrade me to a queen room. In the new room, the heater was soo loud, and sounded like there was some rodent trying to get inside. I called them to get them to either fix it or change my room again. someone came and said they fixed it, but it was exactly the same. was there for 3 nights and had horrible sleeps cause of the loud noise. Seeing as the room was small as well, the only real place to sit was on the bed, so the mattress was droopy in the one spot where you sit making it uncomfortable.
Location to theaters, train, shopping is excellent
Shower had mold and broken tile-didn’t use it
Extremely noisy, filthy
The lobby is very stylish, so it looked promising upon arrival. As soon as I enters the room, the illusion ended
Couldn’t sleep because of the noise. No noise canceling windows, no dark shades. Very filthy. Dirty windows, dirty desk. Stains on carpet and furniture. Impossible to relax in this room
No restaurant in the hotel
Location perfect, bed and leenen verry confortable.
Old, moisture in the bath, carpet every where
The hotel is accessible to most everything and conveniently located.
The bathroom needed a place to rest your bathroom utilities. The sink didn't have any counter space.
Great value, very convenient location to Times Square
Very small rooms
Carpets were very old and did not look very clean...many stains on them. Bathroom was very small but nice.
staff of recepcion.
near the theathers and shopping area
rooms and bath are too small. The rooms dont have closets
The location was perfect. Staff were always available, pleasant and helpful. No need to visit reception to check out, bill slipped through door or last night of stay.
Bed was small. Air conditioning unit was very noisy when starting. Some noise from street outside.
The location was very close to the show that we were attending.
The rooms were extremely small for 2 people with 2 twins room. There was no closet space to hang our clothes.
Atmosphere was great! Service wasn't the best.
Convenience of location to Times Square
The fact that there were no ice buckets available in the rooms, the toilets are very noisy, and that I was charged a gratuity on my account without being forewarned for the complimentary breakfast. The front desk has no way of knowing whether I left a tip or not because they didn't bother to contact me and ask before charging my room
I did not like the room. That was the only place I saw of the hotel.
the room. I did not like it at all. It was too small for the price. The bed was almost at the floor. The bathroom was too small. THe toilet was sideways...Not accesible for use. The spacing and distribution of furniture was terrible. The Tv set was small... NO space at all for the price..
Lobby very open and friendly, Resturant very convenient in lobby. Service very nice.
Location was relatively convenient. Staff is solid.
Rooms are small and fairly poorly equipped. Bathrooms are extremely small (legs out the door small).
As one of the most recognizable destinations anywhere in the world, Times Square is a destination for guests from all around the globe. Filled with personality, New York’s Paramount Hotel is one of the most convenient locales for exploring this iconic destination.
Originally built in 1928, the building has plenty of history. Even though it was remodeled in 1998, it has retained its historic charm, making it one of the more memorable hotels around Times Square. The rooms start at 100 square feet, making them ideal for single travelers with an eye towards value. However, the Paramount Hotel also includes suites that get up to almost 1,000 square feet, perfect for travelers who want a little more space and luxury.
Despite being in the heart of one of the busiest areas in the city, the Paramount boasts a calm and quiet experience. This relaxation is boosted by in-room amenities like a pillowtop mattress, Egyptian cotton sheets, and high definition televisions.
The hotel features the Paramount Café, designed for continental breakfast in the morning and grab-and-go food items through the evening, as well as bar service as night. However, at less than a half mile away from Times Square and the heart of Broadway, hotel guests are just minutes away from a plethora of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Foodies will particularly enjoy the fact that the Paramount Hotel is just steps away from famed Restaurant Row.
