It’s location next to Times Square & how easy it was to walk to lots of the tourist attractions, subways, bus stations, shops, etc. The staff were so friendly, professional & helpful. The staff went out of their way to help us, they never rushed us & sorted out any inquiry we had. Even though we were in the middle of a very busy city it was still quiet during the night & the beds were extremely comfortable.
Thought the security at lifts was a great touch. The cleaning staff were brilliant too, rooms were always super clean. And you couldn't possibly get any closer to Times Square, unreal location.
I assumed everything was paid in full before I arrived like when you book any hotel! Then to be charged a further $160 on arrival was disappointing. City Tax!!! I assumed this was included when booking but seemingly not!
Comfortable bed, lovely food in freidmans cafe
Room very dated, shabby and in desperate need of a revamp! Paper falling off the walls, carpet threadbare, Not worth the money, good location, staff not very friendly.
Great location. Clean comfortable room. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
The bathroom was old and very small.
Hotel Edison is a beautiful, modern hotel situated right in the heart of downtown New York City. Visitors to the Big Apple will relish this top-end art deco hotel as it is within walking distance of Broadway and Times Square. Of course, there is a lot more to see near the hotel then just Times Square. Within the hotel, guests have a few different dining options to explore. The Rum House is an upscale urban cocktail lounge with the menu of a casual tiki bar. While thirsty guests can try just about any drink, the specialty here is decidedly on rum cocktails and rare rums for sampling. Bond 45 is an upscale Italian restaurant that spans two different floors. Finally, there is Friedman's a health-forward eatery that specializes in incredible gluten-free dishes.
The Edison has three different room types: Classic, Signature, and Suite. The Suites are the largest of the rooms with the most amenities as well. These amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary newspapers, Keurig coffee makers, Frette linens, C.O. Bigelow bath amenities, mini fridge, and a crisp 42" LCD flat screen HDTV. All of the rooms can be reserved in either one or two-bed configurations depending on how many guests will be there for the duration of the stay.
