The location was good for Times Square. Walking distance to subway.
Room was extremely small. Dining area small and very crowded with not enough food out at one time. Not enough staff which made for longer wait times at the front desk. Elevator very slow.
Rooms are small (to be expected in NYC) but comfortable, and clean. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hot breakfast was very good, and there was a good variety of things from which to choose. It is located in close proximity of Times Square action, but just far enough off the beat and path for it to be quiet and a break from the hustle and bustle.
Clean and comfortable with helpful and efficient staff. Good value for the money. Elevators are tiny and slow and are shared with housekeeping. Plan time for trips up and down to your room accordingly. If you haven't been to NYC, rooms will seem small, but by NYC standards they are not.
The staff was incredibly friendly and motivated to make the stay at their hotel pleasant. The hotel and my room were both super clean. When I had a problem with my reservation, the woman at the front desk said she would send me a voucher for a free night. That was truly decent of her, but I honestly would have been happier with getting the room I booked.
I specifically sought a king size bed and stopped in at the hotel a few days before my stay to make sure I was getting the room I booked. I also asked not to be near the elevator bc I needed quiet. I was coming in late from work and had to be back early. So when I opened the door to my room, which was right next to the elevator, and saw two queen beds, I was not happy. I really wanted to sprawl out in a big bed, even though I am short. Also, the shower was way too small. This is the second time in a month that a Hilton property (the other was a Doubletree) has downgraded my reservation. I'm a Hilton Honors member -- now I'm wondering if that's code for "abuse this guest."
Very good hotel
Good location. Room is clean.
Small but honest bathroom.
Great views of the Hudson River and the Empire Sta
nice location! plush bedding! secured and quiet! truly enjoyed my stay!
Great staff and very clean
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff and excellent location in Manhatten. Complimentary breakfast.
Wish they did not have bell sound on lift when it reaches every floor. You can hear it at all hours in room.
I enjoyed the cleanliness of both the hotel room and the bathroom. The bed linens were quite comfortable and attractive. The location at 39th and 7th is most convenient for access to shopping, theater and restaurants.
Upon our initial sighting of the hotel, I was a bit disconcerted with the exterior of the building and the lobby area. However, after settling into our room, I was pleasantly surprised.
The staff were always very helpful and the breakfast was very nice and saved us so much time and money rather than searching the city every morning.
I was disgusted by how much I got charged for 3 phone calls totalling 39 minutes in all. It came to $245.50 which is completely outrageous, how can a hotel justify charging this amount such a shame.
Staff at the front desk and breakfast room were very kind and helpful. I thought the "going away" telephone call was very nice.
The room was very small.
rooms are small hotel not so close
The breakfast service provided was excellent. Great choice and variety of fresh food, replenished right up to closing time so no one was left hungry!! The Hotel is less than 5 minute walk from Times Square, but in a quiet area. Subway station and Port Authority Bus Terminal is 2 blocks away, excellent location for shopping!! Hotel recommended an Italian restaurant on W38th St, Cabone I think it was called.....delicious!!
Bit of a dodgy experience with the cleaner moving our shopping bags around. Concierge did however rectify the problem within 10 minutes. Hotel provides black car transfer to the airport. We were told it was same as yellow cab flat fare to the airprt plus toll. Driver tried to charge us more at the airport and expected tip so be sure to clarify the price before you leave the hotel!
Convenience - it had all the points needed to enjoy our stay, it was clean, helpful staff and great breakfast room
I thought that the hotel staff was very accomodating and friendly. I also thought that the room was nice. The location of the hotel was excellent. We were able to walk to many of the main attractions in Manhattan.
It was inconvenient that the hotel did not have a business centre. When I needed to print our boarding passes, we were told to go to the Holiday Inn and the business centre was never available. There were only two computers and they were always in use, with a line waiting. The breakfast was not that great.
The fact that the hotel was very cental to where we needed to be with both the sub and bus station around the corner. Also the fact that if we were still in the area of the hotel we could call back for as much free tea, coffee or hot chocolate we required. Dante Brown the hotel manager James and Allen were all very helpful at all times (I am sure all the staff we never met would have also been the same very helpful too).
Nothing about the hotel, however when booking the shuttle back to the airport for the flight home with Allen and in telling him the time in which we were flying with Delta we only just made it and to learn from this he should have booked us on the one an hour before.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and it had everything we needed.
