Morro de Sao Paulo hotels near First Beach

Pros: 1. The view from some rooms is great. 2. The staff is very friendly 3. The pool is nice and it has a wonderful view. 4. The location is good.

Cons: 1. They could protect more the breakfast, because there are so many bees and insects. 2. Some nights the noise from the boats was really annoying. 3. Once we arrive we were surprised, because the "deluxe" room that we booked had no balcony and in the pictures it has. They explain us that is a mistake and they have deluxe rooms with balcony and without. It was our honey moon and we booked 11 nights, so we had to wait 5 nights (without balcony) and then they made a room upgrade (with balcony). Last night we got the master room. But be careful with the deluxe room, try to be explicit with facilities.

Pros: Everything! Great location, amazing view, wonderful restaurant and friendly staff!

Cons: Bad breakfast, no value for money, extremly noisy, slow staff, didn‘t meet expectations at all, especially concerning the money you paid for, romms are old, shower is cold

Pros: Location was amazing right next to the harbour where you arrive so you don't need to pay someone to take your bags. Also right next to the village center for eateries in the evening and the road to the beach. The pool is nice and clean and the reason we stayed with such a good view. Only the head chef spoke English so all communication needed the aid of Google translate.

Cons: The room was as compact as you could be comfortable in. We only stayed two nights but much longer and it would be a bit too small.

Pros: We stayed in a very spacious room with beautiful views of the small harbour - room was very clean and bed super comfy. And air con was nice and quiet! Pool has incredible views and could have drinks in the pool. Staff super friendly and helpful

Pros: The breakfast was adequate with the right amout of food and abundance of sweet bahian cakes if you are into that. Wifi was excellent if you want to watch Netflix on your computer as the tv channel is limited. The pool is really cute not as big as the photos but good enough for a dip.

Cons: the breakfast could be more fruits and fresh made eggs. The front desk staff could be more friendly and cheerfull. I had a room near the kitchen and office so it is a bit noisy.

Cons: Reported no hot water at washand basin. After 3 days of hearing it will be repaired today I was advised they never have hot water. This despite the notice above the basin warning it can be very hot. I wish. Not for the elderly or infirm. Even if you get a low level chalet the long steep stairs in to town can be difficult.

Cons: Some pool repairs were ongoing which did not really spoil anything and will be excellent upon completion

Cons: Too much stairs until get to our room and the property wasn’t fully occupied

Cons: Wifi didn’t really work, if you are later to breakfast they do not restock the food. Staff don’t really speak english

Pros: The hotel is well located, being both near the docks and the main square. It has a small swimming pool with a view and a good breakfast.

Cons: We were given an old room, somewhat cramped, with small bathroom. The TV had few options and from day 4 onwards, had a fuzzy image.

Pros: View, comfy bed, overall vibe of the grounds.

Cons: You cannot drink water from the tap, but the bottles of water in the fridge are at a cost.

Pros: The staff is fantastic here. They are always ready and willing to help you out with anything you may need. I stayed in the lower "lodge". The room had a door out onto a patio. The lower part is more like a B&B and up into the mountains they have great lofts of various sizes with an amazing view. Nice pool way up in the hill that overlooks the harbor. Great breakfast.

Cons: I went during Carnaval at high season so the prices are really inflated all over the country. On the average it was inline or a little cheaper than most places in town for what it offers.

Pros: Room was big and comfortable, the area on beach number 4 is very relaxing. There is a shuttle service during the evening that was really convenient to go in town.

Cons: We had an issue with the water boiler/heater that stopped working and started to smoke ... a bit scary when you are under the shower. The staff was really helpful and they replaced it within the hour.

Pros: The 3rd et 4th beaches are the best by far Adorable staff who helped us as we had forgotten something in the room Big room, bathroom, hamacs on the terrace Direct access to the beach Small swimming pool but you can have cocktails there and the staff of the restaurant was really nice.

Cons: The swimming pool is not properly IN the poussada but not really far

Pros: The Pousada was wonderful and greatly exceeded my expectations. We stayed in a room overlooking the Third Beach - the room was big, clean and light with it's own balcony and hammock, it was lovely. The breakfast and lunches we ate at the Pousada were also very good. Great value.

Cons: The shower was a bit temperamental but the staff were helpful when we reported it wasn't working properly.

Pros: Great location away from noise from 2nd praia, friendly staff, Monika and Alex were great

Cons: Logistics with the city of the town; breakfasts and also the logistic between the fourth beach and the third beach melaniny the restaurant in there

Pros: The location is perfect. Right on beach number 3. Staff was helpful and breakfast was very good

Cons: The rooms are basic. Shower and bathroom needs some updates

Pros: Far from the crowded area Breakfast was Ok Room clean Many mosquitoes, but rooms are prepared. Bring repellent.

Pros: Great place, in front of a marvelous beach!

Cons: The air conditioning was weak, lighting was quite dim, the phone was not working and the sink was partially clogged. But all these are nothing compared to the great place.

Pros: Frash coconut water all day in the hotel.

Cons: The hotel is located in a remote location and does not offer transportation between 23:00 and 08:00. If you have to check in or check out within this time zone you have to turn around with your luggage. In my case I checked out at 5:30 AM I had to hire a handcart service to carry my luggage across the beach to the port. It was a few kilometers of walking. I also requested the preparation of a snack for departure, since we would leave before breakfast and I was told that it would not be possible.

Pros: Super location. It is close to the port, yet felt part of the jungle, had a cooling wind, 10 minutes walk to Argila beach (beautiful and quiet), yet close to Morro de Sao Paulo town centre and the popular beaches in the other direction.

Cons: Virtually no English spoken by the staff made communication really difficult.

Pros: Sweet staff, beautiful view, quiet location, relaxed place in general.

Cons: Doors that made a lot of noise so you would wake up people. Stairs that wounded your feet due to rock decorations that stuck out. No coffee maker.
