10.0 Excellent
Pros: I couldn't recommend enough, our stay here was incredible! It is a really beautiful place, with amazing rooms inside your own private cabin right on a lovely private beach. The staff were wonderful, and went out of their way to help us. We loved the beach bar and the restaurant and only wish we could have stayed here for longer!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great for a chill out and relaxation, bungalows are well spaced out and not on top of each other... lovely setting. Staff very helpful from start of booking and throughout my stay.
Cons: Small/minor detail overall - rooms lovely equipped but storage space very poor quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked of the comfortable room. The breakfast was so delicious. Everything in menu was excellent. The staff is so friendly.
Cons: I’m not sure if i didn’t like something.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The place is really beautiful, having a pleasant and warm swimpool were you can drink a delicious caipirinha. The rooms are are cosy and clean in beautiful bungalows. But the righlight is for the one of the most amazing beach that I have seen. The beach is protected by a coral reef 1 mile from the coast were you should diving or just visiting by kayak or standup paddle.
Cons: The food is just regular and a bit expensive. Considering that hotel is quite isolated and you can’t go every day eat in the city, the quality of the food deserved a much better attention of the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The whole property is beautiful and the beach is a highlight. Staff is very helpful and friendly, especially at the reception.
Cons: Service at the beach could be more attentive, also breakfast was a slight disappointment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is gorgeous, the staff are the loveliest, whatever we needed they would sort out for us. Jefferson and Messias were specially attentive. The swimming pool is amazing, perfect for lounging or exercising. We are vegetarian and we loved their menu, very varied, lots of delicious options. Everything is homemade, fresh and super tasty. The bed was very comfy. It's a paradise if you want to relax and also just a quick trip to the busy town centre.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all really friendly and helpful, whatsapping before to make sure we arrived and were collected. The property is quite secluded in a lovely way. We did walk to beach 2 and it took almost 2 hours but there are regular shuttles with the hotel. The restaurant was actually really good - we were impressed with the food and the cocktails and it wasn't that expensive. We were worried by the reviews from others before but they were incorrect. The pool area is amazing and in general everything is very tranquil and beautiful.
Cons: The rooms were quite sparse - could do with some colour? Cushions, throws, pictures - anything to give it something a bit more special. But they were big and we slept really well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is simply paradise on earth. We have been exceeded by all our expectations. The pickup at the harbour, the check-in, the house and the whole resort itself were wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly and highly professional and always there for you. For Example, we were on our way to go to the checkout with our suitcases. The gardeners saw this and left everything behind to take over our suitcases. Or ,we had no hot water in the evening. The problem was solved within 5 minutes. We were informed afterwards by telephone. The breakfast is rather in the 5 star category, balanced healthy with different freshly pressed juices, cheese, muesli, a lot of fruit and cakes and pastries. Everything in best quality. The dinner was also fantastic. The price-performance ratio was incredibly good for this quality. We feel honoured to be to spend the night here. We stayed in Villa 01 which is our favorite there (no private pool). Try the coconut icecream! Was for a sunrise run on the beach, this was wonderful and seems to be safe there.
Cons: It's just perfect now, but in the near future the might be come some new hotels in the neighbourhood. Hopefully this hidden gem will not be lost.
7.9 Good
Pros: ...there were too many little things that were not nice that simply don't fit a 4 star hotel at this price. For example there was all black spots around the whirlpool that looked like mold. Same for the little book section at the bar and some white pillows. The cleaning staff went into the rooms while you are at breakfast every day, so you hardly have a chance to deny service and have to wait for them to finish. Yes, staff was friendly, but communication in English is difficult/impossible without Google translate. You do go here for the beach but the water is super shallow for hundreds of yards out. Be aware of mosquito. Yes we are in nature, but again at 4 stars you expect different measurements, like fans or citronella candles at dinner and for sure sealed doors and windows in the villa. There was a big gap between windows and frame. There are more little things that are all very small details that seem not worth complaining about but all together they made for a not totally careful beach experience that you expect at this level.
Cons: The tranquility of the hotel was very nice and we enjoyed doing absolutely nothing there. In total it was a nice stay but didn't meet the expectations of a 4 star hotel, because...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, peaceful and quiet beach and pool . The food is very good and worth the price. The staff was kind. We can see from our room monkey and crabs, that was really authentic .

Pros: Juliette, the owner, is the nicest! We got her whatsapp contact immediately and could always ask her questions. She was super thoughtful and gave us great recommendations for activities and restaurants. Many options for breakfast, which is fresh and nutritious! The pousada’s location is great, as it’s just outside of the crowded center, at the end of a tranquil pathway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Adrian and his family are realy nice and attentive hosts. They went our of there way to make us feel at home. Great accomidation as well. The location was perfect for us 10 minutes to the beaches but far enough not to hear the music at night. Will be coming back:)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great host
Cons: A bit far from beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The People were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fresh, made-to-order but prepared in a timely fashion. Really enjoyed our stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners Perfect breakfast Beautiful apartments built on the hill
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Pousada is very comfortable (we were lucky to be in a room with a nice balcony) and well located in Morro de Sao Paulo - not directly at the center of the island, what then provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere while being quite easy to access everywhere (it is less than 10min-walk to the center, where we find restaurants, bars, etc). Adrian, Marisa and family are extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant. We recommend anyone to stay there during the time in Morro! Gracias por todo, Adrian y Familia! Hasta pronto!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast with local produce and the best coffee I had in Brazil! the relevant advices and good humour from Jose the owner
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful welcome - Jose is a great host - relaxed, helpful & genuinely cares that you have a good time Rooms are clean & comfortable Balcony Hammocks great Hotel is only a short walk to a beautiful quiet beach
Cons: It would be great if there was an outdoor communal area with more hammocks/sofas, perhaps a small bar &/or a dipping pool - so that you don’t have to just chill out in your rooms (& fight over the one hammock!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean; the shower was great; breakfast was delicious; the hammocks were a nice touch; the location is fantastic (it's a 10 minute walk to a deserted, secret beach) and the owner, Jose, and his son, Tadeo, are absolute legends (also, huge thanks to Tadeo's girlfriend who very kindly baked my sister a cake on her birthday). Book now - you won't regret it!
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic welcome and customer service throughout. Josay is Avery open and friendly person and helped us book onward travel.totally obliging with everything, a fantastic host. The place is well situated and peaceful and the breakfast fantastic!
Villa dos Corais - Morro de Sao Paulo - Building
3
9.3 Excellent (617 reviews)

All kinds of water activities such as snorkelling, diving, boats trips and whale watching are available. The facilities include an infinity pool, a steam sauna, games room, fitness area, massage room, beach volleyball court, tennis court, horse riding, a well-equipped boutique, internet access with wireless coverage and regular transportation to the village. In addition there are two top class restaurants, both in idyllic settings. The spacious, attractive rooms come with air-conditioning, satellite television, DVD player, safe, mini-bar and hair dryer. The hammock on the veranda will provide guests with relaxing moments listening to the soothing sounds of the birds and the waves.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Probably one of the best location in Morro de Sao Paulo. Looks like a well-designed and enjoyable resort, very quiet. Stunning view, warm waters. Do not hesitate to go there with kids if the price fits your budget.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Superb oceanfront location. Sprawling grounds were pleasingly landscaped and meticulously groomed. The restaurant menu options were varied and reasonably priced, and overall well prepared. Bed, pillows, linens and towels all fresh, white and luxuriant. The staff was friendly and strived to pleased.
Cons: The idea of a resort is to use common areas and verandas/balconies rather than stay in the room. However, there are times when a guest likes to retreat to the room, and a table and chair or sofa would be appreciated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Laid back, quiet and remote, however a short couple of mins walk along the beach to the restaurants and bars. Gardens and swimming pool are really well kept. Staff are very welcoming. If coming by boat, utilise the free shuttle service.
Cons: Accessing the hotel with luggage is difficult (need to rely on luggage carriers and then the shuttle service).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and good staff
Cons: The transfer starts just at 6 pm
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Pool and the stuf is very nice
7.5 Good
Pros: Great property, good service, very clean and comfortable!
Cons: The restaurant at night was not good and expensive!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All was perfect. We had our honeymoon and all worked really well! The staff welcomed us so nicely and knew about every trip, tour and schedule we had, politely reminding us about our timings and giving us tips, including booking a restaurant for us. The venue is amazing, the pool with a bar, the breakfast so good!!! And is well located too, cozy and calm beach 3, only eight minutes walking distance from beach 2 (where all the restaurants and the city centre are) but also very close to beach 4... Perfect!
Cons: I seriously can't think about anything we did not like about this place... Everything was so good!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. And so was the view from my room.
Cons: It was rainy most of the time. And it s pretty hard to get there.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean secure environment with friendly staff and good facilities. Tranquil beach front location but close enough to the centre to be 10 minutes walk along the beach to the bars and restaurants of the second beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel common parts, the grounds, the pool, the incredible breakfast and food, the helpful and friendly staff, the view, the room, the gym, the location easy walking distance to the town yet far enough away to be quiet and relaxed.
Cons: The constant music playing by the pool and in public areas. I think they should warn guests on their website. They wouldn't turn it off but they did turn it down when I asked and played more relaxed music (and kept it that way for all the days we were there).

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Pousada Villa dos Graffitis in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Second Beach and First Beach. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the rooms are very big and it is in an ally very close to the beach.
Cons: The doors all have gaps so mosquitoes can get in. The breakfast is ok. There are better breakfasts in morro for this price.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice facility with nice rooms and good maintenance.
Cons: Small breakfast and poorly trained staff who clearly show that guests were not top priority. A review of service and housing would be something owners would cost on the breakfast staff. The reception staff were nice and responsive on request. We did not feel welcome and more like we should not be there. We will not choose this hotel for our next trip to Morro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The places were clean and comfortable. The staff were always happy and very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location just a few minutes from the beach at the quite alley, new clean apartments with access to the internal patio with the pool Worth all the money

Cons: No negative comments.
Anima Hotel - Morro de Sao Paulo - Building
5
9.2 Excellent (336 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Anima Hotel in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be by the ocean and close to Garapua Beach. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the massage I schedule during my stay @ the hotel. Also there were really helpful with all services to get around the island - the shuttle and the boat to leave the island. The staff is really great - hands up for the breakfast is incredible! Food is really good the grilled coalho cheese is from heaven! A piece of paradise, def. will have to come back for more.
Cons: I think the could invest in providing stand up paddles, kayak and other activities options for the guests, since the beach is very private and you won't want to get out the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When you arrive at the Anime it feels like you've arrived in Paradise. The food in the restaurant is delicious, the beach is beautiful. It is very peaceful. We walked to the village one afternoon, it took us 100 minutes but the walk was amazing.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Bungalows in the middle of the nature. The staff is helpful and does the best they can.
Cons: It is quite far so it will take 30 min to go to Morro town where there is actually some life. There is a shuttle but the schedule is limited. The restaurant food was just not good, I guess it is pretty hard to manage given the remote location but they should simplify the menu to just 3 or 4 dishes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding location on the beach front about 7 km south of morro de sp. it is very very quiet and peaceful. Great if that is what you are looking for. the restaurant is ok and it is not too expensive, which I greatly appreciate. Breakfast is superb . The chalets are comfortable and are distant from each other offering privacy. Excellent quality beds and lovely rooms Loved having the horses out the front of the hotel and being able to ride down the beach each morning. Therapeutic. R$50 for an hour. Staff are outstanding Overall a wonderful experience
Cons: The pool needs a birthday. Beautiful pool setting but is small and looks cheap and dated. The pool does not match the quality of the premises. THe electrical installations coming into the property and on the property are appalling and need to be fixed. Some of it is dangerous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bungalow bedrooms in a quiet by the sea property. The bungalows don't have a view to the beach as they are in the back of the property. Staff is extremely courteous and speak multiple languages. Breakfast is great and kitchen is good. They offer transfers to-from Morro de São Paulo village and arrange other if needed as well as day trips to local attractions like offshore whale watching or round the island by boat tours.
Cons: It was just what we expected, great value for money, I have no complaints.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All staff is extremely helpful and caring. Facilities are very good. Food and drinks are great!
Cons: Beds can be more comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is welcoming and friendly at all times. The restaurant, open all day, is unbelievable and extremely good value for money. We have tried the whole fish menu, nothing was average. The location is unbelievable. We have had the time of our life.
Cons: WiFi quite slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you want peace and quiet in a paradisiac beach, in a cozy, intimate hotel with only a few guests, this is the place. Large rooms and bathroom in a bungalow in the middle of tropical woods, excelent food at affordable prices at the restaurant and most important of all: staff extremely helpful and polite.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the best place for who are seeking relaxation and contemplation. It's a truly magical paradise!! We love the ambiance, nature (Atlantic forest, mangroves, birds, crabs, geckos, horses...), the private beach - yes, it's a shallow sea, but is warm and clean and we were amazed how the tide changes the beach's visual. It's a small property so we have privacy and was always easy to find chairs in the shade. The service was friendly and attentive - and keep on mind that in Bahia people have a natural slow pace (it's part of their lifestyle, something that was great to experience as well), so no rush to receive our orders. Food & drinks were delicious - we didn't need to go out of the hotel for it. Comfy private bungalow with hammocks. The shuttle to the village works very well.
Cons: Nothing! We didn't want to leave the hotel!
6.7 Good
Pros: Food is good. location is good. facilities are good, though our tv was not working. Its paradise.
Cons: The impression was that a few kilometers to the village made the location very central yet quiet. Perfect in other words. But the road was horrible and made the few kilometers a 25 min rollercoaster ride. Low English language knowledge

Cons: A little bit far from the center, but in a very quiet area

Cons: We thought the place was great but we should have been aware that this place is not located in morro de sao paulo(as the booking.com title suggests). It is in praia de gamboa which is around a 1 hour journey away from morro de sao paulo
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice house, The veranda, looking in the beautiful garden was very nice. The breakfast was very good and little bit af variation each day, different kind of fresh fruits. Delicious cakes. Helpful host.
Cons: the coffe was not good but anyway there was exact two cups of coffe or milk each day, it would be nice if we could have some more, but there was no chance to ask for it. The kitchen could have some new things. a sharp knife and a new pan.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was adequate with the right amout of food and abundance of sweet bahian cakes if you are into that. Wifi was excellent if you want to watch Netflix on your computer as the tv channel is limited. The pool is really cute not as big as the photos but good enough for a dip.
Cons: the breakfast could be more fruits and fresh made eggs. The front desk staff could be more friendly and cheerfull. I had a room near the kitchen and office so it is a bit noisy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful! Great view of the see!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its a wonderful place with gorgeous views from the pool or if you are staying at the top. Lots of stairs but so worth it. I stayed in a spacious room with very confutable bed.

Appartment 403 ist like a dark cellar, price-performance ratio = 0, Service = 0, there are many better pousadas.
Pousada Bahia Tambor - Morro de Sao Paulo - Bedroom

9.0 Excellent (640 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Pousada Bahia Tambor in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Second Beach and Third Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We only know if a hotel and/or a service is good when everything goes wrong and that`s what happened with me. I stayed at Pousada Bahia Tambor for 4 nights with my family (my husband and my parents). In the first night, I realized the AC was not working properly or it stopped working (I do not know) and my bed (extra large) was "sinking" just in the middle (between the two top beds). In the early morning I spoke with Monica (the brunette one) and she said - "do not worry. I will handle it." And she really did! When I came back after two hours everything was working perfectly. Thank you Monica! Btw, there is two "Monicas" working in the reception (a blond and a brunette). And I would like to thank both of them because they are both very responsible and they really work to make this hotel working well. Not only, they are very human persons. The hotel location is perfect - just beside second beach (where the party is), but far enough to have a quite time. The hotel is beautiful, clean, bedrooms are also beautiful and simple. The swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous. There is a bar that they can serve finger food and drink on the swimming pool area. Breakfast was ok. Definitely I would suggest the owner to work on the breakfast. It was not bad, but could be better. And my last advise is - please, please, give your guests Bath salt if they get a a bedroom with bathtub!!! Or at least have it to sell because there is no place to buy Bath Salt in Morro de Sao Paulo. I got a bedroom with bathtub and I was not able to use it. What a waste! I really hope that you listen my advise! Overall I absolutely recommend this charming hotel.
Cons: They have bedrooms with bathtub but they do not have Bath Salt to offer for the clients and there is no place to buy it around Morro de Sao Paulo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the room and the pool are amazing. The breakfast is also very good, made better by helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: All was amazing

Patachocas - Morro de Sao Paulo - Bedroom
11
9.0 Excellent (533 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Patachocas in Morro de Sao Paulo, you'll be on the beach and 12 minutes by foot from Fourth Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A pleasant and scenic place to stay. Grounds are well cared for etc. I think it would be fun for a larger group (more than 1-2 rooms), as it’s a little more isolated for a solo traveler, though the shuttle works fine.
Cons: The airstrip used by Aerostar lands quite closeby. Other arrival types strike me as a bit inconvenient given the majority of the island is pedestrian-only. However, in the centrinho/vila (almost 20 mins by shuttle bc the main road used is unsuitable for speed), this is certainly part of the charm.
5.4 Okay
Pros: There is a nice swimming pool and the animation staff is nice
Cons: Our toilet was broken 2 out of 3 days, flood in the bathroom. One day we were in the restaurant and my husband saw one person of the kitchen who did not wash his hands after being in the bathroom...
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice swimming pool and facilities. Super kind and helpful staff
Cons: Location is terrible. 30min bus ride to the center which is available only every couple of hours
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, excellent breakfast (I simply couldn't stop eating), good restaurant, nice kids programme, transfer to Morro, very comfortable room, great swimming pool... all in all this is a very good place for a relaxing holiday with kids.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent resort, friendly and helpful staff, great activities for children, the room was very comfortable and the beach was also peaceful. I highly recommend it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, amazing staff, great facilities, value
Cons: Flies everywhere apparently only this time of the year. Eating at day time is a challenge. Hotel Transport is an old dirty bus with no aircon. Internet access is none existent in rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is delicious. Large variety of regional food, like Bolo de Estudante, Carima and Manioc cakes. For those not willing to venture beyond their comfort zone, you can enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice eggs and toast.
Cons: Wet bar could improve on drink selection and organization (sharing pens with clients and bartenders who are manipulating fresh fruit for drinks, not a good idea).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really helpful, fun and friendly. The private beach, being away from the crowd was good and there were a lot of activities to be done. The bus that was arranged by the hotel, though bumpy and a bit out of the way was on time and good. Breakfast was really good recommend the omelette station.
Cons: Would have been good to have some traditional dishes in the menu.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet place with beach support and direct access, good food and drinks, nice accomodations. Has water sports rental.
Cons: To access the resort (to and fro) you need to use a bus that takes around 25 minutes to arrive, but, if you're staying only there it ain't a nuisance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool. Kayaks. Quiet beach. Good quality food at fair prices.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, the staffs are very helpful, the breakfast is delicious. They found one small bag with some money inside that I lost in the room and they called me and gave me the money back and I didn’t asked for it. Well done
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, pool in front of the beach located in the middle of second beach. Best restaurants, bars and beach volley around. Reception Staff always great mood, in the beach not much. Nice beach, wines menu, comfortable beds and amenities. I really recommend the hotel and walking around all the 5 beaches I would choose again this hotel.
Cons: Waiter mood in the pool.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfasts with a chef making a variety of eggs, crepes and tapiocas. A good selection of dvds and books that you can make use of during your stay. Good location just by the beach, surrounded by bars and restaurants. We had the superior double room upstairs facing away from the sea and it was great - I imagine the sea view rooms are more noisy as they also face the pool area. The balcony had a comfy hammock and there was even an outside bed with pillows.
Cons: The staff could speak more English and be a bit friendlier.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Not that value. A bit expensive for what they offer like not much facilities offered for that money.

Pros: Beautiful location and great staff.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location is great for the view (but far from the beach). Superb terrace
Cons: Service is barely ok. Bathroom is dirty.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast in the room
Cons: No water free in the room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The wooden deck and great view of the boats at the pier and the sunset.
Cons: Reported no hot water at washand basin. After 3 days of hearing it will be repaired today I was advised they never have hot water. This despite the notice above the basin warning it can be very hot. I wish. Not for the elderly or infirm. Even if you get a low level chalet the long steep stairs in to town can be difficult.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, design
Cons: Some pool repairs were ongoing which did not really spoil anything and will be excellent upon completion
4.6 Okay
Pros: Drinks at the bar if happens to be open
Cons: Might have been a good hotel 10 years ago..now you don't get what your paying for.

Pros: the pousada is in the quieter part of the lovely island, a minute from the beach! beautifully designed, spacious, private great for relaxation! the host Alessandra is super friendly, helpful and speaks great English (and Italian). we did not want to leave...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extra comfy memory foam bed. Hammock. Delicious breakfast cakes. Cute pets.
Cons: Ground floor room means you are woken by kitchen preparing breakfast... but not a problem if you’re into getting up for a morning swim.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location, very close to the beach , the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, the wifi was really good, and the balcony with lounger chairs were a nice addition with a great view of the ocean.
Cons: The breakfast had a lot of bread which I noticed was common. Some of the food was really great butnot a lot of savory options, A LOT of sweets which I didn't really like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, extremely friendly stuff - Alessandra, who speaks perfectly English, has several cutest cats and in general was very friendly! :) Great breakfast as well. Rooms are very well designed, bathroom has hot water and was very clean. Totally recommended.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pousada Mato verde is a lovely family spot, the staff is very welcoming, the food great and it is oh so charming !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Mato Verde was the place me and my friends were looking for, away from the noisy village with a 2 minutes walk to an amazing beach with only few hotels and pousadas around. They offer you a free transfer to and from the village every day in the mornings and in the evenings, so you don't need to spend any extras, unless you're aiming to stay at the village past midnight then you would have to book a taxi or do the 35 minutes walk through the beach which we gladly did in one of our afternoons, going from 4th to 2nd beach. The breakfast is included and has a good variety of breads, cold meats, cakes (chocolate/corn/banana/coconut), juices and a very nice coffee. We had a previous cancellation with another pousada and we are so glad to have found Vila Mato Verde as our perfect spot in Morro. The staff was lovely and in our last night Raonilda cooked us an amazing dinner and left us sandwiches ready for or 5am check out. Me and my friends couldn't be happier with our stay in Morro.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: 1. The view from some rooms is great. 2. The staff is very friendly 3. The pool is nice and it has a wonderful view. 4. The location is good.
Cons: 1. They could protect more the breakfast, because there are so many bees and insects. 2. Some nights the noise from the boats was really annoying. 3. Once we arrive we were surprised, because the "deluxe" room that we booked had no balcony and in the pictures it has. They explain us that is a mistake and they have deluxe rooms with balcony and without. It was our honey moon and we booked 11 nights, so we had to wait 5 nights (without balcony) and then they made a room upgrade (with balcony). Last night we got the master room. But be careful with the deluxe room, try to be explicit with facilities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Views from the restaurant and the infinite pool. Stay there until sunset for amazing views. Drinks (caipirinhas) are very well made and within the same price ranges you find everywhere.
Cons: There's a group of rooms that are in front of the street, next to a very small medical clinic and above the reception. These are very noisy during the morning. Everyday at 7am and 9am I consistently heard lots of people talking. Other rooms are far away, into the cliff side and much more calm, but I didn't get one of those
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing right next to the harbour where you arrive so you don't need to pay someone to take your bags. Also right next to the village center for eateries in the evening and the road to the beach. The pool is nice and clean and the reason we stayed with such a good view. Only the head chef spoke English so all communication needed the aid of Google translate.
Cons: The room was as compact as you could be comfortable in. We only stayed two nights but much longer and it would be a bit too small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful
Cons: Light in the room gives an industrial feel... no bed lights
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Language
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a very spacious room with beautiful views of the small harbour - room was very clean and bed super comfy. And air con was nice and quiet! Pool has incredible views and could have drinks in the pool. Staff super friendly and helpful

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a fantastic time. Hosts and staff were excellent and the view for breakfast was lovely. Right in the middle of the action.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location on the Main Street, but super super calm ! Good breakfast, local style house, comfortable room with a perfect bare terrace. Very nice place !
Cons: Nothing very serious !
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very near the first beach, not too far away from the ferry stop. So it's a win win for location. Also they had a shower that we could use before entering the rooms from the beach. That helped keeping it clean. Staff were friendly too, though none of them spoke English.
Cons: None of the staff spoke English, but that is too be expected in most of Brazil, I have learned. The patio in front of us was big and had a sea view, but on the flip side, it was used as the breakfast area in the morning. So we woke up and opened our door to see people having breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, quiet to get a nice sleep, and close enough from the second beach Really nice place and helpful staff, thank you!
Cons: I would recommend to keep the milk in the fridge at all time, even during breakfast time, as outside temperature is really high, appart from that breakfast was good :) everything was all right, thank you!
7.9 Good
Pros: practical location between the restaurants/“city center” and the beaches. very nice breakfast and helpful staff. i would recommend the pousada! it is no luxury place but has everything needed to have a nice staying in morro!
Cons: generally about morro: if you want to be directly on the beach it is probably better to get a place on the 2nd beach. the “city” is generally a humid place, so there are difficulties in drying your things. it also rains often, shortly but a lot. about the hotel: the rooms are nice but smell a bit like closed and humid. the rooms on the floor of the reception doesn’t have any place outside, while the other rooms upstairs have a small patio in front with a hammock
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and professional people, great breakfast, clean spacious rooms. Really enjoyed our stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the pousada were amazing. The location is really good, really close to the Primeira Praia and a short walk from the Segunda Praia. The ferry pier was also only a short walk away. The room is spacious and the bathroom is modern. The breakfast had an amazing selection of food and the staff will cook eggs and tapioca upon request. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable.
Cons: There was no hot water for one of the showers we had, but the weather was really warm so it didn't make any difference. Also note that the Google Maps location of the pousada is incorrect - you will need to walk along the main street for a bit longer to find it :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, very comfortable rooms and great location...close to the main beaches and the village.
Cons: Breakfast could be a little bit more varied, but this is nitpicking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place very comfortable and at such a reasonable price. the rooms are beautifully decorated with art work. Our host Laura was very helpful and friendly. Great location and a breakfast to suit ones desire!

5.8 Okay
Pros: The view was amazing and there is an amazing tree at the entrance.
Cons: The property is dated and at the moment has a building site in the middle of it which means building material is being spread through the posada. The staff are willing but being stretched by poor management and lack of numbers which again is a management issue.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast but get in early
Cons: Wifi didn’t really work, if you are later to breakfast they do not restock the food. Staff don’t really speak english
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I did not actually stay here but am reviewing on behalf of my parents. They had the deluxe room with the bath on the balcony and it was lovely. Very clean, very luxurious, very comfortable and the view from the tub was lovely. This hotel is right next to the dock where you arrive so unless you have a lot of stuff you could save yourself some money and not use the barrow boys who take your luggage as it really isn't far. And it's just off of central so it's quiet enough but still being a nice walking distance to the town and beaches for eating in the evening.
Cons: There seemed to be only one person there who spoke English. The lady that we dealt with at reception who only spoke portuguese was actually very nice so maybe the 2 star rating for staff was a little bit harsh but i put this based on the restaurant ladies who apparently were no help whatsoever, were not interested in helping out the guests (by this I mean, doing their job), refused to even try and help anyone that didnt speak portuguese (apparently couldnt even understand what Coca Cola meant) and spent the whole time chatting to one another.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is well located, being both near the docks and the main square. It has a small swimming pool with a view and a good breakfast.
Cons: We were given an old room, somewhat cramped, with small bathroom. The TV had few options and from day 4 onwards, had a fuzzy image.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: View, comfy bed, overall vibe of the grounds.
Cons: You cannot drink water from the tap, but the bottles of water in the fridge are at a cost.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, size of the room, jacuzzi.
Cons: The housekeeping. 3 days without new towels
7.9 Good
Pros: Then hotel is great location great staff only few stention to details of cleaning was missed but over all we love it
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is fantastic here. They are always ready and willing to help you out with anything you may need. I stayed in the lower "lodge". The room had a door out onto a patio. The lower part is more like a B&B and up into the mountains they have great lofts of various sizes with an amazing view. Nice pool way up in the hill that overlooks the harbor. Great breakfast.
Cons: I went during Carnaval at high season so the prices are really inflated all over the country. On the average it was inline or a little cheaper than most places in town for what it offers.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The view is spectacular! And it’s of course awesome to have an own whirlpool on your balcony
Cons: The whirlpool smelled when switched on as did the A/C The interior was done with little love, almost no decorations, no light concept. No safe in the room. Bathroom had some molding spots in the shower and no sanitary items. Staff at breakfast was not interested in making guests feel welcome and mostly hiding in the kitchen if not they sprayed cleaning solutions on the fruits to scare away flies. WiFi mostly wouldn’t give you access to the internet. New rooms are currently being constructed which comes with some noise. All in all just way too less for 660 BRL per night and thus a very disappointing experience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing, always welcoming and smiley. Made a real effort, especially Luan when we checked in! And there was another lady but we didn’t catch her name! Thank you for your service :) good internet connection, clean, comfy rooms, cute swimming pool area with deck chairs. One of the highlights of this property is there is a private door leading onto an avenue that takes you straight to the beach!! Definite recommend
Cons: Breakfast had some variety but a bit basic, maybe due to low season?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its was clean, the breakfast great, the pool is nice
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Too much noise early in the morning from the street outside were cars and trucks start they work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good!!
4.6 Okay
Pros: the location is good. only 5 min walk from beach # 2
Cons: the stuff don't speak one word in english and they were rude! the pousada looks much better in the pictures. the rooms are "tired" and not maintained well. the rooms have 2 floors with very steep stairs - very uncomfortable. the ac doesn't cool the lower floor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Greate location, clean, nice staff, good breakfast
Cons: Standart room is a bit small
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice place
Cons: If you want to extend the nights you must to do it online because they didn’t have any free rooms. So because of this every day they change us the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, good vibes, nice staff, good internet
Cons: Standart room is very small but its fair for a couple
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice bed and size of room. Breakfast. Staf.
Cons: Noice from road. Room without av is varm. Road to hotell not the best.
6.0 Good
Cons: The room was kind of small and the breakfast wasn’t that good,
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely placed with direct access to a small lane leading strait to the beach. It is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is nice and people very nice and helpful.
Cons: Rooms are very clean and comfortable but the hotel is a bit squeezed in between buildings that mean there is no view at all looking out of the windows. If you don't speak Portuguese (was my case) it could be a bit difficult to communicate properly with the staff but we get used to in Brasil, that part of the charm
