Rented car was at least 10 years old. Full of scratches everywhere. Had 100,000 km or roughly 65,000 miles on the odometer. Sixt does not have a counter in the airport. You need to call them. Pick up service from the airport was OK Although the transport vehicle was I think 15 year old van that was scratched up and dented. And returning the vehicle it’s almost impossible because no signs are posted anywhere for returning vehicles. Awful experience. Nobody speaks English.

Car brakes made a loud noise. Very uncofortable, but I was too far away to go back and exchange the car. Office hours start at 7:00 so, if you have an early flight on your way out, you may have some troubles returning the car.

Cons:

I made the reservation one month ahead of the trip, received my confirmation number and some remainder the day before my flight. Pick up time was 11 pm but when I arrived at 11:20 pm they were closed. The explanation I got 2 days later was : We close at 11 pm but our website needs to be updated.

Cons:

Bait and switch. My rental went from $100 to $1200 with all the extras they added without telling me. They didn’t have the class of vehicle I reserved so they charged me $200 more for the next size up. Charged me $85 for something called premium service which was NOTHING. Vehicle was beat up, and had over 100km on the odometer. Won’t rent from hertz again. I truly felt scammed.

Staff was friendly, but it would be nice if someone could speak a little English. My Spanish is not too good.

Cons:

Signs for dropoff are very confusing. Hertz should put its own sign out on the airport highway.

Cons:

They lied on pickup that having rental cars insured was a law when I asked not to get insurance. They said they would not give me the car without insurance. So I paid more than the original amount.

They didn’t even have the car we had booked or any other SUV whatsoever. We had to go to the counters of every car rental company at the airport to find a car last minute and we have 3 little children. Unacceptable.

Good experience, BUT only after locating actual car rental company--which is not under name Economy. No sign or anything at Monerrey baggage claim. Instead had to ask around where are, how get to pick up.

On arriving in Baggage Claim, there was no set up at all for Economy...no contact phone for pickup (only in my booking info a local telephone number to call...and on arrival my phone didn't work for Mexico). When was able to call, turns it Economy operates under another name.

They advertised as ‘in terminal.’ Only after I booked They clarified they are actually far from the airport. I had a short time so couldn’t risk the long shuttle. When I asked for a refund they were entirely unhelpful and I ended up wasting $50 because of their bait and switch advertising.

Airport pick-up was slow, waited at the car rental terminal for a very long time, system was very slow and the staff took their sweet time as well to process the paperwork. None of the staff could speak English, not even basic, making it very difficult to communicate. I purchased insurance as well as part of the booking, however the car rental office said that the insurance was not valid and they forced me to taking additional insurance on top that collision damage & 3rd party liability insurance i paid for on the website when booking. the insurance ended up becoming very expensive due to additional insurance and fees paid at the time of rental. Took me 2 hours and ~$70 USD in addition to get the car rental for the 9 hours that i needed it i Monterrey. definitely a very bad experience, would think twice before booking again with Europcar.

We waited at the airport for more than an hour to get picked up after speaking with an agent and being told multiple times someone would be there within 5 minutes. Calling the rental agency took multiple attempts because the line would disconnect. We told the agency we had 5 passengers and they sent a driver in a sedan to pick us up so we had to sit on laps in the backseat to fit. It would have been faster and cheaper to wait until our flight landed and go through Avis or another airport rental agency (we know because after an hour of waiting we began the process of renting another car but stopped because the pickup managed to arrive). When we spoke with an officer at the airport to figure out where we should go, he and another shuttle driver said they had never heard of this rental agency and that we were being scammed. Once at the office to sign the paperwork, they added on an additional $140 USD charge that was not communicated previously.

Nobody was at the counter to direct anything nor did anyone pick up when the airport information desk called the agency. Needed to rent with someone else. Unbelievably poor service

Pick-up took too long. There were unexpected (negative) surprises such as a costly insurance necessary to rent. Ultimately paid twice what I expected. Return was swift but they wanted to charge for gas (luckily I had a picture of the gas reading at pick-up).

Pros:

The staff was not helpful at all with my experience. The clerk at the counter refused my reservation because he claimed the system read my licence to be less than one year old and when I explained here it was a renewed licence he just said there was nothing he could do. When I explained to him I had just rented a car in the US with national and that I am 40yo, that in Canada licence are renewed periodically he just refused to do something to help on the situation. Then I requested him to use his land-phone to call anyone in Avis Corp to help he simply refused. When I asked to talk to his supervisor he refused and proceed to cancel my reservation.

Cons:

Train the Clark to help the customer. Make modifications to the Avis rental system to understand what a renewed licence is

Cons:

I reserved a car with Advantage, but once there I was directed to Europcar, which didn't honor the reservation and tried to charge me 4x the agreed upon rate, plus demanded that I buy full coverage insurance from them. I cancelled the reservation and took an Uber instead. All this reflects poorly on Kayak, felt like a bait and switch.

They didn't give me the car. A terrible service, I lost my money, they wanted to collect a deposit of $50,000. Never again in my life would I even think of renting a car with them. You should evaluate continuing to have them as suppliers since they can ruin your image as a service company.

When I arrived in Monterrey, Mexico I called them and they said a driver was on their way to pick us up. 30 minutes later they called and said they did not have a car for me to rent and that I had to call my rental agency to cancel or I would still be charged.
