Cheapest option in Marseille, location wasn’t so bad
Cleaning, shower, wifi, etc...
The employee wouldn't let me use the wifi in the lounge.
I was passing through Marseille and needed a place to stay for one night. It was comfortable.
As a woman I wasn't 100% happy with it's location - I didn't like walking there from the train station at night. When I was arrived, one of the other ladies in my room told me to be careful with my things as some of her stuff had been stolen in the room.
Location is good. Close to metro station and docks.
Hostel itself though looked like an old building, requiring maintenance. The hostel room was small. Bed was making noise with slightest move. It was a bunk bed with loose metal frame. Partly broken. Kitchen was small. It only accommodated a fridge and a sink, with utensils lying around. There was stuff lying around all over the hostel. Doors were obstructed with someone's luggage(which BTW stayed there for 2 days at least) or dustbins, with narrow space to move. Toilets were the smallest they could build. No hot water. Bathroom didn't look clean. Lockers were broken, some without locks. They didn't gave me one for my stuff. Had to keep everything on my bed. Staff doesn't speak English so be sure you have all the information you need, like reception closing-opening time, door codes, breakfast menu etc.
Nice people at the reception. Nice guests. Excelent location.
Lack of cleaning. The quality of the bathroom.
