Near train station .late check In
Strange area during night . U can’t sleep with window open if u have front Main Street room . Noise
Bed was comfy. It was great to have air con. Shower was great. Location was just off the centre so quiter but still close to city sites and St Charles station, easy to find./get to and from. The gem was having breakfast outside. Very relaxed, helpful staff.
Using the toilet is a bit of a tight squeeze for larger people.
The people working there are so friendly
-The restroom was a little bit small. - There is not separated bed
I really liked this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was great. I particularly enjoyed the outside courtyard and garden - it is open until about 10pm and I had it entirely to myself one whole evening which was lovely and very relaxing. It was really helpful that I was able to check in early and leave my luggage there on the day I checked out. It's so close to everything including the bus station, train station and old port and it made everything so much easier. The rooms were bigger than some I have experienced whilst travelling, the air conditioning worked great which was brilliant as it was so hot. Beds were comfy, toiletries, hairdryer and towels all provided and the breakfast was good value too. I would happily book this place again if I come back to Marseille.
The room I was in was quite noisy - not with the noise from the street but with noise from other people in the hotel. The walls seemed pretty thin and I was woken up on a few occasions by people either returning, talking loudly in the corridor or checking out and packing very early (3.30) in the morning. There was no lift in the property which wasn't a problem for me but is something to consider as there are quite a few floors. A slight downside is that there are no facilities for tea making or storing cold drinks or food etc. in your room.
Although there was quite a language barrier between us, the hotel understood the dietary needs of one of the part. They were also able to adjust accommodation needs due travel disruption and also able order a taxi as we had issues with wifi access (our phones more likely the reason)
As we were not aware of Marseilles itself the location was possiblly just beond the fringe of the tourist area, but they takes nothing away from the hotel itself.
