Pros: Breakfast was good but not included and very expensive at £25 per head per day. Big pool area was noisy with kids. It might be beneficial to designate one of the pools as a kids pool. It was a daily race for the sunbeds (nice loungers for two) but this can perhaps forgiven as it was a very busy period over new year. Hopefully it is not like that all the time. Room was very comfortable and exactly what we expected.

Cons: Service was not amazing nor the check in experience. The lobby and check in area is very small area for such a large hotel. Staff were not overly friendly or helpful but none the less adequate- again maybe this was down the hotel being full.

Cons: Breakfast service shambolic Most staff with the exception of one of the concierges were surly and unhelpful. The room wasn't cleaned until 5pm each day and they entered even when you asked them not to. After cleaning the room using the same cloth to clean all surfaces they returned 10 minutes later for turn down service. Service very slow.

Cons: Hard to fault but if I were very picky I would say noise inside the room that comes through the room door (that’s from adjacent rooms and guests, room service and cleaning trolleys).

Pros: My booking was upgraded and I got huge Suite for 2 nights. Little bit old but absolutely perfect hotel. Sofitel Lounge and Spa is more new than Sofitel Palais Imperial. Both hotels are placed in one location. In Sofitel Palais Imperial is best service ever! The staff is welcoming and friendly, everyone smiles at you and goes out of their way to make your stay perfect. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very good spa. Very good indoor and outdoor warm pools. Many thanks for waiters near pool Mrs. Karima and Mr. Muhta! And specially thanks for manager Mrs. Iman! It was pleasure to stay in your hotel!

Cons: What I did not liked it is when you go to the badroom there is no light by the toilet and shower only in the middle what is not enough because in the toilet it is dark. It gave a really bad smell. Also their are small streets that can scarring you but not mentioned on internet. Breakfast is not the moroccan breakfast, thea was not delicious but that’s my taste and you get a small crêpe what’s tell you do not eat me. Sorry but €152,40 is really not worth for 2 nights for this riad.

The staff is super welcoming and helpful, always smiling, also with our two (noisy!) children. Breakfast was excellent, different each day (moroccan pancakes, crepes, eggs, fresh bread, almond cake, and lots more). The last night we had dinner, too, and it was the icing over the cake: Healthy chicken tajjin and steamed vegetables, a nice red wine and a delicious crème caramel, in a relaxing atmosphere: the best way to end a chaotic shopping day in the souk. Position is excellent: 15 to 20 minutes walk from main touristic attraction, and 2’ to taxi spot. Absolutely to recommend, I would definitely visit again.

Room and bathroom felt chilly (end of November) as heating did not work. The terrace feels vacant and there was no offer for advertised "hammam and a heated pool". No umbrellas to share for rainy days.

Security concerns is on high level, and there is security personal. A young man on the second floor, in the front of elevator, who is there during day is especially friendly. The room was also super quiet which considering we were in the middle of a busy shopping district is nothing short of amazing. Heated outdoor pool was a bonus and Jihad in the kids club was excellent. Even when she had only a couple of kids she was engaging and energetic.

Cons: Elevator is in my opinion most stupid elevator which I experienced in my life. One elevator bring you up to 2 floor, and then you should go outside, change elevetor, and took second from floor 2 to 5. Very inefficient. Reception staff is good, but not especially efficient. The young guy on the check-in leave us to speak what we arranged, and then despite that, send us in the room, which we didn't wanted (.. and we had spoken about 15 minute how we don't want this type of room). This is to some degree arrogant. There was also another young lady with the name K...who should work as guest relation agent. She didn't properly respond to our mails, inquires etc. This is in our opinion unprofessional. The breakfast is good, but there is ratio between Moroccan food and typical hotel food for breakfast 95:05 in favour of Moroccan.. so be prepared for it. During breakfast, there is no fresh squeezed orange juice (what is actually very cheap in all city), and in my opinion they offer some juice mixed with water. Also, quality of caffe is discussable. In overall, this is not 5* hotel for sure. But good option to stay in Marakesh. In the room amenities are very poor, 3*level. For example, toothpaste, toothbrush is missing etc.

Cons: There were 2 doubles and 1 twin reserved, At arrival there were only 3 doubles. We asked for at least separate beds in one of them. At dinner we asked again to do it. Eventually they did, but only separated the 2 beds without adding another blanket ad sheet to the other bed!!!??!!!... The dinner was fine but in general the feeling in the end was that we stayed in a RIad that is managed like part-time job. Staff always changing. The rooms were impossible to lock with a key. Anyone could just open them. Something you wouldn´t expect from a 300€ plus stay for one single night

Cons: I was very upset about how I was treated initially when I turned up with a Moroccan friend. He was treated appallingly as a second class citizen. He essentially wasn't allowed in the hotel.

Cons: When check in and you meet Hussein take care (he is not onset ) he tried to down grade our room and made us wait for more than 30 mints and then he gave us a room Tween bed while our booking Double bed,,, after compalining and waiting for another 30 mints he gave us a room with no remote control for TV , coffee machine not working and safety box close. After 2 nights from calls especial thanks for Mr. Essam where he solved this issue.

The hotel staffs arranged for a birthday treat for my wife at a very short notice, they arranged for flower petals on the bed and birthroom, Birthday cake with few staffs already waiting for us in the room and some of the staffs ecsorted us to the room to sing happy birthday to my wife and they gave my wife a present. Simply Amazing! Shame I forgot the names of the 3 female staffs at the reception that pioneer this for me at short notice. The hotel was clean with enough toiletries. We forgot to bring adaptor for our electrical appliances, the hotel staff gave us one to use throughout our stay. I have already recommended the hotel to friends.

Cons: This is not a 5 star hotel! It is soo outdated and not well kept. Our room was an absolute disaster. Maybe if we went back to 1990 it would be a good idea to stay there, but now.. Avoid it. Walls are scratched, very old dirty furniture. Bathroom all scratched and dirty, shower head and curtains are the most crappy amd cheap ones. In 5 star hotel, you have to pay extra 15 euro to use the pool. There was a party till 3:30 am and we could hear everything.

Cons: The state of the room, everything is old and in bad state. The wardrobe, the dresser, the table, the drawers, the bathroom door are all in bad state. And even the bathroom door handle was broken. I can provide pictures. The hotel looks nice from outside, especially the swimingpool, the restaurant and the breakfast. They are all very good !!! The decoration of the hotel is beautiful. But as I said inside the room everything is in a bad state.

Cons: Staff not really friendly - had to wait about 15 minutes to check in although we arrived about 4 o'clock. Nothing in the room - no leaflet, no information about the hotel, no telephone numbers for the parts of the hotel. The bathroom is horrible - no light in the shower. No shelf to put your toiletries, it gets flooded when you have a shower. To reach them you have to go through the toilet part. Food not really good - no fruit and very limited range of things for breakfast. If you decide to have dinner there are very few things to choose from. No room service. Room too small for a person in a wheelchair although disability access is good.

Cons: The food generally was disappointing, to a non-Morrocan anyway. No fruit at all, and salad for breakfast did not appeal. Much of the food (all buffet) was cold or luke-warm despite being served in the standard steam-heated containers. The plates were always stone-cold, which didn't help. The dining room was badly run, and the staff - although very willing - simply didn't think about how a table should be prepared and presented. When the only bread-knife vanished and no-one could locate it, it did make cutting a baguette or a roll difficult.

Pros: We had a very enjoyable stay at the Semiramus, but an hour after checking out, I realized I'd left my wedding ring in the bathroom of our room. We went back and spoke to the staff and then talked to the housekeeper crew. They said they never saw it. My wife and I are 100% sure it was in a glass by the bathroom sink. I told the housekeepers that the ring is not valuable and only really ha sentimental value. I offered to pay them a good bit more than the $40 ring is worth. But they continued to say they hadn't seen it. We were distraught about it.

When one of my daughters was too sleepy to come down for breakfast, the staff offered to take it to her room.

Cons: It is sad to see a property with such potential to be in such poor condition... this would have been a prime hotel twenty years ago, but it is in dire need of refurbishment... It also needs a manager to walk around the property and manage staff that seems to demoralised and utterly bored. We are in 2020 for heaven's sake, not in 1990...

Cons: AVOID AT ALL COST Terrible experience. Dirty rooms with used towels and bedsheets. Very cold, and AC not working. Broken shower. MUSIC AT NIGHT from a club (in the same hotel) until 3 Am, impossible to sleep. Dirty dishes at the restaurant.

Cons: First of all the door of the hotel is nasty looking and the security door is broken, the WiFi doesn’t reach the room at all and it very bad, the rooms smells awful, the pool area looks like it’s been through a hurricane that’s how nasty it is, the food is terrible, the sheets and towels look grey or yellow not white and not clean, the bathroom looks disgusting and the tube rusted and curtains are broken and nasty, the flors are so dirty and the tile is broken everywhere. I had the worst experience ever with this hotel.
