Malmö hotels near Malmö Opera House

Cons: The property had pornographic pictures in the halls and in our room. It was explained this was a contracted photo exhibition completed by a famous French photographer. We chose not to stay at this property. They were kind enough to grant us a full refund.

Pros: The flamingo, beautiful courtyard, excellent breakfast buffet and super comfy beds

Pros: It was my husband‘s birthday and the guy ( Ridwan) from the reception really gave his best as usual ! Actually we came back because of him he made our recent state outstanding So we really wanted to come:))

Cons: Again the breakfast ... that was the only thing we didn’t like both this time and the time before! It’s very limited yet good quality!

Pros: It’s an Ess-hotel so decore, bar and restaurant are expected to be of top quality - and all are. Nice vibe and probably best hotel in Malmö.

Cons: The small things- Instant coffee instead of Nespresso in room, no room service (?), only one copy of one local newspaper (!) at breakfast, impossible to find out how to vall reception from room. Needs some fine tuning to be a real top hotel.

Pros: Very vibrant hotel- great place for a meal or a drink in the bar. Beds very comfortable. Easy walk from the train station and easy to get around Malmo from the central location.

Cons: This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but some of the facilities in the rooms need a bit of upgrading. There are wires everywhere behind the bedside tables from lamps etc and this looks a bit messy. The tea/coffee making facilities in the room could be better- a kettle and packets of freeze dried coffee is all you get. This is the standard I would expect in a 3 star hotel or a bed and breakfast. The rooms aren’t cheap and so I think these touches would make you feel a bit more valued as a guest. We stayed in a superior double room- this is described on the hotel website as having a view but ours looked directly out onto the wall of the next building.

Pros: A well designed, boutique hotel in the middle of old Malmo with a fantastic breakfast!

Pros: The hotel has a great location, a short walk from Malmo's main train station and also within the popular Lilla Torg area. There are good restaurant and bar options around. The hotel room was very comfortable and was a good size. Breakfast was delicious, and such a wide spread!

Cons: The one issue I had was the shower. It was on the smaller size and had an awkward half-door type of enclosure. Unfortunately I did not take a pic but it can be seen on the website. This door wasn't very effective in keeping the water in and I had to put more than one towel down to keep the floor dry and non-slippery.

Pros: Late check out on Sundays is a fabulous idea. The breakfast was good and the bed comfortable.

Cons: The hotel just hasn't aged well, it looks like something resembling a Polish ferry-boat. Pay the same rate at the hotel right across the street and you will have a much better experience.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, the breakfast buffet was good, and the ice machine was an unusual treat -- something I haven't run into elsewhere in Europe.

Pros: Great location, quiet, bed was very comfortable, room was big and clean, love they had wireless chargers for phones and a good makeup mirror, the details do it! Breakfast was great with a huge variety to choose from. Will be back.

Cons: During our stay of three nights in the more hotel Malmö, our laptop has been stolen from our hotel room. There were no signs of break-in, so the thief must have had access to the hotel rooms. As there had been no cleaning in our room and as, besides, we had put the sign “please don’t disturb” at the door of our room, normally nobody should have entered the room. Aside from the complaint at the police office, we informed the hotel about the theft and asked them to analyse the data of the cameras and of the electronic key card system (doors of the hotel rooms). But unfortunately the hotel was not cooperative and refused to analyse the data and to clarify the theft. They didn’t assume their responsibility and suggested that we had lost our laptop, which is not the case. The stay in the more hotel Malmö was the worst experience we ever had in a hotel. The loss of our laptop spoilt the end of our holidays and occupied us for days afterwards. This is why we can’t recommend anyone to spend their holidays in this hotel.

Cons: I arrived very late in the evening. When I arrived the ventilation unit was making a lot of noise, I called reception and was told this is normal that after check in it ventilates for 30 minutes and that I just had to wait. Half an hour later (it was now already after midnight) I called again and they finally send somebody to come and check. Because it was not normal they moved me to a different room. This ventilation unit was not making a lot of noise, but had a high pitch beep. The solution I was provided with where earplugs. In the morning I was happy to see that the breakfast was big and they had a separate table full of lactose-free and gluten free options. Unfortunately, most of it was already gone and it was just 8:00 in the morning.

Pros: great place for a week-end trip. Close to everything you need. very nice room and super breakfast buffet. defenitely a hotel to recommend.

Cons: The rooms were too small especially the bathroom. Besides, there was no refrigerator in the room. You have to go down to the bar to get ice at all time.

Pros: The food was quite varied. And we loved the offering of so much fresh fruit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very central to the train station, restaurants and shops. Most of all, the room was quite large. And the multiple elevators meant we hardly waited to go to or from our room.

Cons: The floor in the dining room by the drink stations was sticky two mornings in a row. Ugh. But food was tops and food serving areas were kept refilled and cleaned as needed.

Pros: This hotel has a very nice breakfast and friendly staff. The room I received was getting worn out, mostly in the bathroom with stained towels.

Cons: Good dinner, but very light, without too many choices. No fridge or AC in the room. The room had no balcony and the window was facing towards an internal closed space, with a bar and some noise in the mornings if you slept with the window opened. You could see the other rooms, there was little privacy. Also there was an ugly smell on the hallways...

Pros: The owners were really nice and friendly, the location is good, the rooms and the bathrooms are spacious, the beds comfortable.

Cons: The common areas, the kitchen especially were dirty. Sticky dirty. Those cupboards, the fridges, the shelves haven't been cleaned in ages. Inside and outside. The windows, the doors were dirty as well. Which is a shame, because the apartment is spacious and really nice, but the overall image was spoiled by the sensation that something will come out of the fridge if you open it. Dust everywhere, the windows frames etc. The place needs a serious and thorough cleaning.

Pros: This hostel is similar to apartments. Rooms are designed for two or three people, and there wasn't extraneous guests in our part. Comfort and cleanliness are excellent. The kitchen is convenient for cooking. The was all necessary equipment. Refrigerator is spacious, so everybody has own place.

Pros: Early check in was possible before lunch time; very clean and proper managed. Was close to my conference venue. Had room on the silent backside.

Pros: The staff are really kind, helpful and accommodating (even prior to our arrival). The place is just next to the bus stop where the bus from/to the airport stops, so it makes it very convenient, not having to drag your bags all over town. It is exceptionally clean, feels very safe and it is never noisy. Very comfortable beds. Within walking distance to the old part of town. And you can fill up your part of the fridge in the nearby Lidl :)
