Staff were very friendly and because we’d stayed we’d be bringing a travel cot for our baby they upgraded us to the annex so we’d have more room. Short wall to the wall and the pool was a welcome addition. Comfortable bed, good shower and AC. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant for dinner but does do light snacks. We arrived hot and tired on a Sunday after a wedding and the staff ordered pizza for us which was just what we needed. Really pleased with our stay!

The rooms are exactly as pictured, the space is beautiful and conveniently located just outside of the city walls. They provided solid recommendations and easy bike rental and quickly accommodated a last minute late check out request. Perfect for a relaxing, no stress stay.

Cons: The electricity and plumbing are old and don't work well. It was extremely hot and too loud to sleep with the window open. They said we couldn't turn on the air conditioning and didn't offer a fan. We were up all night hearing the people above us. The complimentary breakfast gave us food poisoning.

The room was a dream, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom new and high quality and everything was very clean. The staff was very friendly. The choice for breakfast was also very big, you didn't miss anything. I also really liked the roof terrace. The location was more than perfect to explore Lucca. For excursions the train station was also only 10 minutes walk away, and bus stops were also close to the hotel. All in all, a couple of wonderful days in Lucca - not only because of the beautiful city, but also because of this very good hotel. You can also rent bicycles for free in the hotel! If I come back to Lucca, I'll stay at that hotel again.

Pros: Initially we were in a basic room, which was adequate, but there was a problem with the door lock and so they were extremely helpful and moved us to a much better room, and we had a great stay in beautiful surroundings

Pros: The hotel was outside of the town (however, still walkable), had a big car park and a pool. It was a quirky design and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom in the room was very big and our room had a lovely big balcony we could sit on. The gentlemen at reception was really friendly.

Pros: Villa Corte Degli Dei is a really pleasant little B&B just outside the city walls of Lucca- you can walk into town in 15 minutes. The whole place is done in a somewhat quirky/ lightly camp style. Some people may find the rooms a little dark but overall that just adds to the cozy atmosphere. In addition the hotel has a beautiful garden and pool where you can relax after exploring Lucca. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. We would love to come back.

Cons: Please be aware - and they do make it clear on booking the reception is not manned 24 hours therefore you need to let the hotel know when you will arrive.

Cons: Location just on highway, rooms super small, no place to put a luggage, beds are hard and no extra blankets, balcony one foot wide. You can walk to old city, but along highway, smell the gasoline of passing by trans. Advise, find a better place.
