Longview staff excellent and helpful, car was in terrible mechanical shape, and left driver stranded alone on a dark stormy highway for hours, undriveable. No roadside assistance given. Later, car locked itself while running with keys in ignition, locksmith finally found by a relative, car unlocked and driver charged $120...These issues happened in the Leesville area, over the weekend, and the Leesville office refused to help her. She ended up having to pay 544.00 for repairs to the rental in order to be able to drive safely back to Texas.Cons:

The longview location is dirty and off putting. Will never rent from there again. The car itself was just ok. We used it for a cross country road trip and it was pretty uncomfortable. We found a precious passengers lease agreement in the glove box, so not a very thorough clean. The fees that Hertz charges is absurd. I typically use Enterprise but Hertz was cheaper for this specific trip. Won’t make that mistake again. Too many hidden fees. $6.95 per toll fee on top of the toll itself....Enterprise charges no extra fee. $9.99 per gallon for gas is absurd. Enterprise something like $3 per gallon.
