Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's excellent location, making it convenient for exploring the city and accessing public transport. The staff received positive remarks for being friendly, helpful, and attentive, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, cleanliness was a recurring concern, with several guests mentioning issues such as unclean rooms, unpleasant smells, and insufficient housekeeping. Bed comfort and room size also received criticism, with some guests finding the beds too hard or uncomfortable and the rooms smaller than expected. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's value for money and proximity to attractions were appreciated.

The hotel was in a good central location. The hotel is tired and in need of some renovation. The corridors had a stale smell and could have done with a good clean. The room was very small and the furniture was old and should be replaced. No handles on furniture. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was not good. Sink overflowed onto the floor and shower blocked.

Pros (+) The only good thing about this hotel is that it had good black out curtains. However they were still velcro and stuck to anything that brushed past them.
Cons (-) There are a number of things we were not informed of: How to work heating so we spent first night trying out each setting to see what one would warm up the room The shower being broken The building work going on The inside shower door doesn’t open properl The lift was temperamental We specifically booked a Superior King room and received 2 single beds pushed together with single sheets to match.
