Cons:

We were very disappointed that some crucial information is not shared with the customers. We were not informed that every kilometre has an additional fee. We were renting a car just for one day and the overall price ended up being twice as much from what was promised on the day we picked up the car.

Clean small car.

Cons:

The staff seemed annoyed when asked to assist on driving the car from its parked location in the garage which seems obstructed by another rental vehicle. Car was an automatic, but it was not explained that the car can also be placed in a manual mode. In the USA a car is either one or the other. Ok

Car was great! Clean and very modern with all the latest security features.

Cons:

At the pick up station they didn't check the car for damage. The place was dark and I didn't realize that it had a huge scratch. I had a hard time explaining the whole situation at the drop off location and had a lot of stress on my first vacation day due to that.

I was refused pickup of my car because my government -issued ID was not acceptable to the person working at the counter. It was outrageous. This after you emailed me saying that a US DL is what I should bring. I couldn’t transfer the reservation to another member of my group either. I just had to forfeit the entire cost. A scam.

It took over 4 hours to pick up the rental car, as there were more than 50 people ahead of us!!! Car seat rental was very expensive. Once we got the car it was good.

Pros:

He staff members were competent and professional.

Cons:

The original car supplied was smaller than expected for the category. I had to upgrade to fit people/luggage and the upgrade cost was almost as much as the original rental. However, the upgrade was minimally larger and definitely not worth double the cost. That situation was/is infuriating.

You wouldn’t expect not to find the company name in Rent a car area in airport if you book pick up/drop off location exactly airport. It comes that you are forced to spend extra half an hour to find the right guy and to get to the rental office (same exercise on the way back). The guys in the office live their lifes instead of serving you..

The pickup directions were terrible. Info came from car rental app, so it’s hard to tell if it was Drive on Holidays fault or the rental car app that was the issue. They sent a pickup address that was at some residential Apartment complex. Tried calling but no one picked up. After some digging on the internet I found the closest pickup center near the airport in hopes it was the correct location. I was lucky that it was, because if you’re late they typically give your reserved car to the next person. I spent a bunch of money on two xl Ubers trying to find the pickup location… very ironic Once I finally got there, the service was fine and the process was smoother.

Pros:

They upgraded my car for free.

Cons:

It felt a bit like a scam charging me €100 for a small scratch on the hub cap which was probably not my doing. The guy was a bit too quick to catch it. Also have not received necessary documents for my insurance claim yet.

Cons:

Bad and very slow service to receive the car perhaps pushing customer to accept a more expensive option to accelerate the delivery process... mostly when you arrive to the Europcar office with the family and kids waiting more than one hour with an anticipated reservation/schedule already confirmed

Strong smell of smoke. Pretty beat up with the driver side mirror falling apart. Car ran like a toy and felt like it was barely holding the road at times. Not surprising as it had over 60k kms on it.

The time to pick up the vehicle was excessive. It was because my wife rented the car but I (her husband) was picking it up. I had to have my wife come to the airport to get the car which was silly. They could have simply changed the renter but I was told it was not possible.

Pros:

I waited 2 hours at the counter waiting for my turn to process my previously made reservation and pick up my car until I finally could not wait any longer (hungry, thirsty, and tired after a long flight) and had to call a relative to pick me up at the airport.

Cons:

More staff, better customer service, at least a waiting lounge with snacks and water. Or get out of the business and do something else.

Pros:

Staff was great. Difficult to find drop off, as the GPS sent me to a different place. After going around in a circle twice, finally just drove to the terminal and looked for a "rental car" sign. Suggest that all rented GPS have the proper drop off point in the future.

Cons:

The van advertised said it was big enough for 7 people and their luggage. The van at pickup was fine to seat 7 people, but had almost zero room for luggage. Had to go up a class, and it was nearly twice the price. Wish I had know this upfront.

Individual who processed my car return was curt and rude. No one was around when we arrived so I chose a lane for the car and parked. As we were about to unload an attendant ran up and said we had to move over. The area was incredibly cramped and small as is, and I had barely enough clearance to move the car into the lane he wanted me to be in. So I started moving the car carefully, and even though I had enough clearance on either side, he started yelling at me about how to move the car and seemed frustrated that I wasn’t moving more quickly. Since he clearly had strong opinions on my driving skills, I asked if he could move the car instead. He said "No" at first and continued yelling at me for how to maneuver the car. He only obliged after I stopped moving the car, and even so, he continued barking orders at me like unlocking the car more quickly and even criticized HOW I unlocked the car (I used the door handle and he scoffed saying I should push the "unlock" button instead) Mind you there wasn't a mad rush or anything...no one else was there...things weren't crazy and he was just overwhelmed with work. Absolutely NO excuse for his behavior
