Cons: Comparing with the entrance and common spaces of the hotel, the rooms were a bit "grey" in terms of decoration - but then I saw somewhere that actually we could pick some plants from the entrance and put them on our room, which is a really good idea!

Pros: A nice, clean room. The WiFi was excellent, as was the quality of the mattresses. A clean bathroom with a comfortable shower cell that didn't splash water all over the place, and a sink with shaving mirror. Curtains that closed off light really well. The hotel is very close to Leipzig Hbf so you're within easy travel distance of places like Leipzig Messe.

Cons: I have stayed in Westin properties all over the world and felt the staff here were the poorest trained of any visit. The staff did not seem to care if the guests had a nice stay, and were simply going through the motions. Little things such as ordering an Americano from the barista (who had no idea how to make one) or the front desk who at checkout were poorly organized and seemed disinterested in their jobs. At every step during our stay, we were never made to feel welcome or guests, simply one more person in their line to get through.

Cons: The stairs/no lift are a tad inconvenient. I didn't try the breakfast because it didn't look like it came with fresh fruit and veggies. But there was a lot of other stuff that comes with it- meats, cheese, müsli, toast, breads, jam, butter, juice, coffee, tea, milk, etc. The reception isn't 24hrs during low season/winter. There was a brief lapse in WC cleaning for a couple days while I was there, but during the other days it was well stocked and spotlessly clean.

Cons: I was supposed to stay two nights there in a 6 bed dorm. The first night was ok. The second night, I went straight to the room and it was full with boys, one was even laying on my bed, and my things weren't there anymore! It turned out that they'd changed me to another room. My things were at the reception and I was moved to a smaller room. Even though the guy was nice, I really think someone should have said something before, or at least sent a message, so I was ready. It's the first time something like that happens to me. You must leave a document in order to get your key. Due to the room change I was not given my document back when I returned my key, which I totally forgot :(

There are multiple grocery stores within walking distance as well. I was able to get some good work done in the room thanks to the rather proper desk for a hotel room. The staff was very attentive and professional.

Cons: The hotel is inside a gallery, not a private building. All the lights in the room are “dead-white” halogen so it creates a cold, not pleasant atmosphere. The art of the famous artist is ugly and creepy in my opinion, right in front of the bed ( a photo is attached) And you cannot sit comfortably on the bed because the personal light is stuck exactly where your head supposed to lean on the board of the bed. No coffee/tee facilities in the room. No back garden or other convenient place to smoke on the outside , only standing at the street in the cold.

Cons: Early in the morning someone knocked and quickly came into the room, which woke me up. As soon as they say the room was occupied they quickly left. I assume some kind of cleaning staff. BUT THEN it happened AGAIN an hour later, but this time no knocking just a guy coming straight into the room. I was still in bed but could have easily been showering or changing. I mentioned this to reception and they apologised and promised to look into it. I didn't feel very safe in the room after that. This is not a negative but the shower is in the corner of the room so if you're needing privacy consider that.
