Renting through the app was fine. Trying to discuss changing with Avis was horrible! Good luck trying to speak with someone who speaks clear English and actually lives in the US. Still trying to get a charge, that I thought was cancelled, reversed. Horrible customer service and NOBODY to go physically talk to. I'll NEVER attempt to rent from them again.

Our flight arrived at midnight. I noted this when looking for a car. We were dropped off by the airport transport to the car rental facility in Kansas City. There was NOBODY there in the whole facility. Nobody at Dollar. Nobody at any counter. We sat in what resembled an empty shopping mall for 2 hours with my 83 year old mom in a wheelchair and 4 kids at midnight just trying to find a way out of there. No Uber had space for 7 of us. Customer service at Dollar wouldn't answer the phone. Customer service at Hertz quoted us $357 for 1 day to rent one of their vehicles just to get out of there, just to come back the next morning and get our actual rental, pre-paid for at Dollar. Nowhere in our pre-travel emails did it say that when we arrive there wouldn't be anyone to give us our van. Why would you rent a van to someone who stated they were coming in at midnight when you knew you wouldn't be there to provide? Two security guards and an exit gate attendant at Alamo working graveyard helped us as much as they could to get us out of there. We finally were able to snag a van with Alamo for $140 for the night just to get to a place to stay for the night. We had to drive an hour back the next day, on Easter mind you, to get our Dollar rental. Drop off was fine and the vehicle was fine and the manager on duty was able to help with some compensation which was appreciated. Travelers be warned however, vehicle rental past 6pm at KC airport with Dollar or Hertz will leave you stranded and alone.
My car smelled of cigarettes and then they charged me a smoking fee. I don’t smoke!

They tried to slip in an extra $80 charge for my car. When I asked them what it was for and attendant named Ashley made me wait for 30 minutes to speak to her supervisor. When I finally get to the supervisor all he did was make stupid dad jokes about how his day was going. He called me into his office, did not invite me to sit down, and spent 10 minutes determining that he has no idea what Ashley was doing. When I asked if this was of any concern— That his employees are just charging customers, large sums of money with no Justification, he just stared at me., And aggressive. Never go with her. Every couple years I Go with them because of a low price, and I get reminded why this is such a shitty company.

The engine in my rental car needs service. The engine light came in and the engine stalled twice!! I couldn't get Sevastopol things done on my trip because I was afraid to drive the car and have it break down somewhere. I should get a discount for this!!

The van drove nice for our trip. Check out and your damage app along with lot attendants were horrible inadequate and completely useless. After pointing out additional damage unseen by sixt to the rental van before even starting it. I had to wait to get attendants over to document the damage I pointed out that wasn't on your damage list. Was told after their pictures that I was good to go. While returning the van....attendant told me I was good to go mr brian and assured me the "new damage" I'd pointed out 10 days earlier was on his app. Imagine my surprise 3 days later when sixt sent me a bill invoice email for $1505.00 to repair the "t-bone" damage I pointed out to them! Remit by sept 25th....Outrageous!!!! Didn't sleep at all that night. RUINED MY VACATION VIBES IMMEDIATELY!!! After 2 separate phones calls I got ZERO explanation from sixt or an apology. Was just passed on to another automated phone system until all offices were closed for the day. The next day I spoke to an emotionless drone at sixt claims department and had 9 separate photos and time and gps tagged that I was still in their lot with damaged vehicle at tge ready... I may get an attorney for reimbursement of my rental and vacation as well as emotional distress. Zero stars and would NEVER recommend or rent from sixt again!!! Way to run off a guy about to retire with lots of trips planned✊👈 I believe that they tried this on me because they were so inept at previous check in when van was damaged....they sent me a bill just to see if I'd pay like some idiot would. Corporate greed met it's match.

The check in was quick and very easy, the staff member helping was fantastic and had recommendations for dinner in the area. The car was brand new and clean and had that new car smell. Return was as easy as check in and the staff was friendly and helpful then as well. All around a great experience.

Hopefully, you all can see that from the paperwork and will give her kudos, as she did a fantastic job and was super friendly and helpful. She is a valuable asset to your company. I watched her work with the customers before me, and they left with the same sense of gratitude that I had when I finished working with her. Especially after the day I had been traveling.

Booked “standard suv” category and received a banged up old minivan instead. Car was disgusting outside and especially inside! Took forever to receive the car and then even longer to get out of the gate due to their system freezing up. Not impressed at all!

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

I reserved an Economy car, I got an SUV, I paid over $26 more in fuel than I wanted. If they can't provide the car reserved they should not advertise they have one so I could have moved onto another company. You should not support companies that cannot provide what has been requested.
