7.0 Good
Pros: Location, room
Cons: Cold water in the swimming pool If we had not got reservation in the restaurant we were nof able to have dinner, and we were not informed about it neither by mail, nor during checking in
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, big and quiet rooms, nice sea view, pool and sauna on the rooftop.
7.5 Good
Pros: Country,location,view,comfort,staff

5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice stuff
Cons: Poor breakfast
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Great location, nice breakfast.
Cons: Having to move rooms because of no soundproofing. Receptionist was rude, unapologetic and dismissive. New room was smaller with little natural light and a tiny balcony largely enclosed by an emergency exit staircase. Being accused of breaking the air conditioning controls which were already damaged when we arrived. Pool and spa facilities not at all as inviting or relaxing as they are portrayed on the website. Overall, a tired hotel which might once have been 4 star quality but needs renovating and a change in attitude to be worth the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The roof pool and the sunset on the lagoon
6.3 Good
Pros: maybe just normal for this part of Italy, but the rooms were a bit dated with wallpaper coming off, bed wasnt cleaned properly etc. The pool on the roof was a nice touch though
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds. Sea water indoor pool - big towels and gowns provided. Good breakfast buffet. Very helpful staff. Large bathroom. Dinner for c.20 Euros is a good option.
Cons: Small shower cubicle with very temperamental water supply - kept going very hot and cold while showering. Parking is €18 per night extra in hotel car park. No other option as it is in a camera controlled pedestrian precinct, and there would be a fine for entering it, unless authorized by the hotel. Toilet flushing in next room sounded like a train passing by.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is big and a bit dated. The reception is also big, you feel like you have stepped into another decade somewhere in the middle of the last century ( which does not mean that it is something wrong with that, just a bit unusual these days ). The same thing goes for the breakfast room, it´s big, and a lot of waiters in white jackets running around removing your plate even before you swallowed your last bit of bread, and then you have to get a new plate for the next round. They must have an enormous amount of dishes to wash every day. :-) The breakfast itself is quite alright, nothing exciting, and after three days you get a bit bored. The coffe is fantastic though if you order it from the guy behind the enormous coffemachine ( don´t take the coffe from the self-service machines ). We had a nice few days and we might go back next year!
Cons: We stayed in a Juniorsuite with our two children, which was a bit cramped. Since the children had to sleep on the sofabed ( which we were prepared for ) there was really no were to sit. And we missed having hooks in the hallway for our wet jackets ( it was a rainy weekend ), there are really no where to hang things except for in the cupboard, but I do not like to put my outdoor clothing in the cupboard with the rest of my clean clothes. Also in the bathroom we were missing hooks. Four people with four wet robes coming back from the swimminingpool, four beachtowels ( also for the pool area ) and four bathtowels. Where skall one put everything?
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We always enjoy our stay. We will keep coming back :-) Breakfast is great - especially the coffee!
Cons: A softer pillow and a bit softer mattress would be even more comfortable :-)
Villaggio Cà Laguna - Grado - Bedroom
3
8.1 Excellent (2,435 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Grado, Villaggio Cà Laguna is within a 5-minute drive of Grado Golf Club and Isonzo. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, laundry facilities, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Possibility to rent a bike, however, was charged to the room. Nice swimming pool, close proximity to the beach in Grado, but there was a need to use a car.
Cons: There was an issue with the bunk bed. The railing on the upper bed was not screwed to the bed and failed down several times. There was another issue with the hot water from the tap. It was extremely hot, almost boiling, water. Even though there was a warning sign, it was easy to forget or still dangerous for children. The kitchen equipment was very simple, missing some basic staff e.g. no tools for watching dishes, kitchen towels.... Very little privacy, the patio was open.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good four family, children.
Cons: Did not like summer finishing...:)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, good price, clean room.
Cons: Location is a little far from central Grado.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lot of space
Cons: No internet
7.9 Good
Pros: Great pool area, nice rooms, friendly staff and animators, overall good deal.
Cons: Lack of WiFi and low 3G signal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice pool and area around. Perfect for traveling with children and dogs (separate area for dogs to play). 2 playgrounds for kids. Close to Grado. Parking place near apartment.
Cons: No even small table inside the house. At 1st floor not enough space for clothes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartments are really nice and cosy, we were a couple + 2 y.o. 2 10 y.o. girls. It is really prepared to accommodate a family. it was maybe 15m away from the swimming pool.
Cons: The location could be closer to my residence, so I could go back more often!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The camp had an own beach spot, where we could also bring our dog and let him be free if it behaved. Also, they have a nice pool and children activities, both during the day and the evening.
Cons: The camp's beach wasn't that clean.

7.5 Good
Pros: overall satisfied with our stay
Cons: parking our van in the garage of the hotel did not work due to its hight - but that is no ones fault
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to the beach entrance, walkable distance from the historic town center, which is really nice and good to find a restaurant or a bar in the evening. Room was as expected, with a small balcony. Staff helpful and always available. Good place to store bikes in a closed garage.
Cons: Everything looks quite old school, but it is more funny than a problem. Everything is functional, so why not.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff should be nicer and not that transactional
5.4 Okay
Pros: I liked the location and thats all
Cons: Tiny double room (2.8X4.0m), causing very depressive feelings. Did not like the toilet, which was a partition taken from the room, flushing next to my head in the bed, moreover without noise insulation. Parking is a disaster, staff do not care to much how and were you can park your car. Only one coffee machine at breakfast, guests in long quees, waiting for their turn.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Queuing for the single coffee machine at breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location close to beach and city centre, however, still in a very quiet pedestrians area. Interior swimming pool with "sea" water. Sufficiently rich breakfast.
Cons: No beach services included in the price.
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel is well located allowing you to walk through the pedastrian streets.
Cons: It is an old hotel and the facilities in the room are also a bit old.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, they were so friendly, the food was more than excellent, the Chef does a variety of different dishes all cooked to perfection. The waitresses are friendly and helpful, our room was always cleaned beautifully, this was the second visit to this hotel and we will definitely go back again.
Cons: Nothing

7.1 Good
Cons: Very old furniture, and terrible blanket in the room. You need modernisation.
7.9 Good
Pros: We liked: - breakfast - bed - view
Cons: The parking is 15 EUR/ day. Maybe it is a bit expensive and the parking places are small and not easy to turn etc. Only for experienced driver :) It would be good to give more info how to enter and leave the parking house.
7.9 Good
Pros: We are a family of four and started our summer holiday with a two night stay at this wonderful hotel. We had a “suite” with room for all four of us and with an amazing balcony facing the sea. The room it self was quiet basic and with old looking furniture, but the beds were good and not too soft, and the room was clean. The rooftop bar and pool full filled our expectations and the staff and service was great. The views from both balcony and rooftop were absolutely beautiful and picturesque and we had no problems getting sun beds at the pool. Breakfast was okay and very standard like ...we have had better and definitely worse. All in all a great start and enjoyable experience to our summer holiday.
Cons: The hotel looks quite nice, but the rooms and hallways needs an update with some new furniture, a brush of paint to lift the look, feel and standard

Hotel Ville Bianchi - Grado - Building
9

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, very nice atmosphere, excellent breakfast and dinner
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The bed was too soft for me, otherwise all ok
5.8 Okay
Pros: The position is great.
Cons: The service and accomodation should improve.Breakfast a lit bit poor
7.5 Good
Pros: The location, though if you want to be in the front row AND have an unimpeded view of the sea, you will (a) need to know the name of the individual villa (there are five in total!!) and (b) take a room on the TOP floor!
Cons: No proper garden (almost every square inch has been turned into a gravelled car park — which is undoubtedly very important (no parking in the street!!!) but leaves the guest with only the option of the beach (for which you have to pay!) or a public park of which there are plenty. Although much is made of the TOTAL RENOVATION in the year 2000 (!), there are signs of wear and tear that could do with refurbishment (such as our bathroom, especially the shower....). It is a four star hotel, after all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the beach area! And it’s surrounding restaurants and shops.
7.1 Good
Cons: Staff was not trained and not friendly. Asked for eggs at the breakfast buffet. Not available, probably in 15 minutes, but after 30 minutes I gave up. Not one word of sorry, not one attempt to mane up for mistakes, a teaching example how to not do this. We parked your car somewhere else, go look for it........
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location!

Shops and cafés are located in nearby Grado. Overlooking a marina, the property attached to Tenuta Primero Camping, where check-in takes place in the summer. The complex is 40 km from Trieste and a 40-minute drive from Udine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice, modern and clear accomodion with beautiful view.
Cons: There was not.
7.1 Good
Pros: We actually loved the staff. Everyone was really nice and helpful even though we did not speak italian. The breakfast was also decent although there could be more variety. The place is actually beautiful. The port, and nature. Parking was provided. And the reastaurant near the "beach" was also really good.
Cons: First of all we got the room nr. 10. Which is the last room on the 1st floor. That wouldn't be a problem unless you take a look from the window on the left side of the room which opens to a ship service shop/junkyard? I don't know but it was noisy basically all the time from the early morning. We woke up every day to some really annoying noise and shouting. Other problem would be the really thin walls. Basically if one of the guests sneezed in the room near us, it would feel like the person is in our room. And you can imagine all the other type of noises. The room had also another really big problem. Since it's the last room in the building basically it's in the corner of the building and there is a reinforcement wooden beam approx at 1.75m heighth in the middle of the room( i'm 2.0m). In the daytime there was no problem, but in the night time I've hit my head several times. This should be at least stated when you get the room. The suite itself is far from the reception(approx 300m) and far from the beach(approx 700m). Unfortunately the beach is useless unless you only want to sunbath. The water is really shallow and full of algae and seaweed. Actually the camping and hotel is approx. 8 km far away from the center of the city Grado.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place to stay and visit Grado. The Marina and entire complex is really great. Everything was perfect. Congrats!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is very nice! Got some free drinks in the room. Area is pretty.
Cons: Was a bit cold during the night in winter, but perfect option for summer!
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The reception is in the neighbouring camping site (~300m), but this is not written, you have to find someone who know ehat to do...
7.0 Good
Pros: The small present - surprise was sympathetic (and useful for me). Nice view.
Cons: Lying on sea shore the sea itself was not accessible for me (all gates closed).
7.5 Good
Pros: Room and bed were comfortable. Place was clean and roomy. Receptionist was helpful.
Cons: Location was above bar next to marina. It was quiet but location wasn’t great. Couldn’t walk around marina. We ate at restaurant at golf course across the street. Check in was a little tricky as receptionist at different location. Room had metal support beams and I hit my head on way to bathroom. Room would not be good for tall people.

Pros: Very friendly, relaxed, helpful staff. Good breakfast selection, great location. We would certainly come back and also recommend it to others.
Cons: A mini fridge in the rooms would be helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, the owner and all the personal at the hotel were really kind. I would return there any time. Only walking distance from the centre and the beach.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Awesome place. clean, really friendly staff, comfy beds, large room and over average breakfast quality. Given the price we paid for and given the location and this part of Italy/Adriatic this was an awesome value.
Cons: It is not the very center of town, it is half a kilometer walk to the center and a kilometer to the beach but one could also view it as positive since it's more of a quiet neighborhood.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very fine breakfast. Nice balcony.
Cons: Quite small room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has everything you need for a pleasant vacation. Quiet location, tidiness and cleanliness of the hotel. And a very good breakfast, of course ... :-)
Cons: Really not a minus: maybe the distance from the beach and some storage shelf more in the room. But as I said: not a real minus.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and very nice and helpful staff. Location in quiet area, 10 minutes walk from city center. Room simple, but clean.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit smelly
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area just over the bridge from the main part of Grado, yet only a 10 minute stroll to the main shopping streets with a large choice of restaurants, historical centre and the sea front. We payed for parking 5 euros per night at the hotel, but there is public parking nearby at the same price if there is no room at the hotel.Room was spacious, nice beds, balcony, airconditioning and tea making facilities. Bathroom had a shower curtain instead of a door, but plenty of hot water. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast, ham, cheese, eggs etc. Coffee was by a nespresso machine. The staff were very helpful and recommended a choice of restaurants to us and gave us milk to make tea in the room.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very romantic small hotel, a walkway from every thing. Super nice owner and an excellent breakfast. I recommend it also to families with small children.
Cons: They don’t have a kitchen and it si not possible to have lunch or dinner at the hotel. But they do have a bar!
Hotel Merano - Grado - Bedroom
12
8.8 Excellent (352 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel Merano in Grado, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 5-minute drive of Spiaggia Costa Azzurra and Spiaggia G.I.T. Grado. Featured amenities include luggage storage and an elevator. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to beach, private parking, tasty breakfast, very friendly staff (Giulio - the receptionist was very friendly, recommended us some places, always smiling, talked to us, we arrived in the morning so he even offered us breakfast for the day we were not supposed to have it). Big comfortable bathroom, nice room, quiet at night, air conditioning in room.
Cons: There were no glasses in the rooms. This lowered my comfort, as I had water soluble medicine and needed a glass. Moreover, in the summer heat it is a standard to have a possibility to pour water in a glass and put it on the bedside table for the night for example. We had to ask an elder lady (probably the owner, idk), but she treated us quite rude way. Finally she just gave us one glass, and we were four people. So my advice: please put two glasses in the rooms for your guests. They will appreciate it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Giulio - the receptionist was super nice, he helped us a lot with everything: free parking, restaurant recommendations etc. Breakfast was very delicious, there was even gluten free corner!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I spent some days there with my friend, her kid and my dog. Really dogfriendly hotel, always fresh water at front door. Staff very kind and helpful. Nice view to lagoon. I've decided to visit again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: At second time the same feeling like during first time. :) I can just recommend to spend there your holiday.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly receptioner, good location, clima in the room. Good breakfast.
Cons: Wi-fi conection was a little bit low.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly management and staff. Good location for people who desire quietness. Excellent breakfast. It really made an enjoyable stay at this small and splendid hotel while in Grado.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The helpful and extraordinary information about very different matters concerning my stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was perfectly fine. There was everything we needed/wanted and it was never empty. There was enough space for everybody and I didn't have to feel uncomfortable at all when my toddler got a bit louder or was messing up the table while eating. The staff was extremely friendly and very welcoming. We got recommendations for nice restaurants, bars and things to do. The beach is just a two minutes walk away and around the hotel there are restaurants and playgrounds for all kind of ages. The centre is also just a few minutes away.
Cons: The parking space is a bit small, but even with a bigger car it’s doable. And there is entrance to pay for the beach, if I remember it correctly around 3€ each day (without sun loanger and parasol). But therefore, it's really clean and there are playgrounds and bars and places to eat everywhere.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: No matter the old hotel, rooms are clean and tidy, breakfast is wonderful and tasty, the stuff is helpful. If coming by car and the hotel doesnt have a parking for you, find the white zone parking-it is free of carge all the time! ;-)
Cons: It would left so much nicer impression if the common areas were more clean. Wouldnt mind to have a chair on the balcony to adore the view, too!
7.9 Good
Pros: the staff was helpful
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was really good and the stuff was great.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit dirty and the bed was really uncomfortable, the view was bad, it looked directly into the other hotel rooms...

Cons: Facility !
Hotel Metropole - Grado - Building

8.8 Excellent (404 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Metropole is situated right in front of Grado's pretty tourist harbour. It is just a 5 minutes' walk from the the pedestrian area in the historic centre, and the beach with thermal spas. Rooms and suites feature elegant parquet floors and functional furniture. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. Hotel Metropole was the traditional destination of the Habsburg dynasty until the early years of the 20th century. Today it offers a regal stay in the heart of Grado.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very nice hotel right in the center. AC and with closed windows very calm. breakfast 14 €/person - we prefered to go to a local cafe
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good, helpful and friendly contact. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. I suggest to choose street view rooms with a small balcony because you can sit and look onto the small port with many sailboats, small yachts and fishing boats. The breakfast is amazing!!! Wide variety of small sandwiches, eggs, sweets, dairy products, cereals and fruits. Tasty and delicious. The location is perfect because the hotel is on the edge of the pedestrian zone. The old town is charmy and beautiful with a lot of sights, good restaurants, shops and bars. We used the free beach with rocky steps as the locals did.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is great! Just steps away from the pedestrian zone and a quick walk to the beach. Loads of restaurants nearby. The two-room suite was awesome for our family of four. The concierges at the front desk were really helpful with local information and recommendations, and the waitress at breakfast was super sweet. The breakfast was good but pricey ($48 euros for our family of four!).
Cons: The breakfast is good but pricey ($48 euros for our family of four!). There are cheaper options around for sure. Also, unfortunately, our shower was clogged when we arrived. So we were unable to take real showers (not that my children minded!). It was the weekend so no plumbers could come out during our stay. The hotel offered us free breakfast the next day to make up for it, which was nice and welcome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Staff very helpful
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly nice and sweet, that made all the difference during our trip.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room overlooking the harbour! Good breakfast on the frontside looking at the boats. Very helpful staff!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super location right on the old harbour - and just 100 metres to the heart of the old town!
Cons: All good!
5.8 Okay
Pros: nice location, very central
Cons: No mattress cover on the bed, just a single sheet on the bed. Street light just outside the window so room require blackout blinds. We asked for an extra pillow but despite the person at the reception acknowledging our request, he didn’t bring it to us. All in all not really a 4 star service I’m afraid!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was the best in Grando, I looked at all the other 4 star hotels and this had the best location with easy access to the bus station and the old town, I brought a return bus ticket at the information office at the airport it was only 5 euros. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was German with itailian bread. They did have english tea which surprised me. The rooms have a plastic shower with water jets and a seat. The room was not very modern with old tv and furnishings, the bed was huge and very confortable. The hotel is only half the size of the pictured building as the end in private flats and a shop. I would recommend this hotel as the location and views was the best in Grando.
Cons: The reception gave us the time table for the bus from Grando to the train station, and the train station timings into Trieste. They also told us about the boat trips. They did everything that we required.
6.0 Good
Pros: A lovely hotel in a terrific location. Very nice room and friendly staff. I'd definitely stay at the Metripole again.
6.0 Good
Pros: Pleasant situation in the heart of Grado on the Canal. Nice breakfast with great variety. Front rooms must have a great view.
Cons: The traffic situation: It is not easy to access the hotel by car. It would be helpful to give directions. You could say if the room you are offering is a front or a back room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything was ok, free wifi was also available in the lobby. Not the nicest Hotel, but definitely a good bang for a buck.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room service was perhaps the best I've encountered in all of my overseas travels. The hotel was immaculate at all times and the staff went out of their way to assist in any way possible throughout my stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was very clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, there was free parking outside and a supermarket a few meters away. Good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Apartment was clean, new, nicely designed and spacious. Competent, helpful and friendly reception staff.
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful apartment with everything you need to make a coffee or even to cook a real meal. Nice to have a balcony although the view is on the next building only. Some noise of the ventilation of that building if you leave the balcony door open. Free parking in the street. A short walk to the beach and somewhat longer to the center. Supermarket at 50 meters which is nice if you only want to have a croissant for breakfast.
Cons: Checking out took 25 minutes. There was a girl at the desk but she said she was 'new' and did not know exactly how to do this. I think a five minute training session should have been enough.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, great cleaning service, lovely holiday
Cons: - kitchenette deposit 50 eur - suggest to resign from this charge - bit early check out (10.00) when breakfast is served to 10.00 am too
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A nice clean apartment, not far from the beach. A grocery store is just a few steps away. Grado has pleasant weather (not too hot), nice sandy beaches that are especially convenient for families with kids who cannot swim yet. Lots of restaurants, caffes, ice cream parlors etc.
Cons: The nearby beach closed too early, at about 8 PM, just when the sunset was about to start. Free parking on the street sometimes meant having to search for an empty spot for a while, but in the end I always found one within a few minutes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, and the facilities are very good. The bathroom was very comfortable, as was the little kitchen. Staff welcomed us and was very helpful and thorough in providing information. The property is located in a relatively quiet area, and parking was available for free.
Cons: The double bed was made of two separate beds, which rolled apart during the night - this made the sleeping very uncomfortable. It did not help that the bed mattress was extremely soft and one was sinking in it. At peak times there is issue with parking spots, as they do not seem to be enough reserved for guests of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed only 1 night, but it was wonderful..modern, super clean, stylish..exactly like on photos.. towels in kitchen, tab for dishwasher..on the balcony things to clean apartment..to dry clothes..You think..oh I need..and other second you find it. Bravo to owner or management. Big thanx to housekeeping..it was soooo clean. And cherry on the cake lovely Sara.. friendly, open ,ready to help and to make you toenjoy your stay. Receptionist is the face and spirit of the hotel. And she is amazing. We are very grateful. Will be back for sure. Elena and Slava

7.9 Good
Pros: Location. Room with a big terace.
Cons: Breakfast was the same every day, a lot of grilled/cooked small meals, almost no fresh veggies, zero variety of egg meals. No prosecco :) Parking was extra charged.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. Our apartment #605 was the top floor with great views. Very spacious open apartment with big balcony overlooking sea. All perfect clean and well serviced. Breakfast all good. Great to have bike available for rental anytime, so convenient to get around the Grado by bike, enjoyed a lot.
Cons: -
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast with Italien dishes Great view on the sea.
Cons: The bed was not comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was always nice, rich selection of different kind of food. Every morning we found something new and delicious on the buffet table. Giovanni prepared excellent Italian espresso. There was a small kitchen corner in the double room with fridge, microwave. We could prepare something for lunch or dinner if we did not want to go out.
Cons: The center of Grado was 10-15 minutes by bicycle, and we stayed on the 1st floor from where we couldn’t see the beach. But in case of need the hotel provided us bikes free of charge which was very nice of them.
