Pros: Our stay was just fabulous. The hosts are lovely people with great knowledge of the area, a genuine interest in their guests and a focus on local products, as well as many self made delicacies including homemade bread and yogurt. The villa is beautiful, as well as the garden. The room we stayed in was a little suite with separate sitting room and highest quality fittings. Generous size bed with very comfortable mattress and bedding. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The building and the garden are really beautiful, the quality and consistent style of decorations stands out even in the boutique hotel category. The hosts are nice, breakfast is high quality. Minibar is reasonably priced.

Pros: My partner and I visited Ghent for a conference and stayed at Villa Emma for 3 nights. It was the best place ever. The couple owning the B&B was super friendly and the villa was magical. We had an awesome breakfast every morning (with freshly baked (still warm) bread!) and in the evening after a long conference day it felt like coming home. On our day of departure, the owner even dropped us off at the train station. A truly unique experience!

Pros: I love everything about this place! We received a very warm welcome. The modern rooms are beautifully decorated. You can find beers, wines (at convenient prices) and tea/coffee in the room. The location is perfect, right next to the station. However, as the rooms are very well isolated, we could hardly hear the trains passing. The breakfast room has a beautiful Victorian style. It is a varied breakfast with fresh and quality products. Highly recommended!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and the lady at the reception was very helpful
Cons: Room was very cold during the night. There were under 15 degrees outaide. We set the heater to maximum but it was cold.. Plus you could feel the draft from the entrance door when staying in bed. Alot of noise in the corridor until 3 am and then construction work began at 8 am. And you can hear all the street traffic. So in total I slept maximum 4 hours. Strong smell of wc desinfectant when entering the room. We had a “perfect” view if a grey wall, roof and scafolding. The drinking glasses were faced down directly on the table. Uncomfordable pillows and headboard. No storage room. We arrived 10 minutes before the checkin time and the room didn’t seem to be ready soon... we were told that we arrived “too early”. we left the main luggage, but we had to carry the backpack all afternoon through the city

Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner was super nice, she gave us a lot of help to visit Gent and enjoy it! I loved the place, the room was nice and had everything also for coffee and tea (also a fridge). We felt like home!
Cons: I think the price was a bit high for only one night and also considering the position (not exactly in the centre but easily connected).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host is very friendly and the garden is very beautiful.
Cons:
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location with an enclosed garden for guests' use where dogs were welcome. Large shabby chic room, more of a bedsit with fridge, microwave, coffe maker, table and chairs for eating as well as other comfortable furniture that seemed to have come from someone's very nice home. Bed comfortable, electric mosquito repeller that worked: I could imagine myself spending weeks here writing a book. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Being at the end of a one way street with no shops or restaurants within (my) walking distance meant taking the car to the Greek restaurant on the other side of the river (and roadworks made it a long way round). Quite a long drive from the centre of Ghent but we were back on our route more quickly the next morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming. Lovely place to stay and nice quite area. Gave us useful information, breakfast/drinks ect was good. Would book again if we visit gent in the future.
Cons: Nothing to add!

Cons: If towels get change it will be fantastic.

Pros: A quite location with a garden. Fresh bakery for breakfast every morning.
Cons: The stairs in the room were too noisy. When my wife was sleeping, noisy steps caused disturbance.

Pros:
Cons: It is not a room with a garden view, it is a garage. No windows, no doors on the toilet, no tv

Pros: Good location, well decorated spacious bedroom.
Cons: The host. More of a hostel than a B&B, late check-in, not a great variety for breakfast. Check in was meant to he a 6pm (late in any case) but was told we couldn't check in until 7pm. On arriving my partner said to Fred, "hey, are you okay?" He replied, "why wouldn't I be okay, are you my psychiatrist or something?" This seemed very hostile. He offered no apology for our room not being ready for 6pm, he didn't offer to make us a drink but offered us a token to get a free beer down the road. The room came to €110.33 and Fred insisted on the 33cents. He was very strange and actually quite rude. When eating breakfast Fred was conytantly walking around us and not let us relax, offering a free bookmark. Breakfast was not great, one boiled egg and some cheese and ham. I would not stay here again and would not recommend.

Pros: I was upgraded to an apartment, which I didn't really need, however I enjoyed the space and I imagine this to be a good place for a couple to spend a week or so cooking their own food. The interior design of the place is original and tasteful, I love it. The owner is very friendly. Breakfast is good though nothing special, but good classical music was played.

Cons: For airing the place some kind of balcony door had to be opened that is possibly accessible from the outside, so (when you're away or sleeping) giving a burglar an opportunity. I didn't figure out how to air bathroom and toilet (which are separated) but the air didn't get too bad. The thermostat in the middle of the night always cancelled my (low) temperature setting and started to heat, which was annoying.

Pros: The house is very nice, there is very interesting front room (where the reception is situated). The room was small but very comfortable and had pretty nice from the window in inner yard. The toilet and shower are small but very clean and comfortable. There are electrical teepot and fridge in the room and it was very usefull to have hot tea after walk in November Ghent. The place is in 15 minuts from city centre by walk, but the way is on the pretty nice streets. I haven't taken the breakfast that's why I couldn't write anything about it. Many thanks to lady from reception. She was very nice and has given good advices about the visit of city. Thanks to good accomodation and the special touristic brochure that I have got on reception my impression about Ghent was great.

Pros: The house is about 20 minutes walking from the historic heart of the city. Renee, the host and owner, is very frendly. She kept in touch before our arrival, and when we arrived, we received all the tourist information and guidance, including leaflets and the map. The room overviewing the back garden was very clean and quiet, the bed comfortable. There was the kettle with the cups, tea and coffee in the room, which was great. There is also a kitchen corner in the corridor with the fridge, plates and cutlery if you wish to prepare your own breakfast. There were parking spaces in the same street, so we had no problem parking the car a few meters away from the front door. Strongly recommended.
