Fujiwara Ryokan - Nagasaki - Building
1
9.2 Excellent (270 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Fujiwara Ryokan in Nagasaki, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum and Monument and Megane Bridge. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fujiwara Ryokan is about 4 minutes walking from the closest streetcar stop and 10 minutes from Nagasaki station. I booked without breakfast and had two different japanese style rooms with shared bathroom and toilet. Both rooms were in very good condition, very clean and spacious with a porch separated by sliding doors where one can hang clothes and store luggage. But most of all I cannot praise enough the hospitality and friendliness of the people that own and run that place. They have made me feel most welcome and at home.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very authentic Japanese Ryokan. The owner is lovely. Situated in walking distance from the train station.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place was not full on the day we arrived so we got to check in a little earlier. There is no lift to get upstairs though, and to get to reception you'll need to walk up a flight of stairs. There are facilities like coin laundry but it's available until 2130 only. In the room, there's lots of hangers to hand your outerwear and towels. Overall the place is cosy, and very well maintained. Not sure if this last bit is necessary but keys turn the other way.
Cons: In the room, I was a little disappointed that there was no electric kettle to boil water. Only a small thermos containing hot water is provided. It doesn't have enough to make some instant cup noodles. :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent everything. Good service and friendly. It feel likes my home.
Cons: None.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely, quaint Japanese Ryokan run by a gracious and extremely friendly 'older' gentleman. Situated in an excellent location between the hubbub of the Nagasaki Station area and the bustling Chinatown. The traditional Japanese accommodation was both comfortable and spacious.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, clean and good facilities. We felt very welcome and comfortable. One of the best places we stayed in this price range.
Route - Nagasaki - Bedroom
2
8.9 Excellent (311 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at ROUTE in Nagasaki, you'll be just steps from Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum and Monument and 13 minutes by foot from Megane Bridge. Featured amenities include a computer station, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff at the Cafe who made us most welcome. Location excellent just up hill from Station and across road from 26 Martyrs memorial. Room and facilities good for families, simple, self contained, spacious and comfortable enough. Arigatou.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and lovely staff, nice breakfast sandwiches. It’s basically a small dormitory but you have individual locking cabins. Really close to the station, so easy to navigate your way around.
Cons: It’s not really a complaint but a reminder that because it’s essentially a mixed dorm, even though there are only 5 occupants at a time - your comfort depends a lot on the other people staying at the same time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are super friendly. They are so eager to share about Nagasaki. They gave us some cookies as Halloween gifts which are soooooooo cute. Strongly recommended for families to stay
Cons: You need to walk down stairs as there is no lift. May be a problem to family with elderly. Apart from that, the room is perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and friendly staff.
Cons: A guest who snores.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice stay. The location near station was good (even though you had to walk up to a hill, but that's what Nagasaki is like.) Room design was nice, it allowed a lot privacy for a dorm room. Friendly staff - extra thanks for letting me use my broken Japanese :) The breakfast was really tasty and the cafe had nice atmosphere.
Cons: Some information on the walls was not updated and also the staff couldn't answer all the questions very well. But they tried, and that's most important. It was a bit unconvenient that you had to order the breakfast before 8pm in the night before, but I understand it in this kind of small place. More expensive than most hostels I've been in Japan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good location at just 5 min on foot from the station. Very friendly staff and very cosy. The privacy solution for the rooms is great. Everyone gets their own “cubicle” with a lockable screen. Bed and sheets were comfy, shower was lovely with daylight shining in through frosted glass. Small kitchenette if you wanna cook. I took the breakfast option. Got a lovely freshly made sandwich with ham and vegetables. Would recommend this place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Near to the Nagasaki Station. Very secure. Almost perfect. Very cute and polite staff name Aya. She’s willing to know about what I can and can’t eat because I’m a Muslim. You should give her a raise or a promotion.
Cons: Nothing only love.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A dash of French touch of everything.
Cons: Not at all.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views of Nagasaki bay from room and Japanese baths. Manager and staff were all so friendly and helpful, providing English maps (even of walking route down the hill into town). Nagasaki Kagamiya - Nagasaki - Outdoor view
6
8.7 Excellent (357 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Nagasaki Kagamiya - Hostel in Nagasaki, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Megane Bridge and Sofuku-ji. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple who owns this guesthouse are so lovely! It was a pleasure to stay in their guesthouse. They really take their time for you and are open for having nice conversations. And even tho you stay in a city, the location of their guesthouse is really beautiful and quiet.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very helpful and the place is very clean. It also includes breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hostel is to me the best kind of hostel you can stay in. The place is far enough from the center so that you can relax, but not too far (you can walk or just get a tram from 130 yien). The hostel is very cozy and the owners are just the best hosts that you can hope to have. They really promote an incredible environment in the hostel. Honestly, I felt home! They speak good English! The hostel is also very clean! If I return to Nagasaki this will definitely be the place I will choose!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: You'll not find any nicer hosts anywhere! A really lovely couple that took us to the local street festival that was going on when we were there. They also took us to a nics Izakaya and a tats restaurant and gave us a local feel for Nagasaki.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I wished I stayed there longer! I was there for only one night so I didn't really get to appreciate what the guesthouse has to offer. The owners were super friendly and invited me to drink with them, but I was too tired. The bed was comfy but it had a bean pillow which I hate. The breakfast in the morning is toasts and coffee, which is great to get you started, but very simple. It's a bit out of the way, but near a tram station so you're still connected to the city. Really good place!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: From outside it looked like a nice little japnese inn.
Cons: Grumpy owner, a bit far from the city center, no parking spaces nearby, very thin walls, we couldnt sleep until 1am and from 6.30am because of our only neighbors, toilet with a brown furry cover to make it as unhygienic as possible, but the worst about the accomodation was the moldy smell everywhere which makes the place essentially uninhabitable. The inn should be closed and completely renovated for health reasons. All our clothes and luggage smelled like mold for days after our 9 hour-long stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome people. Very spacious rooms and facilities are really worth it. Unfortunately our stay was just for one night.. But, this can be the den for a longer stay. Special mention of the hostess who was so nice and enthusiastic. Thank you for hosting us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome and hospitality of the hosts and our lovely room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable hosts. We went for the Kunchi and our hosts told us all about it, which was very helpful. It is very well situated and I would recommend to anyone travelling to Nagasaki!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good. I will definitely go back to this hotel if I were to stay in Nagasaki.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Just opposite to JR Nagasaki and tram station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Clean and comfortable rooms. Free coffee at the lobby in the morning.
Cons: The hotel entrance is blocked by the pedestrian bridge and if you are driving, GPS wouldn’t be able to guide you to the exact location. You won’t be able to drop off at the entrance. So be mindful if you are driving and having children and a few bags. Otherwise, all good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 1. Location - this hotel is right across the street from Nagasaki Station. We used the elevated walkway right in front of the hotel to get to the train station/ stores. There is an elevator on both ends that we used when we had luggage. 2. Friendly staff - staff at front desk were friendly and helpful. You can buy 1 day tram pass from them. 3. Location 2 - there is a grocery store on the ground floor in the same complex as the train station which was handy for buying drinks, bento, snacks. There are restaurants on the top floor of the department store at the station. 4. We paid 800 yen which was reasonable for a buffet breakfast. Not a large selection but enough for us. There is a wider array of Japanese food than western food.
Cons: The beds were a good size, however they were too hard for me (though hard beds might be the norm in Japan). The pillow was hard as well, however the hotel can give you softer pillows on request.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the railway station and street cars. Clean and nice staff.
Cons: The bed was very small for 2 persons.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it. From the design of the room to the services inside the hotel like laundry and free ice for drinks. When I come back to Nagasaki I will stay here again!
Cons: If you could have an exchange machine for laundry it would have been perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location - just oposite to the JR station and with the lift few meters from the hotel doors, so you don't have to carry your suitcase through the stairs.

4.8 Okay
Pros: Laundry room
Cons: Overpriced room for $145/ nite, the bed so small for 2 people and room so small even to pass. Only can lay out 1 luggage. Bathroom is dark, low ceiling with a weird plastic Tank near commode. I found much nicer room in other Nagasaki hotels than my room. Room has no cofee sugar amenities provided.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is perfect to go out around downtown and Chinatown. Public bath is good too.
Cons: It must be very clean when it opened... but it does not seem clean enough now.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the Onsen Also pyjamas etc. solid place - its a chain I've started to get to know and I like ..
7.5 Good
Pros: On-site onsen and location was the best! Free coffee machine at the reception including nightly free noodles
Cons: Aircon in the room was not cold enough. Pillow was small and shallow and only one was provided. The prices were also a higher compared nearby hotels
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good standard hotel in a good central location, close to the Chinese quarter. Room was comfortable and a decent size. Bathroom was standard but room flooded when draining the bath. This wasn't a problem as, like most hotels we stayed in, the room was self-contained with a step up in to it. Breakfast was ok, the range was a little limited and definitely aimed more towards the Japanese/Chinese palette. The breakfast room itself was a little uninspiring. But couldn't fault the cleanliness or friendliness of the staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is located very close to a small but thriving Chinatown. Also walking distance to many attractions. There is free noodles in the evening if you're peckish and the hot tubs and sauna are very nice after a day of sightseeing.

7.5 Good
Pros: The location is nice. Right at the historical sites from few centuries ago. Staff was polite. Breakfast was very good and the lady they’re was super friendly and helpful
Cons: The cleanliness. The room wasn’t clean properly. There were stains on the carpet, some hair on the floor. For that price I think they should invest a bit more. And if I am not mistaken it is a chain hotel
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Microwave available. Extremely close to tram and airport shuttle. Very close to train stations and convenience stores. Great music bar opposite the hotel, nice to get a drink and heat some live music there
Cons: No negatives
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is close to the train station- which has a shopping center and food court. Check in process was quick and easy. Room was a nice size and very clean. Bathroom was very clean and has a seperate toilet room. Rooms were quiet and heating/cooling worked well. Would stay here again.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great :)
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The pillow is very low for my wife. She prefers high pillow.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with many items to choose from. The hotel was near the harbor to shop and eat many different kinds of food.
Cons: The double bed room was very tiny and without a headboard, it bit uncomfortable to watch the TV which was located adjacent to the side of the bed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, facilities and staff are fantastic! Would book again!
Cons: Bus stop information at Nagasaki Eki could have been communicated more clearly. A map was provided as an attachment to emails but this was easily missed in all the information. A mention and a link to that map in the body of the emails would have been helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff (especially the nice driver for the resort shuttle bus). The facilities are very thoughtful and tastefully designed which make this a remarkable stay.
Cons: Nothing. Only regret is not staying longer.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 3 onsens and 4 resturants in the resort zone, owesome experience with the onsen and the dinner and breakfast. worth the money. different activities e.g. kayaking, tour to Gunkanjima. refer to the official website and book ahead. finally we choose to ride a bicycle up to the hill and enjoy the sunset. we swim in thw beach with the crystal clear water, very relaxing experience. highly recommend this island for people who want peace and simple setting.
Cons: shuttle bus goes around the island, travellers would better take the bus to save some sweat and energy in summer when you go around different zones forbrestaurants and onsen. buses are frequent, every 10 mins. you definitely need to hold a map to show the driver if you are not japanese speaker.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was very difficult to get information at the time if check in as the staff behind the counter could not speak English at all and would not get any help. But the next day was ok. However first impression was very important.

Pros: An excellent reasonably priced hotel with great views of Nagasaki!
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Mountain view over look the city
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is high above the city with great views - walking distance down into town (if you enjoy steps and wandering through the local housing) but not with luggage up hill. However, the courtesy bus to and from the station is on time and quick. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of options including some Continental - perhaps a bit costly but you are also paying for the view from the 8th floor. Staff were very friendly. The coffee/tea sitting room on the ground floor provides decent free coffee all day.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very large and comfortable. There was a shuttle service to train station. Great views!
Cons: The location doesn’t offer much in a way of places to eat out or shop.

4.6 Okay
Pros: Aircon is strong.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room is newly renovated, we stay in the 4-people room which is really specious. Staff will set up the tatami on floor in evening. The beds are comfortable. Overall is clean and comfortable. The window in room can be opened to get fresh air. The hot spring in main building is good but unfortunately no towel provided. The breakfast is not bad which provide a variety of choices compared with other Japanese hotel.
Cons: The breakfast time finished at 0900 which is too early for leisure customer. The outdoor hot spring is not available in the morning & pm until 1700. The location is a bit far from city but it’s totally fine for self-driving customer.

Overview Reviews
Romantic and exotic, home of the Nagasaki Kunchi (Dragon dance) festival. Nagasaki is a major tourist destination on the island of Kyushu, offering a dramatic atmosphere all year round. The Hotel Nagasaki, BW Premier Collection is a very modern hotel and a very good site for transportation. It takes about an eight minute walk from the JR Nagasaki station. You can get a full view of the beautiful Nagasaki Port. There are eight banquet halls in the hotel, including a mail hall, one of the best international arenas. A variety of events such as wedding ceremony, international conference, and private party is held in the halls. Four restaurants and bar provide a very unique and relaxing atmosphere. We welcome our guests with an international level of traditional service arriving here.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The view from the restaurant was splendid. The room was good and the lobby impressive. We were pleased that we were able to dispose a broken suitcase without any problem from the management. They were very pleasant about that.
Cons: Everything was ok. No complaints or bad feeling.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly.
Cons: Beds were rock hard. Very uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It seems that we received a room upgrade, it was extremely nice considering the price we paid. The staff was very friendly. The hotel can be reached within a 10-minute walk from the station. The view from the breakfast room is amazing. The breakfast variety was good.
Cons: Even on weekends, the bar at the top of the building is unfortunately only open until 10 pm, which in our opinion is too short to even call it a bar (would've been awesome to enjoy the nightview from there). Despite the generally good breakfast the coffee didn't taste that well.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view, near Nagasaki station but a bit far from the other spots but its so easy to visit the city with the tramway (streetcars), ask the reception desk for a pass. The Japanese restaurant of the hotel is also very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel New Nagasaki is perfectly situated, 100 metres from the railway station, the bus stop and tram stop making access to all of Nagasaki’s attractions simple. The staff were friendly and very courteous. The room fitted three adults and was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely and Nagasaki has so much to offer the tourist in relation to the rich history of the port and city and in relation to the devastation of the Atomic Bomb in 1945. The hotel certainly made our stay very comfortable indeed.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: This is one if the best hotel that I have stayed at. It is comparable to any 5 star hotel in the US,. The entire facility from lobby to room is top notch. AMU plaza a shopping mall containing restaurants and food stores is next door..
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
