This hotel had a wonderful location (you could see the Duomo from the entrance), friendly and informative staff, and while we did not try the breakfast (continental) it did look nice.
While I’m coming to the realization that many beds in Italy are quite hard, this one fit right in. The room was clean however and I would have no problem staying here again if I caught myself back in Florence.
Location and value for money
very good location near to duomo. breakfast is well.
there is no elevator. but most the rooms are in the first and second floor.
Wonderful location, easy to find, close to attractions and transportation, very friendly and helpful staff and very nice attitude from the hotel manager. The hotel is in the heart of the city, close to the main street but in a very quiet side street. Nice breakfast. Excellent value for money. We strongly recommend to anyone traveling on budget.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is central to major sightseeing.
second room we stayed in was shabby. Paint off walls and bedding inadequate.
Location location location! The staff is wonderful! All speak English wonderfully!! Very Friendly!!
The manager Francesco was very welcoming and helpful. He was so attentive and eager to help everyone. The reviews you provided mentioned him and how friendly he was and this was exactly so. The hotel is near to the station and the duomo and principal areas of interest, including shops. Our room was clean and everything worked well. I asked for another pillow and received one within 5 minutes. The hotel's balcony was a real bonus, a place to sit and relax as a change from the room. It really was better than I expected and made our stay in Florence more enjoyable.
For my short break and budget this was an excellent hotel. I will stay there again. In its category it was an excellent deal. The breakfast was fresh and quite adequate, if not better. If people want an extensive choice they should go to a bigger hotel and pay more. The mamager was always available to help, he constantly refurbished the breakfast bar etc., He could not have been better. There were not really any negative points for me. Previous reviews mentioned the lack of a lift, however, there were not too many stairs to climb and the building was light airy and very clean. There were no dingy awkward staircases to climb and a lift was not really essential, except perhaps for someone with very large ,heavy luggage. No negative points for us though!
Friendly & helpful staff, good location, good choice at breakfast
Great location, friendly staff, clean room.
The breakfast was basic, but this has always been the same when I've stayed in hotels of this price range in Italy so maybe it's the norm.
clean room, kind staff and close distance from station
there was no elevater, so we carry luggages
Staff were helpful, close to station and tourist attractions, we were given a room at the back which was quieter, but were able to sit out on the balcony in need
