Cons: The bathroom, closet and some other furniture is a bit old and could need a fresh-up.

Pros: The hotel is lovely. It's opposite some good beach bars where you can spend the day. The pool area is also great. Taxis to the Medina were no more then £1 and plentiful. The hotel decor was amazing and we got a great free upgrade. Staff very friendly. Definitely recommend

Pros: This is nice and calm place with very private attitude by staff. Many seating areas at common spaces as well at the room. Close from the seaside. Very polite staff.

Cons: I had to check out early. I'd be happy for to stay a little bit longer.

Pros: The location was brilliant, a 20mn walk from the Medina along the beach was a pleasure each time. The hotel itself is decorated with much attention to detail and is absolutely beautiful. The staff are extremely helpful yet very discreet. The rooms are also decorated tastefully and have everything you need and more. The pool is really pleasant and so is the terrace overlooking the beach. The welcome with mint tea and Moroccan treats was a really nice touch. I highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: The only thing I would maybe suggest is that the breakfast, although very comprehensive and tasty could be maybe different each day, especially for the people who stay for a week or more

Pros: When we entered the hotel we were absolutely wowed by the main hall, it's so nice! And after tea and some cookies we were brought to our room which was... massive (we had the suite, since we were 2 adults and 2 kids) and so nicely decorated! It felt almost like an apartment (no kitchen, though), being so big and having its own terrace. Breakfast was an absolute treat, with eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit salad and juice, lots of baked items... Really really good. The hotel is not quite at the centre of the city, it takes about 15 minutes to walk there. But it's a pleasant walk by the sea. And the restaurant nearby by the beach were really nice. The garden outside with the pool was also very nice. The staff was also really friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Cons: We really liked everything. To say something, the pool is deep, bear that in mind if travelling with kids.

Pros: The staff was very friendly, our room was nice (though a bit small for a family), the food in the restaurant was very good! We liked the location, it was a short walk to the beach, and also to the city.

Cons: The water in the pool was very cold! I think this is the case everywhere in Morocco, and maybe it was because of the season we were here, but it was really freezing.. (but not a problem for our kids, they jumped in anyway :-))

Pros: Fabulous place, staff where superb; really helpful and very friendly. Pool area was lovely with comfy loungers. Food was excellent. Overall loved it and would happily return!

Cons: Only downside is there isnt air conditioning, this was not a problem in October but could be in the summer months.

Pros: One of the best places I have stayed at. The stay became memorable because of the warm hospitality we received at this place. I spent my birthday at this place and the host went out of his way to help my friends plan a surprise for me. We were overwhelmed by the generosity. I would recommend this place to every soul visiting Essaouira. I would love to go back!

Pros: An intimate place run with love by a Spanish family and you can feel it. Amazing place to spend a few days in Essaouira.

Pros: The breakfast is good. The riad has good location right on the Medina.

Cons: We had 2 rooms, one family suite and one double room. Some of us changed riad after the first night. I guess not all rooms have this problem but in our room we had havey mold smell, the bed covers where moist and generally the room smelled bad. The carpet was old and smelly and the towels were old and looked dirty. When we talked to the manager she rejected all our claims about cleanningness by saying this is Essaouira wheater and there is nothing she can do and that the room is clean. Having said that, she did send two workers to clean the room with soap, brought new towels and spread perfume and candles around but I was not there anymore as two of us switched to a different riad.(we were 6ppl) Also, on a side note, I live by the ocean in a very humid city but I don't have mold in my house and we moved to a riad which is closer to the sea and also, not new but didn't had any problems. We slept in old riads during our whole trip.

Pros: Staff were so helpful, Riad is right in the middle of the Medina which is bustling, but inside is quiet and tranquil. Breakfast on roof top was great.

Pros: The guy in the reception at night was really nice and friendly. The room was really nice, and was nicely set for us.

Cons: When we arrive the people next to us were offered tea and cookies and we weren't. Most important for us is that we booked a room with a terrace, and we expected a real terrace.

Cons: I don't know why the place garnered so good reviews. We stayed here for a night and was relieved it's nothing more. Firstly, the place was not clean, the sheets were damp most of the time, the rooms are dusty and the floors are dirty. Secondly, the ground staff do not really speak very good English and that makes communication tough. Thirdly, their service was not forth coming nor were the staff welcoming. We will definitely not return to this riad.

Cons: It smells really bad everywhere 24/7 in the medina. I don’t mind the authenticity but was a bit too much.

Pros: Staff were always very very helpful. Wonderful view from upstairs terrace. Excellent location. Clean rooms. Rooms were a good size.

Cons: Breakfast was a little inconsistent. One morning we had eggs, the next morning we did not. Charged for coffee in the lobby; not made clear at the time.

Pros: The view for breakfast on the roof was perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Good location inside the Medina.

Cons: Room was a bit dark and damp but that tends to be the way of riads.

Pros: If approaching br car head for the Harbour (there are not many signs so perhaps a satnav would be useful) Park in the harbour carpark and call the hotel, they will send someone to guide you and bring your luggage. We stayed in a mini suite on the 3rd floor the view of the sea was amazing with huge opening windows. This side of the hotel is on the old city walls so the waves break just below you.

Cons: It is worth bearing in mind for the high season that the room had no air conditioning. The breakfasts are excellent but the evening meal is a little limited. There are many great little restaurants within easy walking distance.

Pros: I was completely blown away at the beauty of this old historic building. Definitely a wonderful surprise!

Pros: Right on the waterfront, this hotel boasted magnificent sea views, both from our second floor room, and the 360 degrees views from the restaurant on the 5th floor.

Pros: Great Riyad, clean, and nice classic style. but the location is inside the old city”Madina” so you need to walk about one and half km.

Pros: The staff is wonderful, the view from the roof terrace is amazing, and the location is quiet but still convenient to everything. The lobby and reception areas are gorgeous.

Cons: The rooms which don't have a sea view are nothing special, but they are clean and good value.

Pros: Superb site - and many rooms with magnificent views available on request. Staff could not be more helpful. Close to Médina shops and several nice restaurants nearby. Fabulous way to experience Essouira!

Cons: The towels were a bit thin and the bathroom a bit dated with warm enough water but but not hot.

Pros: Friendly staff,very good beds , lovely bathroom with a great shower. The breakfast room has a spectacular view above the ocean. The room was also very quiet.

Cons: The restaurant has a magnificent view but the ambiance -lighting and decoration -is just too depressing for dinner. Pity . The TV was not working. We stayed there in windy November and its nice and cosy to be able to switch on a TV for half an hour in the evening. They tried to fix it but it seemed most of the hotels TV system was down. Wifi is also very slow.

Cons: The sewers smelled really bad in both rooms, changed room but it was not better

Pros: Good location, big and beautiful room with a beautiful view. The staff were very nice but most of them didn't know English

Pros: Location was great and rooms were nice sized and courtyard and restaurant attractive.

Cons: Stayed on Christmas Eve and hotel had painfully loud live entertainment until 1:00am, forgetting that many guests actually check into hotels to sleep. Called front desk numerous times and no one answered the phone. Shut the music or the volume by 11pm. I’ll even suffer to midnight but beyond that I want my money back for not getting what I paid for; a nice nights sleep.

Pros: Excellent facilities, the comfort room was big and with a lot of light...great terrace with breakfast great laundry service and really nice complimentary massage...spent 2 marvellous days in this pretty riad...not to mention the floor heating
