the hotel is a little old fashioned and needs some up-dating - the central heating was not working, so electric heaters were installed but were slightly inadequate for the size of the rooms. That said, my room was on the ground floor, was comfortable and clean - a bit of old world charm !
the electric heater in the bathroom was not working at all. soap provided but no shampoo.
As it's an old building there is no lift
Very friendly helpful staff. Room clean and tidy- tea/ coffee/ biscuits provided. Continental style breakfast provided. Excellent value for city centre area. Near to local buses and train station.
Hotel could do with some refurbishment.
Come to the Ritz, with it's two-colour walls Carpets in bathrooms and shells in the halls A tray to nowhere, tartan floor Takes an hour to find your door The bar's expensive, staff are dour And best of luck if you want a shower But the location's ace, and the price 10/10 I fully recommend, would stay again
We were a group of 3 and we found the Room was small and very poor lighting in the bathroom. Definitely felt it was very overpriced for what we got especially when there was no lift. Decor needs serious updating very dated interior.
