Breakfast was great. Room facilities were great. The staff were excellent and very friendly and especially helpful to me when they noticed I was disabled needing a stick to walk. I was especially exhausted and in pain, from my neuropathic pain condition which is invisible to the eye, on my last night there when I returned from a late meeting at the Scottish Parliament. The young lad at reception kindly helped me with my backpack after I'd bought a well needed cup of tea.
The only very slight problem was that the bathroom in the accessible room 502 could have done with a wee bit of extra cleaning. It wasn't filthy by any means but perhaps the room is not used frequently and could have done with more regular sprucing up. More my fault than anything but it wasn't till the last morning that I was told by Platform 5 staff that there was a straight through connection from Reception to the pub/restaurant. I had been going outside then up the steps to where the breakfasts were served. It was just because of the pain and tiredness I was in that I didn't notice the door!
Very close to train, bus and tram connections. Cheap and served a purpose.
Toilet not flushed before arrival. A disgusting welcome!
The staffers where lovely and very helpful. This was my first ever stay at a hotel and they made me fell so relaxed and welcoming.
The room and shower room /toilet where just a bit to small for us. There was not enough coat hangers
clean, comfortable and friendly staff
Walls too thin, you could hear your neighbours
