Great location. Lots of late night bars nearby and very good restaurants, but the square itself is a bit of a haven which is nice. Popular with aircrews.
I would have liked to stay longer.
Friendly staff, big rooms, great gym (lots of free weights, kettle bells etc.). Had everything we needed and more. Perfect location and cool decor. Restaurant was great too.
Very comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Indipendently controlled central heating as well as air conditioning for each room. Wonderfull renovation in homely style. A few steps away from all the bars and cafes on rose st, more upmarket restaraunts on George St and all other amenities on Princes St.
very freindly and helpfull staff, very clean room,
nothing wrong with the hotel
Lovely hotel. Great position. Size of room great, little fridge which proved very useful and lots of tea, coffee and fresh milk in fridge everyday as well as complimentary snacks. Staff fab. Saying that was expensive considering city break, so we were out all day and did not use any of the facilities and our price was for room only. Nevertheless would highly recommend.
Overlooking one of Edinburgh’s prettiest private garden squares, Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel consists of seven interconnected Georgian townhouses. Outside is where you’ll find the New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s delightfully removed from the city’s tourist hubs. But it’s inside where things really get interesting. The newly renovated interior blends handsome woods, plush fabrics, and rich pops of color—and, yes, just a touch of tartan—to luxurious effect. And with a magnetic inner courtyard and an acclaimed Middle Eastern restaurant, it’s no wonder the hotel has become a natural meeting point and a sociable heart of modern life.
