The feeling of being in a time machine in a sense. Everything about this hotel just speaks history.
No complaints at all. Keep up the great work!
Room was very hot. I tried to cool it down but the thermostat was locked at set temperature. In all fairness , I could have called the front desk to ask if anything could have been done.
No complimentary breakfast
Great hotel filled with beautiful antiques.
Parking was horrible
Our stay at the Strater Hotel was very nice. We wanted a taste of the The West, and we certainly got it. I felt like I was staying in Miss Kitty's room! Great location.
The only thing I can say is I wish there were better pillows.
Will stay there again
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Not worth the money
Hotel is in a good location. There are some great restaurants and shops in the area.
There was no bellman available or bell cart available to help with our bags when we arrived. The furniture was dusty, wallpaper was starting to peal off the walls and ceiling. Thermostat was locked and we were not able to turn on the heater in the room. There was black mold in the grout on the floor. Ate in the restaurant/bar on property, food lacked flavor and was very greasy and not well prepared. On check out the elevator was not working so we had to haul our bags down three flights of stairs. My mom has had two knee surgeries and had some discomfort after the ordeal. Would not recommend this hotel.
Enjoyed our stay at the Strater Hotel. Ideal location in downtown Durango! Our room was clean and comfortable.
