Comfy robes and customized good quality toiletries relaxed us.Brownie bites, happy hours with tasty gourmet samples and genuine, kind greetings and conversations made us feel like a valued guest. Bottled waters and freshly baked goodies were given to us as a parting gift! Everyone should visit Antlers on the Creek! It is a tranquil home away from home to everyone who visits!

Pros: Great location, large rooms, superb king sized bed, very friendly and attentive staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We're repeat visitors and just enjoy everything about the hotel. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic and the staff who serve it is super friendly! The cruiser bikes that are available to guests are very convenient to zip around town. All of the stores, restaurants, bars, etc. are very close so no need for a car, which is huge. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are spotless. You are definitely made to feel welcome there. We look forward to our next visit!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast and cookies and great staff!
Cons: I felt the downstairs was very weirdly configured to have the bedrooms RIGHT next to the dining area. I could hear conversations of the diners when I was in the bathroom and shower. Walls thin. I understand it's an older place (and it's beautiful!) but it could use some updating. Also, very noisy outside in the courtyard all evening sometimes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is darling. When we saw the room I had reserved, we realized the bath room was too small and Shelby immediately showed us a bigger room, at no extra charge. The breakfast was delicious, we asked for seconds! It is included in the room price, but made fresh when you order. It is close to the train station and walking was easy. It was also a very romantic place to stay.

Pros: Charming little hotel adjacent to Durango's Main Ave. The place has all sorts of character. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The included hot breakfast was really nice.

Cons:  she is the manager in housekeeping, was very rude to other staff in front of us. She made us feel very uncomfortable and I can not believe she has the position she does in a customer service industry with her attitude and demeanor!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and accommodating
Cons: NA
6.3 Good
Pros: The actual room we stayed in was remodeled. The craftsmanship was mediocre but not enough to impact our stay. It was nice and spacious for a hotel room. Large kitchen area and vanity space. Quiet from street noise and other guests. Good breakfast.
Cons: Outside our room the remodel construction was is full display. Walls were bare and floor trim was missing. The elevator was very dirty and stair wells were missing the handrails. Construction materials located within the stairwells. Fire alarm in our room went off briefly at 5 am. Staying in a hotel under construction made us quite concerned when that happens. The front desk said it was an issue in the kitchen. Lastly, early morning kitchen staff was heard talking/laughing under our window (3rd floor). Fortunately it was only for about 5 minutes.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great kitchen and front desk staff. Friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making the stay enjoyable. The room was very large with lots of room to spread out. Bedroom and bath were comfortable, modern and clean. Help for a couple minor problems was a very short phone call away.
Cons: This hotel is in the midst of extensive renovations. Construction containers consumed multiple parking spots. Carpets were dirty and worn looking due to construction traffic throughout. Given the conditions caused by renovation work, the price was a bit extravagant relative to other comparable hotels in the area. However, given the weekend that we were there and the high demand for rooms, I understand that demand dictates prices, but I felt a bit taken having paid so much for less than perfect conditions.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated the wonderful, helpful staff; The breakfast was amazingly good!

Pros: The owners are super nice people, the room very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Parking lot is very tight, but I drive a big truck .
7.5 Good
Cons: Good for quick stay. Very dated! Linoleum bathrm floor and corners sure could use a good scrubbing. Electric outlet in bathrm extremely high next to light fixture over sink. They need to supply a stepping stool for anyone under 5’4”! That just didn’t seem safe to me.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Owners are working hard to bring this property up to standard
Cons: Location is a bit away from downtown. Not much around within walking distance.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: They have discount coupons in your room for local diners. Used them and found a new favorite breakfast cafe.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
Cons: We could see light around the door, and was drafty. The only heat was in the bathroom and the fan ran all night.
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great - so many items in such a little space! The room was ok, seemed clean and had everything you needed.
Cons: It was cold, and they couldn’t turn on the heat until October, so gave us little heaters to use. It seemed kind of dangerous to us.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We didn’t come to Durango to hang out in the hotel room. We were looking for someplace affordable, quiet, clean, and safe, with good beds. Small room, but it was clean - I mean immaculate. Comfortable beds. Fresh-cracked eggs at the complimentary breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. We will be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I loved the free breakfast. I was very surprised by the selection of food for breakfast. It's very close to all of the local attractions.
Cons: I can't think of a single thing that wasn't to my liking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendliness
Cons: Tight parking and tricky getting into hotel lot
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was actually quite comfortable. I wasn’t expecting that. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is great, room was clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast was good compared to similar free breakfasts at other places.
Cons: Mattress was not the most comfortable and room was pretty small. Air conditioning in room did not work very well.
6.3 Good
Pros: Bathroom very small-sink maybe 18” wide and shower/bath took long time and Luke warm. Breakfast mostly warm
Cons: Bed and bathroom facilities. Limited walking space around bed-close to wall. Temperature control. Limited parking accessibility.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Above my expectations. Pet friendly room was immaculate and fresh smelling. The breakfast Real eggs! Staff Were great check in/out. Hotel employee was so considerate and helpful. I accidentally left my new iPhone , she secured it and had it read
Cons: Only the parking lot pot holes.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: No Aircondition in the Room, but a large Fan. It's ok when outside not so Hot weather is.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was perfect for my family of 4. Staff was very friendly.
Cons: The stairs were very hard on my and my husband's knees. The lawn for my dogs was very uneven and I almost fell. The air conditioning system was not working and made sleeping uncomfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I have allergies. The GREAT thing was the hard surface floor in the room - NO CARPET to catch DIRT or allergens (that can never be cleaned out of a carpet). It was wonderful to not have to worry about what was in the carpet crawling around. A++ for an extra clean floor.

Pros: Very relaxing and an amazing view.
Cons: Everything was perfect. No complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Balcony view
Cons: Everything was great
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice spacious room with mountain view.
Cons: The kitchen sink was clogged! It could not be fixed during our stay. The staff was very friendly trying to resolve the problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I thought the location and the atmosphere were amazing outside and the views were incredible! The room itself was very cool and homey. I would definitely recommend people to stay here.
Cons: The smell and the feel of the place were a bit old and a little creepy. But there was other people outside which made it feel better. Other than that it was an amazing experience!! I can’t wait to come back.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: There was a lot of space, and amazing views.
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, attractive, well maintained.
Cons: Better instructions on how to unlock unit upon arrival.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, clean, comfortable, beautiful setting
Cons: Distance from Durango - 30 min drive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place. Clean. Spacious.
Cons: The wifi password did not work - tried multiple times. During the off-season, there are very few restaurants nearby. Of course, this is not the fault of the owner. I asked for late check-out and never heard back.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to trails. Had just about everything you needed in the kitchen, although the freezer inside the fridge is very small and the fridge was a bit temperamental (it froze eggs on the third day and we didn't change the temperature). Nice to have access to the fitness room for stretching as the room is cozy. Hot tub and pool available too. Fast WiFi. We would stay again.
Cons: It was a little stuffy in the room - a fan would have been helpful to get some more air in via the balcony door. We were on the highway side so leaving the door open at night for airflow was noisy. The overhead fan was helpful but getting cool air in would have been even better!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and nice amenities. So much nicer than a hotel room. Right down the road from Purgatory.
Cons: Some items in the property were in need of maintenance. Missing doorbell, nail pops in the ceiling, old ceiling water damage and a clog prone toilet. Overall we were very happy and would stay here again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property was nice if dated. I expected a little more for a luxury room at a ski resort. But, most everything was great and everything we used worked. I just did not like the check in method and not overjoyed with the checkout requirements but it was much better than paying for a maid every day. The place was well furnished and comfortable except the kitchen is very small, that is to be expected in this type of place. I would rate it 8 or maybe 85 on a 100 scale. The other 2 with me rate is the same, an 8. A note to the owner: raise the chandelier a few inches as we bumped our heads a couple of times at the dinner table.
Cons: The pool and hot tube were not available due to construction. The trash was very hard to get into due to the spring loaded lids to keep the animals out. No elevator but I am just being picky now.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Hotel is in a good location. There are some great restaurants and shops in the area.
Cons: There was no bellman available or bell cart available to help with our bags when we arrived. The furniture was dusty, wallpaper was starting to peal off the walls and ceiling. Thermostat was locked and we were not able to turn on the heater in the room. There was black mold in the grout on the floor. Ate in the restaurant/bar on property, food lacked flavor and was very greasy and not well prepared. On check out the elevator was not working so we had to haul our bags down three flights of stairs. My mom has had two knee surgeries and had some discomfort after the ordeal. Would not recommend this hotel.

Pros: Great hotel filled with beautiful antiques.

Cons: recommend offering cookies without nuts. otherwise. an overall great hotel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, next to the river and close to Main St. Pool was clean and heated. Nice outdoor bar and staff, located by river.
Cons: Hotel is pricey. I think it is lame they charge $10 a night for parking even though there's plenty of parking, in addition they have signs posted that they are not responsible for theft (they want your money but not the responsibility).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable and room very clean
Cons: Guests on the floor above us noisy and loud banging from 12:30 am to 3:00 am. Finally went to the manager on duty to complain.

6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: No window in room
6.7 Good
Pros: Close to the downtown area and to the train station.
Cons: The A/C didn’t work for our entire 3 night stay, resulting in very uncomfortably warm nights trying to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesome! So many added little touches!!!! Highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
Cons: Loved everything!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was superior! Friendly, accommodating, wonderful guest services. This hotel has so much historic charm with all the modern comforts. The balcony on the third floor was a wonderful place to relax in the evening, drink some wine, and watch the sunset. The hotel is located close to the train station, which was perfect for us because the Wine and Rails tour was the reason for our visit.
Cons: We booked an interior King room, but I didn't realize that meant it was a room without a window. It did have a nice sky light though, which helped alleviate some of the claustrophic feeling.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was great. Just had no a/c the days we stayed there.
Cons: Just the no a/c.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the Victorian accoutrements and the staff was amazing! Our room was beautiful and comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the D & RG come in. Great ambiance and wonderful staff!
5.4 Okay
Pros: The first 2 nights of our stay were miserable. The room was hot and stuffy. We were on the inside of the corridor, so there were no windows to open. We tried to see if we could change rooms, only to be told my the manager that there were no vacant rooms available. This explanation didn't fly, because there were empty rooms and check-in for new guests was at 4:00. (We called at 8:00 in the morning).
Cons: See above! Also it was advertised that the rooms were filled with antiques. So I guess that particle board 70's furniture now qualifies as antique?!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, plush robes, water and coffee in room, coffee and cookies in lobby, many sitting areas in lobby(all with great views)
Cons: The first night they put delicious chocolates in the room; so good with coffee. Then they ran out.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Without a window the air quality was solely dependent on mechanicals. There was a cleaning odor that was ever present. It was tolerable but not desirable.
6.3 Good
Pros: Loved the location and the historical factor. The hotel lobby is really nice. We stayed in the “palace” so I can not comment on the rooms in main hotel. The proximity to the train station was ideal.
Cons: Carpet was dirty. No heat in our room. Breakfast was minimal. I was fairly disappointed. For the price I was hoping for a bit more. We found a space heater in our closet so I’m pretty sure the heat situation was already known about.
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel was authentic to its original time. The decor and furnishings were beautiful. The location was great to town.
Cons: No one told us about the black soot from the train would be all over our vehicle. Our white truck and razor that we were pulling was black on all sides. We spent $8 on a manual car wash just trying to get the soot off. Our hands were black just trying to get in to the truck. It was awful. Other than that it was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Antique touches throughout in a very clean and peaceful environment.
Cons: I liked everything!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location. Within walking distance to downtown bars, Grocery, food and historic sites. Staff way awesome. Pool and rooms where very clean

Pros: very walkable
Cons: WiFi was barely working
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very nice, comfortable & clean.
Cons: No free WiFi or at least if there was we weren’t informed. We were not in the room a lot so it didn’t matter too much. No fridge or microwave but you could get a fridge for $20 extra. I would have liked to of had a place for my food but that’s ok. It was excellent for the price. No free continental breakfast, which I always love! It was still a clean room and great location and super friendly staff. Very satisfied, thank you.
