Cons: In the ‘backpacker’ dorm rooms it would be good to get a lock on the bathroom door (specifically 113) and more hooks in the bathroom.

Pros: Nice clean property in nice suburban neighbourhood just outside central Darwin. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom and nice balcony. Thanks to Garth, Diane and Shane - I really enjoyed my stay and if I return to Darwin I would definitely stay again at Paravista.Great swimming pool set in really nice well stocked and maintained garden. Really nice setting. 5 minute walk to Parap Shopping Village and just a couple of minutes to Parap Tavern. Close to Central Darwin, Museum and Darwin Waterfront etc. Very close to Cullen Bay where you can pick up ferry service to Tiwi Island.

Cons: Could have had a broom in a cupboard as it didnt take long for sand and dirt to accumulate on the floor from our shoes.

Cons: The locals hanging around the motel all night fighting and yelling. Cockroaches in the room, we never got clean towels the entire week we were there. The booklet in the room said there would be clean towels every 2 day if you left the towels on the floor witch we did. Nowhere to put the rubbish when the bin was full the motel needs to have a large bin on the property so guest's can remove there rubbish. I had a family of 4 and there was 3 mugs and 3 bowls in the dinner set. The freezer was all iced up and you couldn't even get a water bottle in it, so l spent an hour myself removing the ice build up. Shower head had water spraying all over the walls. Dishwashing liquid bottle was left empty, was not refilled had to buy our own. Tv had no sound on 7 mate channel asked staff member to have a look at it, did not fix the problem.

it has a great Cole supermarket across the street and all kinds of bars,coffee shop s, internet cafe and travel offices within a few steps.
Oh...yes there is a swiming pool. there is a parking for guests cars.
Nothing wasted like a fancy lobby.....the staff is friendly
