10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very trendy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extended our stay to do some shopping at South Coast Plaza, a quick walk from hotel. Always a perfect place to stay!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel, for the price I paid, was a pretty good value. The room was a good size. It was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet. The bathroom was nice and it had all of the amenities. I preferred the hardwood floors over traditional carpet. Good size TV. Convenient location, close to the freeway and the South Coast Plaza, among other things.
Cons: Our room didn't have a great view, but that's just the luck of the draw. I wasn't thrilled with the additional parking cost, but it's not unusual in California.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location. clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Cons: Dirty parking structure and dirty pathway to the main entrance to the hotel. Good toilet paper but cheap tissue paper.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal since its right off the 405 and close to the mall.
Cons: The hotel parking is $26-29 per day. There was a wedding on the property and parking became difficult at that time. There was also someone who pulled the alarm at around 12:45am and I had to climb down flights of stairs with my children in my arms asleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the cleanliness to the design to the staff just beautiful
Cons: Loved everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, beds were extremely comfortable

10.0 Excellent
Pros: from start to finish, and for the price, what a fantastic experience - the wonderful staff (front desk + valet) + the great room (wood floors, not wall-to-wall carpeting, wonderful bathroom + amenities - great stay all around
Cons: I'm not a fan of the decor (felt dated), but that's a personal thing - it was clean and had a great staff, that eclipses the decor for me
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the view of the lake around us as we relax and lounge in our room...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very elegant and safe neighborhood. Staff was kind and helpful.
Cons: Everything was great

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. For the price they should have free parking.
Cons: Cost of parking of night 28 per night to self park and 35 valet is ridiculous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the valet to the front desk to the housekeeping the service is excellent! The management of this property has exceeded our expectations. The beauty of the hotel in and out is indeed Heavenly. The fitness room and the pool is excellent.
Cons: The only thing we missed was a hot tub, and perhaps some small recreation area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable rooms.. awesome view of the giant christmas tree. Good tv with great channels and on demand movies for the kids
Cons: 29 dollar parking!!!! For guests.. that's way too high for guests already staying at a high end hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and view!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for shopping
Cons: Parking fees
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous staff who were always willing to assist. Nice touch of offering free bottled water upon our check-in for each of us arriving to our room check-in, and even valet staff and bell hops enjoying their work and always smiling made us feel welcomed.
Cons: Nothing at all. It was even nice to see that an NFL team was staying in this hotel and trusting your staff to make their stay pleasant during pre-season training.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Freindly staff, helpful bellmen, a large outdoor swimming pool and a great view of the city.
Cons: Refridgerator had no freezer compartment.
7.0 Good
Pros: Bridge to South Coast Plaza.
Cons: No jacuzzi. $29 for parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and they upgraded our room from the “Murphy” bed that was on the reservation.
Cons: Self parking was $29. Yikes.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and view.
Cons: Nosy questions from the check-in desk, barking dog in neighboring room, broken TV control, trashy, slovenly dressed guests everywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff who were friendly and professional, including parking attendants, registration, room service and maids. Room was clean, updated, and large. Free water was a plus. The hotel is close to great restaurants.
Cons: Parking fees were high but not outrageous for the area. Rooms were mostly quiet but our neighbor must have been standing next to the door to connecting rooms during a cell phone call. It was loud and we could hear every word.

4.0 Okay
Cons: This is definitely not a 4 star hotel in the traditional sense. Sure there is a restaurant and pools etc but it is dated, confusing and the rooms/beds are no better than a 2 star hotel. Very disappointing.
7.9 Good
Cons: Parking spaces are extremely tight. The wheels of our car (not truck or SUV) were on the lines on both sides of the space. Thought that breakfast was included but it wasn’t. Check the fine print on your booking
7.0 Good
Pros: 69%
Cons: Bring back breakfast part of the stay and not pin to details, like read the fine print! I have history w Ayers for 5 years recent!
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Cons: The hotel in currently remodeling. Lots of construction and noise. This should have warranted a lower price.
7.1 Good
Pros: Central to Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. Both are a quick Uber or Lift ride away. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: Renovations in the front made for challenges getting rides out. The hotel was full of people there for business meetings. The bar and the room smell like an old library. Old mahogany and dated finishings. The hotel was a good value, but we stayed in 4 hotels in 8 nights and this one seemed the most aged. There are not great dining options in this area either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, private and exclusive
Cons: Door from outside pool leading upstairs was locked, so I had to go all the way across bottom floor to the elevator then all the way across again.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Not a 4-star hotel. Do not book if you are expecting 4-star
1.0 Poor
Pros: I booked because the price would have been good for a 4 star hotel
Cons: Not a 4 star hotel. We were woken up by house keeping at 8am even though we had the do not disturb sign on our door. They were also doing roofing work right outside our room starting at 9am so we checked out early even though we wanted to sleep in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed super soft and pillowy.
Cons: Miss the buffet included with stay, pool size & outdoor area small—house of operation end early.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The first person I met at the front desk was warm, welcoming and very friendly.
Cons: The staff at breakfast, with the exception of the one waitress, was rude, communicated poorly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: My room was located near the open lounge area which was noisy from other patrons.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and Very comfortable Room. 2 pool areas ,cabanas, work out room. Excellent customer Servics. Exceeded my expectations for a GREAT price!!!

7.0 Good
Pros: Clean spacious room. Nice meeting room for the reunion.
Cons: No one told me there was a charge for breakfast to after I ate, the the cost was way higher that it should have been. I paid $19.95 for a breakfast that is usually free at a place that costs this much per night.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Request to clean room but when I return to room find out no room clean service At all request front desk to ask clean room but they told me it’s too late now to do fix bed and room cleaning I request for new towel to replace Use in bath. Finally they exchange Was not happy for new additional charging high parking fee and breakfast fee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, relatively nice rooms.
Cons: There were a lot of dishes and glasses just randomly sitting in the hallway for days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and attentive. The bed was super comfy! The property was quiet so it was easy to rest. The restaurant was excellent!
Cons: Powder creamer for the coffee.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Great area with variety of food choices nearby.
Cons: They charged my room for room service and 2 car parkings at $20 each, I have not received any reply.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable we slept really good. I loved the shower head. Thank you for providing us coffee in the room. We will stay again!
Cons: No fan in the bathroom. That's all I can think of. Everything was GREAT!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was comfortable and clean
Cons: Staff could be better
7.5 Good
Pros: Desiree (sp) was awesome! Rest of the staff ( front desk) was below average..with the exception of the restaurant staff. I hate when young men treat an older woman like she’s unfuckable so therefore invisible. The day staff was unhelpful at best. Desiree is a jewel give this girl a raise. Your whole staff should take a course in customer service from her. She gets it.
Cons: Hot tub lukewarm
7.0 Good
Pros: The friendly staff
Cons: It read under construction and a hassle to park
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to seminar, restaurants, and shopping malls.
Cons: $14 dollars a day for parking. I can see if flying and leaving car for time not staying in hotel. But to charge guests is bit much. Also price of buffet breakfast is a little steep at $19.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely appointed rooms. All of the staff that I interacted with were very nice and helpful. Room service was good, I appreciated their strict no party policy (they display this on the check-in counter); hotel itself was quiet upstairs even though they hosted two events while I was there. I had asked for a quiet room and didn't have a great location (faced busy road and also close to the freeway) but I was still able to sleep with the a/c running all night for white noise (half of the hotel is bordered by the freeway on one side and a busy street on another). I really liked the waterfall/rain shower head in the bathroom. Very comfy bed!
Cons: It seemed like the room sloped down significantly about 3 feet from the window :). There was also a musty smell in the room that seemed to come from the a/c/fan unit. Parking was not great. Originally had to park in the garage and the spots were TINY and I had a toyota corolla which should be easy to park. I didn't think their cable tv offering was great and there was no guide channel/function that worked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location.
Cons: None

Pros: The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.
Cons: The entire lock on the back entrance door, right next to our room, was broken and hanging, anyone could come in. There was a fight in the stairwell that night, walls were being punched, screaming and yelling, stomping up and down the stairs. This went on for several hours. I did call and report it to the front desk. When we got back to our room at midnight there wasn't any parking. We had to make a decision to park illegally in handicapped and the elevator was under construction. Good thing our room was on the 1st floor.

Pros: Location
Cons: Slow service, rude front desk, rude guest services, no ice on floors (had to call it in). Staff members gave different answers (ie, we needed a wine bottle opener. One staff member said they don't carry them, while another said that they can bring it up)

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was nice and comfy !
Cons: Size of the room for what you pay for .
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great location. Great shuttle service. Modern facilities. Polite staff.
Cons: Woke in the middle of the night to an ant biting me in the bed. Turned on lights and found several ants in the bed. Went looking and found ants in the bathroom and on the coffee pot. Bad night! Complained to front desk on checkout. Just got lip service and no further follow up.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Room air was broken and staff knew. Ended up moving twice
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: I booked a hotel for two nights for my coworker. In hotel room # 309, there was a roaring sound all day, and he could not sleep at all. The next morning, I wanted to change my room, but there was only an equivalent room, and I waited until 16:00. When the room was ready, the staff told me to send a text message or call me, but there was no call. Also, regarding the desire to change the room, the second night was unavoidably changed to a higher-grade room, but a high additional cost was paid. We were told that we would have free access to the lounge, but we don't want that. I just wanted to rest in a quiet room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, great location. However, parking costs $36/day was way too expensive.

7.0 Good
Pros: Cute beach themed rooms. Adequate and price was more than fair.
Cons: Blvd needs to upgrade pillows, sheets, and towels. Too old. Sheets and pillowcases feel grainy and towels are rough. Outside Doors need to be adjusted because they slam hard and are very loud and the Windows need to be replaced because all outside conversations can be heard when people walk by the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very up to-date boutique motel.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Morning staff woman is a bit unwelcoming and argumentative.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean, safe place with great staff!
Cons: Noisy road and the shower pressure was weak!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: perfect for out stay
Cons: no
5.7 Okay
Pros: The decor was nice.
Cons: They charge an additional $100 upon arrival as deposit for the room which I was not aware of and didn’t have the money for at the moment and would not allowed out of the reservations and no exceptions would be made. Then at 11pm at night some young girls next door began talking probably in a normal voice and I could hear every word. One girls was on the phone and I could clearly hear the person she was talking to on the line. The walls are paper thin. The night front desk person was great and helpful and moved me immediately. Clearly an issue he had to deal with regularly. I wouldn’t say it was these girls fault at all. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Pros: I don't eat the breakfast there - I always have my own food - I like the fact there is a normal coffeemaker, fridge, and microwave
Cons: Sometimes there is excessive noise - but that happens everywhere - rowdy people at night partying Also- because of the location - on Newport Blvd....there are sometimes homeless or a bad element lurking around

Cons: Needed more movie channels.

Pros: The clean proparty
Cons: The breakfast can be better

Pros: Missed early breakfast fare but was pleased that cereal, bagels and fruit were still available to me at 9:30 am. Location was great...very close to Costa Mesa Country Club where I was attending an event, and within walking distance of 7-11 store and corner shopping center with Starbucks and major grocery store.
Cons: Mattress in Room 104 needs to be replaced, has a "dip" on right side of bed where most people (apparently) have slept over some time...slept in middle of bed and was comfortable. Decor was late '80's, but everything very clean, including carpet. No unpleasant or heavy cleaning product smells.

8.2 Excellent
Cons: Walls are paper thin. Can hear everything
7.5 Good
Pros: I like how modern the property was compared to other locations I have stayed at. It felt more like a boutique than a chain which I liked. The service was great upon check in and fast as well. A few moments after getting to my room the front desk called to make sure I found the room okay and offered their assistance when needed. I thought that was a nice personal touch that the other locations did not provide. The room was comfortable and spacious and the king size bed was huge! I noticed the brochure on the desk mentioned that Motel 6 has an extended stay brand that I will check out at some point. I didn't know that even existed. They also have an app, although I guess there is an app for everything now. Really great service at this location and I look forward to returning. I love that there was a microwave as well as a mini fridge in the room!
Cons: I noticed stray hairs that were definitely not mine on the "clean" towels that were provided and one on the bed when I checked in. That was the only downfall. There was no clock either however, with cell phones these days we don't really need that.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for overnight stay for the event we participated in, the 2018 Orange County Marathon.

Pros: It was alright.. kind of hidden motel.. but it was okay.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room and location were very nice, as expected for a Motel 6. The staff was not that friendly. My girlfriend and I both felt under constant suspicion by the staff and ended up leaving early, checking in at the Red Roof Inn that was 100% better.
Cons: Overly suspicious staff, even after following the rules of providing ID, vehicle information, and guest ID
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very attentive staff.
Cons: Wifi was incompatible with my devices and there was no LAN option to plug into.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Very outdated
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good neighborhood. They had best Wi-fi I've ever used in motel all over the US - I was able to download few gigabytes of video just for a few minutes. Also i had long video-chat with no problem with connection.
Cons: Small parking. They got limit - one car per one room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Impressed that they let us check in upon arrival which was 11 am!
Cons: Would have been nice to have breakfast available earlier. But understand that it was our early flight that made us miss it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to things we need and airport
Cons: Had a musty smell.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, the room was nice, the staff was super nice and very accommodating. We had an issue with our room smelling like smoke the very last day of our stay (were non-smokers) and they were willing to work with us and provided a new room. This property was great and I would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The location is a bit far from pretty much everything other than the John Wayne airport, but if you're willing to uber or have a car, it's not so bad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, well maintained, quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Also, reception staff were very friendly.
Cons: My carpet had a large wet patch by the sink, and the bathroom is very tiny!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The customers service was one of the best experience of the hotel.
Cons: There was nothing that i did not like about my hotel experience.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location
Cons: Loud people in the next room and I had to call twice because they were being loud and fighting. I had to call front desk twice, I slept 4 hour only and payed $---. Was not fair pay with the way I was treated.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and Staff
Cons: As one of the reviews mentioned lumpy pillows. Yep, lumpy pillows and too tall for my neck.
7.1 Good
Pros: Bed was comfy (other than sheets falling off) and TV worked well. They had some protein (yogurt, egg and sausage) for breakfast, although it wasn’t necessary good. The wait staff in the food area was very nice.
Cons: Not dirty but not clean feel either. Peeling paint, cracks and some holes here and there made it feel very run down. Water pressure was horrible. Bed linens moved too much. Sheets constantly coming off and the blankets separating making the rough top part touching the face and if you pushed it down the middle blanket, that usually doesn’t get washed, was exposed. It just made for a night of fussing with sheets and blankets. AC had an odd smell every so often and was pretty loud, but that is common for all motels of this level so it isn’t necessarily a negative. For breads at breakfast it was pretty slim pickings. Nothing was “plentiful” and only bagels, English muffins or bread. No pastries or muffins. The pancakes that came from the machine were too small to make it worth the wait. Silver dollar sized.
7.0 Good
Pros: Price
Cons: Room was stuffy and smelled bad-cleaning chemicals. Room should have been aired out
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great location, several stores near by, also close to the freeway
Cons: had to change rooms cause the toilet had a leek.
7.0 Good
Pros: It had a very convenient location.
Cons: The beds were too firm to sleep comfortably and the chairs in the room were not comfortable to sit in for long periods of time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: new floors, good air conditioning, convenient location
5.7 Okay
Pros: Soft bed. Topper seemed laundered. Courteous, compassionate front desk. Swift check-in. Adjustable shower head; tall person approved. Room included microwave and fridge. Allegedly-quiet property. It is removed from the 55: no traffic noise. Had there been civil adults lodging it would have been quiet. Major surfaces clean. 6 rolls of toilet paper precariously stacked atop two rollers. Facecloths, handcloths, but child-sized towels. Absorbent towels. Soft, thick, foam-like pillows. Beds did not creak. Blinds overlap could blackout sun. A medium table suitable for workspace. Extra HDMI port on tv: I always bring my own Kodi media device and SSD. NFC card entry on room door. Deadbolt. Spacious room for what it was: 2 queens. Would give property one more chance. I prefer Ayres Hotel 100:1.
Cons: Prius-driving, recalcitrant, bellicose neighbors deprived us of sleep from 11pm until 4am. THIN walls: could not escape prius driver's 12am-2am mobile phone conversation on the walkway anymore than innapropriate volume discourse in adjoining room Toilet clogged on first non-liquid use. Fridge set to minimum level destroying our ice cream and food; $40 in food wasted. It likely would have taken 8 hours to drop to temperature. Horrific cleaning product smell. Air conditioner thermostat dysfunction. Rust spatter on bathroom door backside from heavily rusted hinges. Fluorescent bulbs in all 3 fixtures with VERY LOW luminosity. No shampoo. Towels not long enough for athletic adult waist size. No extra pillows. DIRTY bedframe skirts. Dearth of electrical outlets. Nightstand sockets LOOSE: chargers would not remain plugged. WIFI THROTTLED TO USELESSNESS: 52 kilobytes/second. GROSS in-room phone. Never cleaned? TV Remote not routinely wiped. Giddeon-placed Bible had been vandalized. Should have been replaced.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: recently refurbished , large rooms, pillow top mattress, flat screen TV, clean and modern
Cons: no complaints

5.4 Okay
Pros: Close to the hospital. Budget price for location.
Cons: Mechanical clanging in the wall kept my up all night. Old hotel may have been remodeled, needs paint and a deep cleaning, very thin walls and ceiling No secondary lock on the door Stained sheets Mold in the shower
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was decently clean. Carpet was slightly dirty, but didn't have overly high expectations. Parking was not ideal, not a very big lot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to Orange County Fairgrounds.
Cons: No smoking in rooms, but that doesn't keep people from smoking outside of their rooms. Our room reeked of marijuana after someone felt the need to light it up outside their room while we had the air conditioner running.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and fairly quiet.
Cons: The bed wasn't so comfortable. Towels were dirty and/or stained, even when new from housekeeping. The carpet was worn and stained in high traffic areas.

Cons: The room had a weird smell to it, TV was nice but reception was poor, only had upstairs rooms and no elevator.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super friendly and helpful in the room was very clean modern and nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much Room had just what we needed It was quiet and cozy too!
Cons: Everything was fine.

Pros: I enjoy the front desk staff , was exceptional service and his jokes kept me laughing. He was very knowledgeable of about the surrounding area with places to eat, shop and entertainment. Front desk, was a pleasure and because of him, I would return.
Cons: Anything you can do better would be not to un-magnetize key card before the check-out time. Manager was on duty, gave an excuse instead of apologizing. We were in our room for the night and went to eat at the Grill, came back locked out. Not Good!!!

Pros: The housekeeping staff was extremely helpful and wonderful customer service. The General Manager went well above and beyond what most General Managers do.
Cons: I was extremely upset at an employee who is at the management level. Her customer service is horrible. It was not only horrible towards myself, but I also watched how she interacted with other guests.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing. Not as advertised and filthy.
Cons: Room was dirty, not like picture advertised. Toilet filthy, sheets not changed
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying with my boyfriend, we wanted a cheap place close to the beach. For a motel, it was in good shape and was all we needed for our few nights. Rooms were tiny, but had everything we needed and were comfortable. Wood floors made it seem more modern, and the simplicity was nice. The bed was comfortable and it seemed nice and clean. Ten minute drive from Huntington Beach was easy and free parking is a plus!
Cons: I am picky when it comes to showers, and the nozzle was low and I didn't have enough towels. After being at the beach, it was hard to rinse my hair out, but it did not effect my overall comfort level of my stay. Still an awesome cheap hotel.

4.8 Okay
Pros: The location was good and the room decor looked modern. The parking lot was large so it was easy to find a spot. There were a lot of food choices nearby.
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable and squeaked every time you moved, the wood floors were really dirty - within 10 minutes of walking on the floor with white socks the bottoms were black. There were dead bugs in the corners and live bugs at night. The AC didn't work very well. The bedding sheets were rough and the blankets were paper thin. The shower trickled out water and the shower heads were really low - even for me and I'm 5'5.
4.0 Okay
Pros: I liked that when there was a problem with my room. they changed it with no problem.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that I saw a roach in my room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: There was hair all in the bed when we checked in, housekeeping changed the bedding and then when my mother, (who drove all the way from Connecticut to see me btw) went to put her medication in the fridge and it was disgusting, a photo is attached. When she went to the desk the response she got was “why didn’t you check the fridge when housekeeping was in theor earlier?” One would assume if you’re paying almost 100 dollars to stay for the night, you shouldn’t have to inspect every inch of the room to make sure it is clean.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Fast and friendly check in.
Cons: The hotel room smelled of smoke and all our clothes smelled of cigarette smoke. I was also given the wrong hotel room with two beds instead of one.

6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.

Pros: The hotel was nice for the value. The staff was very nice. They watch and calculate and make you sign everything even pool towels. It was a little interesting.
6.0 Good
Cons: Hotel is old & dingy. Needs an upgrade. First room we got, the a/c unit was making a high pitch sound. 2nd room the a/c didn't work at all. Breakfast sucks. Your choice is eggs with veggies, bagel, plain yogurt or cereal. Wouldn't stay again.

Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Carpeting needs replacing or cleaning . I am not a light sleeper but the people staying directly overhead, possibly a young family, were running back and forth until nearly 1 AM. I will request a room not on the ground floor for my next visit .
