5.4 Okay
Pros: The B&B is very centrally located. That is all the positive thing I can say about it.
Cons: 1. The owner changed the address of the facility but never informed us. It took us (both sixty plus) almost two hours with two large suitcases to find the B&B facility. The actual B&B where he made us stay was named differently (B&B Catania Etna) and was located at a different address (via Etnea, 198) than the address provided through 'booking.com'. A photo of the property front is attached here. 2. The owner does not accept any credit cards for payments. 3. The room was stuffy and the a/c didn't work properly.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and central
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This b&b is simply amazing...location is fabulous, right in the heart of via Etnea. Staff offer a great service and the rooms are super clean..definately recommended. Tasha, Malta.

Pros: The location it was perfect and reachable for shopping and restaurants even for the public transport.but from the booking.com the hotel address is writen 290 via etnea but they told us that 3 years ago moved to same street but the nbr was 196.so if you please arrange it .I,m very satisfied for my staying in b&b massimo

Pros: Nice staff, breakfast was okay, nice room and view.
Cons: Wrong adress on the booking so we had problems with finding the b&b.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very quiet room tucked off the busy street. Hosts were excellent when flight was severely delayed and waited up until very late at night for our check in. Spacious and comfortable room.
Cons: Bathroom was a little bit dirty/mouldy. Bath/shower didn't drain very well.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank You Carmelo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very central location, near all of the main attractions. Anyone good on their feet can easily travel about Catania from this location. If you have a car Carmelo is excellent at helping you find a location to park. Carmelo gave out his personal contact information so that you could reach him for help at any time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Carmelo and his brother with the staff Christian were very helpful and nice. The location of B&B is more than perfect ( city centre) . With all my heart we recomend this accomodation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location super central! Extremely professional and welcoming owner. Clean and large room and bathroom with personality. Good price. Very quiet aircon that you control yourself. Cool UNESCO listed building. Lots of charm.
Cons: Very noisy - old building, could hear neighbour's every word, and the fan, flush, footsteps etc. from rooms adjacent and above. Also people coming and going outside my door. A few times it was so loud I thought somebody was actually IN my room. But street noise was really limited, and with earplugs you would probably be fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, great communication with Carmelo, room was in nice sicilian style :)
Cons: Although double window, I heard noises from a bar, which is located very close.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was amazing, clean and the entire setup with the common area and the kitchen was lovely. We had a little mishap when the water was shut off all night due to technical issues but given the immediate response and apologies from everyone, I cannot put this down as a negative. It happens.
Cons: Stairs, stairs everywhere. It's not just this B&B, you need to be aware that in historic city centers, the buildings are very very old and without elevators. If you have problems climbing up stairs, then you need to ask before booking.

Pros: Breakfast was okay and the staff was very helpfull. But a little bit less enthousiast would be nice. They kept talking in the morning while we wanted have breakfast quietly.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location and convenience of the purpose of our trip. Less than 2 miles to the next town of Fornozzo.

6.7 Good
Pros: Very cozy and homey with a friendly woman working there. Nice rood top terrace with a view.
Cons: There was a dog outside that barked late into the night and then started again from 5:30 in the morning until about 7:30 am. We all woke up totally exhausted. No worker stays there overnight, so you can't actually complain to none.

Cons: The room was clean, but not the cleanest you can get. Not to the point that bothers you, but to the point you notice.

Pros: Location is very central. The bathroom is big. In the breakfast you can choose one very delicious pastry and a hot drink, but for us it was enough, because the pastry was big and full of stuffing.

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: A substantial breakfast and attentive friendly service. Christian gave lots of helpful advice about Catania and how to get around it. As first time travellers to Sicily B&B XX Miglia gave us a positive introduction to the region.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Nice little family B$B run by two friendly and helpful guys. Really nice place for the price--flat screen, air conditioning, everything brand new. Breakfast was great--in a surprisingly ornate room covered in frescoes. Centrally located. Highly recommended.
Cons: I stayed in one of the attic rooms, which had a giant head-bumping beam at about 5'9". Wi-Fi was pretty iffy, although they did their best to get it working.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff
Cons: No extrem cons. Maybe parking zone and restrictions.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host were excellent, really nice guys gave us a warm welcome and lot of useful information. Gave us also some nice gestures (tee, coffee in the room, drinks in the reception fridge). The room was nicely designed, the bathroom was perfect. The breakfest was served in the roof terace under a tent, very good atmosphere.
Cons: The building itself in a quite bad shape, but the accommodation was great. Be prepared: no elevator, you should carry your staff to the top floor. The room was calm but you can hear the noises from the hallway.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazingly nice and helpful as well as the amazing breakfast. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would recommend this place to everyone
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good (although best not walking through the street on the top of the b&b when coming out) and we got great tips from the owner. Also, they have an agreement with a car park nearby, which is easy to reach from outside Catania, which means you don't get into the crazy traffic of the city. Totally recommended if you have a car!
Cons: The shower door was broken but that has easy fix.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Very nice B&B. Would recommand it anytime.
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Although there wasn't a fridge in the room, it was possible to buy drinks from the reception/entry hall. The room and bathroom were pretty and clean. The property was close to Alibus bustop so it is easy to get from/to the airport.
Cons: Neighbourhood where the B&B is. We felt that the area was unsafe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host who was most accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Although B&B was on the 3rd floor, the steps leading up were very wide for hauling up the luggage. The beautiful paintings on the ceiling were a nice touch to the room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, great room, comfy bed, excellent breakfast
Cons: The neighbourhood looks a bit rough - but so does a lot in Catania

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing ! Our room was sparkling clean during our stay. The receptionists succeeded to fulfill all of our funny and childish requests.

6.7 Good
Pros: Nice interior and rooms comfortable. Seems it is a student residence / hotel in holiday season

Pros: From all my heart I can recommend the Miro B&B hotel ! I will never forget what Lucia and Roberta ( hotel owners) have done for me. on second day of my stay in Sicily I got unwell, had complications with my pregnancy. Wen I asked Lucia via text if she knows address of emergency Hospital in Catania, she replied straight away. Then suddenly by my surprise ,she appeared in the hospital next to us like an angel from the heaven. She helped me and my mum with all translating and stayed with us in hospital with us till it was needed and till she knew I was fine. Unfortunately, for the rest of my holidays in Catania I had to stay in the hotel, lying all days in bed and take my medication. Lucia and Roberta kept bringing every day friends who were nurses all they had first aid training to do my injection. She kept checking on me and making sure that I don't leave room :) Which I find very sweet . THANK YOU Lucia for your good heart, sympathy and for your helpful hand. A big thank you for Roberta as well. I promise that I will come back to you again one day, and that in the bigger team :)) And then definitely I will visit all of Catania and the surrounding areas ! Something what I couldn't do at this time. Thank you so much !!!! P.S. Hotel was very clean, breakfast was very nice and location great. There a small bakery very close to the hotel, pharmacy, bars and pizza restaurants Very close to the main centrum.

Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. 7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely building, Good size room, stored our luggage, comfy bed, handy for bus and rail. Good cappuccino if you ask for it at breakfast. Reasonable choice of food, some good some bad. Although no drinks in the fridge other than water, there is a reasonably priced vending machine near the breakfast room.
Cons: The air conditioning wasn't on in our room, and it was impossible to find any instructions or work out how to use it. They turned it on at reception for us, but then I didn't dare adjust it! Not the normal remote control system. Poor juice at breakfast and the coffee from the urn was undrinkable (but cappuccino good). Not a very pleasant walk to the Old Town, (but if coming by rail you would have to go that way anyway if you were staying elsewhere)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel made up for any negatives. Both reception staff where incredibly helpful. Riccardo made sure we got everywhere we want to go safely. You both do your hotel proud. Hotel located close to train and bus station.
Cons: You had to walk quite a while to get to the shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the walk included going into not no nice roads. Catania itself is full off graffiti and nor at all clean.
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent

Pros: All staff were exceptionally friendly & polite, breakfast was excellent and staff went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very nice, with an eclectic interior decorative scheme that was quite interesting. The staff was also very nice and professional. The breakfast was also quite good, in a beautiful interior courtyard.
Cons: The hotel location was not optimal, being a ways away from the historic city center, and not located in the best of neighborhoods. Restaurant selection in the immediate area was OK, but not great. The shuttle to and from the airport was a commercial cab, and quite expensive.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location near central station with 24 hour reception and friendly staff. This is ideal for making day trips to other towns.
Cons: Dated hotel but it is simple and comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff, Courtyard, Breakfast Area, location to Airport.

Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. One of the staff (whose name was Stephanie) was very impressive., working enthusiatically with warm and beautiful smile.
Cons: When I booked the room, I especially requested to stay in a nonsmoking room. However for some reason, when I walked into a room at check-in, I smelled smoking scent very strongly. I asked them to switch the room, but they said thereis no availabe room on that day. So we had to sleep in that room. It was somewhat frustrating and unpleasant. Next day we could move to other room which is more decent and clean.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: The aperitifs were very expensive. Although the food was ‘free’ it was not good value. I would have liked to be able to purchase just drinks. The bathroom in our room was very fusty and the whole room was very faded and jaded. The carpet was badly stained.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The food offered on the rooftop was excellent!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent location excellent
Cons: Using two different elevators was necessary to reach our room. This was obviously due to the fact that the building was constructed several hundred years before elevators were invented and there were no other structural solutions. The exterior of the building itself was shabby by American standards. After entering the building through a street level door, we took an elevator to the lobby which was on the fourth floor. Once we overcame our initial trepidation , the atmosphere was welcoming and the decor was pleasant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the Hotel Manganelli Palace were extremely kind and helpful. Nothing was too much effort. Stephanie who worked on the breakfast shift one morning made us great cappuccinos - decaf and regular. She knew how to look after customers. Such a lovely lady! The beds were very comfortable so we slept well too.
Cons: Great people, location, breakfast but please clean or replace the carpets, especially the ones on the corridors as they are not clean.

Cons: Wifi can be a little weak in some rooms.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location in via Etnea is so close to everything. The staff were friendly and kind. We had a nice large room with super comfortable beds. The room also faced an inner courtyard and was calm and quiet. Excellent hotel for a visit of Catania and surrounding regions
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was provided in the cafe next door which also doubled as a wool shop!
Cons: Breakfast choice and location.
5.8 Okay
Pros: situated in heart od Catania
Cons: old room, so many things were broken, long period for hot watter, basic breakfast, higher price for low services
4.5 Okay
Pros: I was given a room in an adjacent building and ended up being locked in the building. I was charged for a large room which I had not requested which almost doubled the rate. As a solo traveler, I didn't feel safe in the building and didn't sleep. The decor needs upgrades, it's not at all cozy or warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had a perfect location being just 10 mins away from the city centre on a nice big street. The bus stop of the Airport bus (Alibus) is just 5 mins away on the same street. Very clean and comfortable with a big bath. Friendly and helpful staff, gave us a map and answered all of our questions. Very nice breakfast - variety both local products and generic stuff like musli and milk. The option to have an espresso there instead of only Americano from a jug, however, surpised me :)
Cons: Nothing negative to say about this place :)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice helpful staff. Easy to get to via the airport bus loop. Not the closest to the centre. Good selection of restaurants within 10min walk. Arancini’s Express is a bit further ;)
6.7 Good
Pros: staff, location, size of room
Cons: room decor, cleanliness (old stained pillows covered with clean pillow cases)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent. Clean and spacious
Cons: Coffee facilities in the room would have been nice as we had to leave at 5 in the morning and there was no where to have a coffee

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, breakfast very good for the price.
Cons: A bit noisy (AC, people walking outside on the floor, the/my room/s seem to be not very well isolated).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable and excellent breakfast
Cons: More information on the area when checking in
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast with a good choice at a great price, great coffee served by the barista, very good access from the airport by public transport, comfortable double bed (double mattress ...... not made of two single). This is my Hotel for my next stay in Catania - no doubt about it. Good personnel willing for help and providing tourist advice's.
Cons: All was OK
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and a decent location. Both the reception desk staff and the kitchen staff were very helpful and courteous, helped us find activities to do in our last day /and recommended the perfect place to dine near the hotel/ in Catania and were generally great. The room was quite spacious, very clean and with excellent amenities. Plus, it was a pleasant surprise that one of the receptionist spoke fluent Bulgarian.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: close to downtown and close to airport - but close in Catania, does not mean easy: they tried to have signs, but the lacy of streets, there, is difficult to navigate (driving!) : but they did their best.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good size room with spacious bathroom. Parking is secured and valet but have to pay €9 per night (book in advance). Hotel is near the city centre so that is probably ok instead of parking on the street. Breakfast is only €3 per person per day but could offer better quality or variety. Coffee was free during breakfast and good!
Cons: 1.) Fix your internet. It was barely working. Bad bad bad. It is 2019! Fast internet is essential. It will also help not having 10 different names for your Wi-Fi per floor. Get your IT guy to fix this 2.) Hotel is far from city centre. Probably 10-15 min walk. It is UPHILL back to the hotel from centre. Dark streets between hotel and centre at night 3.) Shower on bath tub with only a small glass pane. Bathroom floor will be wet after you shower

7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Bed- very uncomfortable. Rooms old.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The kingsize bed was very firm, exactly how I like it. Very happy with the bed. Room 401 was large, with a large balcony. Soft drinks and water in mini-bar were free. Minor grumble: No kettle / coffee making facilities.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was OK. Nothing amazing about it. The courtyard was great for meals and after dinner drinks.
Cons: A couple lights were out in the bathroom, the hair dryer would go out after a minute or two and you had to wait a few minutes for it to get going again. Nothing to do really in the immediate area but not too far to walk to some nice attractions.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff and location
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Hotel premises and facilities are outstanding.
Cons: Only not so positive aspect was distance of hotel to places of interest, and difficult parking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The croissants were great and on the whole the breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes
Cons: Being British we thought the tea drinkers were not catered for: For example there was never any English breakfast tea available nor large cups available (there were only 2 mugs!!!)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of hotel is very good. The staff of hotel is very cooperative. The breakfast is very good there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Big Room, quiet (side lane), all you need for 2 days. Breakfast is a bit basic - though they had lactose free milk. But I am not there to stuff myself with breakfast specialities. Plus italy is not a breakfast country. (Croissant, Cafe is enough)
Cons: The area is a bit awkward. When leaving the hotel, the consierge advised us to walk on the main road. There are more cars. Areas in Katania often look very run down. So this lane was average. And maybe Katania as such is not such a safe place. Although, I had no personal bad experience, even when inadvertidly walking though a really poor area on the way to the bus. Overall the city is really poor, dirty and feels mismanaged (for a middle European). If one stay on the beaten tourist paths, though, you get the show that you pay for. The main streets in the center are clean, the houses facades are renovated. Inside some of them still crumble (e.g. a previous cloisture, now the state archive, with electrical cables outside the historic walls in the patio and old archive papers, obviously rotting in the light behind the window.)
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. The staff were very obliging and kind to us when we arrived very late due to a delayed flight. They directed us to park our hire car and took good care of watching it.
Cons: Nothing to complain about
